Description: An attempt by Rendili Stardrive to meet the popularity and effectiveness of the age old LAAT gunship designed during the clone wars by its competitors, the company has strove to design a dropship capable of delivering a number of troops and vehicles to the combat zone just as it did, though without the difficulty for a military of fielding a large number of variations to get the job done right. Armed with a pair of composite beam turrets, laser cannons, and a concussion missile launcher, the RAET is slightly less armed than the LAAT, but it does have a greater carrying capacity, though it is also larger in size as well and thus a larger target. Nonetheless the Rendili Atmospheric Entry Transport has a thick hull plating in exchange for its lack of firepower and bigger bulk to ensure its survivability. Its hoped that it will become as iconic as the LAAT it was constructed to replace in the modern era.
