Remembrance of Times Past

Things were quiet for Ra, too quiet. Her life went on and she remained the same. No goals, no real objectives. She lived and that was all. There was nothing in her life and she felt lost. No duties called her with the Dominion. Her Force trainers had all disappeared and her jobs had dried up.

She still woke up everyday. Today something was different though, but she didn't know what. It may have been a tremor in the Force, but something felt like it was knocking at a door in her mind. Unable to figure it out on her own, Ra called up her only remaining friend. A person she had met what felt like a lifetime ago on Naboo. One of her first clients after her captain died. Stardust Raxis.

"Stardust, are you free to meet with me? I have something to ask and you're like the only person I feel I can turn to."

Ra left a time and location on the message and prepared herself for the meeting.

Indeed, life had a pause sometimes. It was as if all that was going on had grown tired and took a break leaving a void that caused many great confusion

For Stardust she felt it a blessing, thus have her time to work on herself and relax and focus on her personal life rather then worry about her planet

However, she received a message from a friend she hasn't seen in some time, honestly it was a friend she consider more then a friend...sister almost? In any case and messaged back and quickly left to meet with her

I'm on my way

She said taking off quick and arriving early at the meeting area listed

Ra walked onto the grounds of the park she picked for the meeting. It wasn't far from the spaceport and she didn't think they would be outside for long. Heavy clouds filled the sky with the threat of rain breaking any moment. Seeing her friend waiting for her, Ra gave the woman a large smile that lit up her face and practically ran to her. When she reached her, she would embrace her friend.

Stardust had been there to open up to her the door of learning about the Force, had gifted her the lightsabers she wore up her sleeves and had taken her on a cruise. Over the time they had known each other, hung out and become friends it almost felt like they were family. One of Ra's only friends and a person she would trust her life with.

"I am so glad you came. C'mon, let's get out of here before it starts raining. Besides, what I want to talk about or ask about...I'm not even sure what's going on, but I not out here."

Her voice started happy, but by the end of speaking, Ra had started to come across as lost or confused. She hoped her friend would be able to help her.

She looked up frowning, damn season always brought rain but she knew more rain the crops would grow a lot better and flower wine and tea would be on high production. She spotted her friend and saw her running as she hugged her and smiled,

Ra had been someone she had employed to help her ship something to a few people, in that time she had helped ra confirm she had the force and then gifted her some sabers from what she had built, she didn't know what to consider ra but on her books she was something of family

wouldn't miss it for the world ra and o agree always rains in this season more so then it should...

She had heard her voice lower a bit and frowned, she nodded and started leading her to a diner nearby somewhere the family knew her and got a private seat and then both were led back to sit

Ra let go of Stardust, but would keep a hold of a hand for a few moments longer. She smiled as her friend spoke saying she wouldn't miss a chance to meet with Ra if she could.

"On the bright side, there shouldn't be too many allergens in the air."

Of course, it wasn't raining yet and the pollen filled the air anyway. Ra wasn't bothered by it, but knew some people were.

When Stardust nodded, she left go her hand and fell into step next to her friend. They walked into a nearby diner where Star requested a private area where they could speak freely be arranged for them. It didn't take too long and soon they were seated in a back room that was probably used for meetings or parties.

Waiting until they were alone, Ra looked at Stardust and let out a sigh.

"I'm sure how to say this, but I think I'm going mad. It feels like there is something in my mind trying to be let out or in."

Once they were sat down and arranged with drinks simple pop, star listened and rubbed her chin as she looked at her and nodded lightly

odd, I had the some thing some time ago....

That was a time where her mind had cracked and her darker side pulsar has ran rampant and killed plenty of people, however star managed to in a sense kill her

dagaboh, you need to head there I feel what's bothering you will be solved going there, you must find a cave that is a source of the force there a vast amount and meditate

They waitress came back and asked if they were ready to order

but first...enjoy a meal with me?

Stardust listened as Ra spoke, not interupting her at all. When she finished speaking, her friend looked thoughtful for a moment as drinks arrived for them. Something similar had happened to her and that made Ra curious as to what the outcome was and what had caused it. She then suggested Ra go to Dagobah and meditate in a specific cave there. Through the Force she should be able to find it without guidance.

Inviting Ra to spend a little time with her and at least eat dinner, she agreed with a smile.

"Of course, I would be happy to join you for dinner. I'm sure it's better than those ration bars you like to eat."

Chuckling slightly at her remark, Ra quickly glanced over the menu and ordered what she wanted. Once Stardust did the same, she turned back to her friend.

"You know you're the person since my captain died to be a friend to me. In fact, it almost seems like we're sisters. I have your back and you have mine."

Stardust laughed at her comment about the ration bars, true they looked like ration bars but in truth they were premade meals packed with high calories to be able to sustain her bodies high use of calories

yeah I do admit that those can get tiring that's why I enjoy this place

Star smirked and chuckled as she looked over the menu and ordered before looking back up, she couldn't help but smile brightly at her words and looked down nodding

sisters huh? Yea...i never had any sisters by birth in fact the two I've had that I've considered a sister is you...and another who...cant remember me

They joined in laughing about the ration bars. Even Ra knew they were much more than just ration bars, but it's what they looked like that she teased her friend about. After they ordered and they mentioned the sister thing, whatever was knocking at Ra's mind kicked in again.

"My first few years are lost to me. Granted most people don't remember early childhood, but it's like there's a skip in time for me. A period of blank. Do you think instead of going right to Dagobah maybe looking to see if the orphanage I grew up in had any information?"

The mention of her and Star being sisters though made her smile.

"I wonder if we could like adopt each other somehow? Or have a ceremony or something?"

Scratching her head, she continued to smile.

She ordered her meal and then listened to her friend, indeed if you wanted to remember something you went to the place where you made them

hmmm that is the best idea then ra, it'll help you find that blank and fill it in...so head there

She smiled at her mentioning could they adopt each other or if there was a ceremony, star thought for a moment then spoke

Stardust listened intently to what Ra had to say and agreed it might be best to start at the orphanage and go from there. She could hope they may have some record of how she came to even be there. Maybe even where she was found or who brought her there. Anything would be better than the nothing she knew. As for the adopting, she could join the Raxis clan and in that way would be considered sisters.

"When I'm all done with finding my history, we can do that."

Giving her friend a large grin not bothering to hide the happiness she felt at the thought.

"Is there anything you might try to unlock or unblock whatever is in my mind before I leave?"

She gave a big smile, this meant for the clan it had a number blood to its numbers, star didnt hide her excitement at hearing that but joking held a out

promise me right? You'll return and I'll make it so

She then thought for a second and reached out with the force trying to enter her head but seemed she couldn't

I'm afraid whatever is bothering you has me blocked from entering

Stardust gave her a smile and made sure Ra promised when she came back that she would join clans with her and they would be as close as they could to sisters.

"What if they don't like me? I've never been part of a family before."

Ra felt the Force pushing into her mind and through her. She didn't feel anything stop the Force, but evidently something did and prevented Stardust from figuring out what was in there.

"It was worth a shot, thanks for trying. Guess I'll just have to do this on my own, but you've been such a help so far in giving me ideas and suggestions."

The food arrived and was​ served to them, the people leaving the room again after making sure everything was fine with the two of them.

"Any ideas as to what it might be, Star?"

She laughed and patted her arm as she sighed and shook her head lightly

I doubt that clan raxis is a very easy going clan

She said watching as the gold arrived, she started digging in with a smile moving the way this restraunt made their food, most was made by hand and served as such

could be, something happened when you were young either natural or uh well someone doesn't want ya remembering

Ra heard what Stardust said about the Raxis clan and nodded. She knew one other person in that clan and thought of him for a moment. Shaking her head slightly at the memory, she had told Star about what happened, but not with whom. If they became sisters, then she would be related to Teagan too.

"The few I've met are nice. So maybe it would work out. It is your husbands clan?"

The personal life of Star had rarely been mentioned in detail and while they were close, there were still some secrets between them. Very much like sisters, Ra thought.

"What's natural that would have caused this?"

The last part seemed interesting though. Who in her past would have wanted to keep her upbringing from her? What purpose?

Yes it is my husbands clan...hiwecer with him gone I've had to fill the position...there might be another I rhink...i gotta get in contact with him

She thought for a monent at her question as she shrugged and spoke

a coma hitting your head to hard long list, I've lost some of mine do to a injury so I don't remember my childhood up to 12

She wanted to help ra but she didn't have any idea how to...this is something ra needed to do

Ra nodded at Stardust's answer.

"Another what?"

She knew her husband was missing from a previous time when they got together. It was at that time, Ra learned Star had a son and had given her friend her word that if something were to happen to her, she would raise the child. So far though, Star was fine and had the child.

"How is your son doing?"

Digging into her almost forgotten food, Ra closed her eyes as taste filled her mouth. This was almost as good as her own cooking and in some ways better since she didn't have to worry about cleaning up after.

"Oh yes, that's right you told me that already. Well, I mean about your own memory. And there's no way to get that back?"

She waved A hand

it's nothing thinking out loud

She needed to find ardgal soon enough so that clan raxis cpuld be unified once more and while again...possibmy discuss the future of the clan

he is doing fine quite healthy and moving as he should, hasn't spoke anything yet but I can tell he is already force sensitive

She said, she was already halfway through her food not wanting to waste even a nibble of the food before her. She shook her head and looked to her

no they were lost along with whatever part of my brain got destroyed

With a wave of her hand, Stardust told Ra not worry about whatever she had said. Sometimes Ra spoke her thoughts out loud so understood what was meant when her friend said that. Moving past that and answering about the baby, she smiled at Star.

"That's good. I have yet to meet him. If we're going to be sisters, I want to meet him."

Taking more bites of her food, she nodded in memory of the conversation when they first met.

"That's too bad. It would be nice to know what your childhood was like."

There wasn't much food left and Ra finished off her last few bites.

She said as she took more bites of her food then looked up at her nodding

I suppose it set a chain of things in motion, thibk of it this way if I had never had the accident I'd of never met you because of have a fleet of ships already

She took the last bite of hers as she gave a smile
