Resolve, accuracy and speed

Corvus enjoyed a light lunch with the Padawans. One was a Twi'lek and the other an orphan from Coruscant - rescued before the One Sith took the planet.

She kept them busy for an hour, discussing the Code before giving them a refresher on Force Push. She gauged their relative strengths and then asked them to wait and relax in a meditative state. As they did, she entered Force Valor. Having pulled the Force to her and boosted her own abilities, she imagined the flow of the Force enlarging - in a similar fashion to the way she'd create a Force Barrier. Once she felt they were within her influence, she asked them how they felt.

Except in asking, she broke the connection. They both agreed they had felt more alive with the Force than before. So it was a partial success - but would require a lot more practice. So she settled to try again.

Over and over Corvus repeated the exercise. Hours became days before she felt confident enough to allow the Padawans to test their increase in performance. It was one thing for them to say they felt the Force more strongly, but it was their performance that mattered.

Both scored significantly higher, so Corvus repeated this over and over, using different measures and across the board they had improved strength, speed and accuracy.

But up until this point it only worked when Corvus was completely still. She needed to be able to perform the Ability whilst active. Which was why there was always a tomorrow.

Corvus was slow and patient and as the youngsters were receiving tuition on the ship, she knew they weren't neglecting their duties.

It took a further two weeks but finally Corvus was able to spar and use simple Force powers whilst at the same time use Force Valor to augment the Padawan's performance. For them, the culmination of the training was almost a disappointment - but for Corvus it was simply the result of dedication and hard work - but she vowed to do something special for the two Padawans for all their hard work...
