Rescuing the grandmaster

I thinking making some threads to attempt to rescue Kiskla would be a fun thing to do. Though, I think it'd be more fun to attempt to play this out as the Jedi trying to pin down her location rather than just saying, "Oh, we're in the dungeon that Kiskla is held in!"

So with that in mind, I have a question I would appreciate being answered: was there any character in the Republic or friendly to the Republic that witnessed Kiskla's capture and by which Sith?

I don't think there was another Jedi or Republic member who was nearby that didn't get captured, since my alt Arcanix captured Viper and he was the only other Jedi nearby, everyone else was affiliated with the Sith. You would probably need to start capturing some Sith and interrogating them to start the information gathering process

*cringes* Vornskr's playtime dungeon? Best of luck to you.

I have to agree with Seraph, an attack on Vornskr's capital to try to free the grandmaster would just end up with a pile of our bodies. We could always try to surround him at one of the two upcoming objectives and capture him and attempt a trade.

That would probably be for the best, would minimize casualties. Though Vornskr is no joke, since he is one of, if not the, strongest characters on the board in my opinion. So maybe have a few masters on that.

But if we do capture him that's a major trading piece. Just my 2 cents.

Ya'll she's saying she doesn't want to insta spam into Kaine's location.

But work an investigation up on trying to determine where she may be.

IE -- interview anyone who was on Manaan who saw her get kidnapped as her first step. lol

[member="Jack Rand"] and [member="Seraphina Shel'tah"] are correct.

I will say this right now, and make it very clear - an attack on Panatha would be ill-advised not solely because of Kaine, but because of the fact that it sits comfortably within the territory of the Fringe. VlPER's actions at Manaan already gave the Lords of the Fringe plenty justification for coming after the Republic; they're the kind of guys that will hunt you down clear across the galaxy for stealing a ship... and that's tame for them.

In short, I wouldn't push it. Any other option for the reacquisition of Kiskla Grayson would be far less treacherous. Also, consider talking to [member="Kiskla Grayson"] herself. She might have ideas. :)

Edit - also what [member="Kira Liadain"] said. ;)

[member="Kira Liadain"] My post was a joke, if it didn't come across as such. I read what she was saying, but I still wouldn't go to Panatha even if we found out IC where she was.

...He waggles his eyebrows too much at Sera. Gives her the creeps.

Edit: [member="Ilias Nytrau"] please don't come after us...We are going to run out of planets for everyone to invade.

Hmmm, could always capture Sith in the upcoming invasions. See if they know anything. Then take a strike force/set a trap for Vornskr if they spill.

Or. . . .put a ship in orbit with a hypervelocity cannon and have it calculate a trajectory for his capital after a strike team places a beacon in his bedroom. . . .(yeah probably considering what sort of defenses he has. Definitely set a trap)

I can see two options here,

Option 1: Talk to Kiskla and see what she's comfortable with. She'll talk to her captors and throw us a bone, God willing.

Option 2: Roleplay fluff scenarios around the idea of recovering Kiskla until her writer is comfortable returning to the fold willing. Story allowing.

Since I'm assuming your going for Option 2? Erm. I have no idea where to start. Lol. Sorry. These other ideas sounded pretty good. :D

[member="Kiskla Grayson"] has Internet again! Woo-hoo.

So, at the risk of repeating what has been said there are two options - and you can pursue both:

1. Discuss OOC with her what her plan is (I'm sure she has some ideas)

2. Do IC whatever you want to do. But heed the warnings above. The only good Jedi is an alive Jedi.

:)

I already have a vague idea of what Kiska plans to do, but it's not going to affect the IC desire that characters might have in order to rescue her.

It sounds like the Republic characters don't know who took Kiska. Sounds like an investigation is in order.

[member="Sabena Shai"] I'm actually not sure that is accurate. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that [member="Aaralyn Rekali"] interacted with Vornskr and his escape ship... And may have sensed the presence of the Grandmaster leaving Manaan.

Could totally be off about that.
