Campaign Return of the Jedi: SJC Campaign to TSE held Voss (Jabiim; Nespis VIII; Chandaar; Ossus, and Voss Hexes)

Objective: Buy the Rangers time
Enemies: Darth Insatious
Gear: Lightsaber, 3x Stimpacks, FF-CAR1, Standard Attire

Cas continued to press on despite the eerie whispers in his mind - to be honest, it was no different to Cas' own incessive inner monologues. His Force push seemed to have an effect on Darth Insatious, but in hindsight, it was moot as the Sith Lord used some advanced Dark side ability allowing him to literally transport further away. Before the young Knight could comprehend what happened, Insatious' floating lightsabers were on him again.

Performing several backflips to create some distance between him and the lightsabers, he finally landed on his feet again and prepared to defend himself. However, this time was different, they were more erratic and harder to predict "All this... effort... for me? You... shouldn't... have!" he quipped as he desperately waved his lightsaber around, attempting to protect himself. Finally managing to break through his defences, Cas received a few cuts that singed or tore through his clothing - if Insatious wanted to, he could have killed him right there... was he being toyed with?

Continuing his attempts to defend himself, he knew all this was hopeless unless he could engage the Sith directly. Well, that issue may be solving itself as the dread-haired Jedi could see the Lord of Hunger rapidly approaching him and before he knew it, he felt an invisible force collide with his body and in-turn sending him back. Hard. The force of his landing sent him tumbling backward, as well as forcing him to lose his grip on his lightsaber - barely able to gather his bearings, one of the lightsabers was hurling towards but Cas quickly swatted it away with his own telekinesis.

Extending his right arm out, Cas swiftly summoned his lightsaber into his hand with the Force before placing both hands on the hilt and thrusting it upward, defending himself from Insatious' fatal blow. The two would be engaged in another blade lock with Cas on the ground and at a disadvantage. However, he did not display any fear or worry and in fact, smirked upon the Sith Lord - Cas had a trick, a dirty trick, up his sleeve. "Must really burn you up, huh? All this effort and I'm still kicking." he said, hoping to both distract and get under the the Lord of Hunger's skin.

Holding his lightsaber up with his cybernetic arm, Cas released the grip of his right hand and swiftly grabbed a handful of dirt from the ground next to them. Without giving Insatious a chance to react or figure out what was happening, the Jedi Knight threw a handful of dirt and dust into the Sith Lord's face through his mask's open eye-holes. Whether it affected him or not, Cas didn't have the time to figure it out and jerked his knee upward in hopes of it connecting with Insatious' groin or lower stomach. Then, following that Cas directed Darth Insatious' blade away with his own lightsaber creating an opening for him to roll out of the blade lock. Getting up to his feet, the Jedi Knight raised his lightsaber and swung it down diagonally in hopes of ending the Sith Lord.

A dazed Yula looked up to find herself splayed across the lap of a woman with crimson skin and a certain type of ferocious beauty. The kind of woman who could snap the Zeltron in half like a twig.

Her cheeks flushed a deep maroon against pink skin, as the most sheepish feeling washed across her face and continued through her body.
“N-no. I mean—“ Yula straightened, sliding off of the woman’s lap and ran a hand through her disheveled hair in an attempt to sort herself out. Despite her flustered appearance, Yula managed to regain enough focus to take stock of the situation at hand. “No. I’m fine.” The Sith—pureblood?—seemed mildly irritated with her grand entrance, but hadn’t lashed out.

That was good, maybe Yula could manage to slip away without rousing too much suspicion.

“We’re sorry to have disturbed you Miss...Sith?” Bending down, she hastily collected the whining droid in her arms, who was fine but being too dramatic to walk. As she did, her lightsaber hilt tucked into the fold of her waistband became dislodged, clattered to the floor, and rolled to the crimson woman’s feet.

“Well that’s, I have more vents to clean, sorry thank youuuu!”

She made a mad dash for the door.

They expressed their opinion on the state of their well being, sliding out of her grasp and attempting to excuse themself before the clatter on the floor caught the pureblood's attention. The curious tilt of her head had her eyes falling on a lightsaber hilt.

Her brow drew together as the person made for the door. Jonu rose, putting a hand on the floor while the other hand extended and used the force to pull the dropped item to her.

It seemed maintenance had found a wayward saber.

"Hold-I said, hold on!"
Jonu scrambled after the Zeltron, chasing her out into the hallway and attempting to catch up without actively using the force. Seemed a bit too much, but it would quickly not be.

A large troop of aliens local to Voss started pouring in from the side - as far as Mathieu could see, none of them actually came out from the tower itself. The Gormak soldiers did not open fire on them, however. But to say that tensions weren't high would be a lie as the two groups were both rather well prepared to tear each other apart.

Before a full scale battle could break out, the assassin who had now appeared behind them spoke "Halt!" Okay, fine - Mathieu slowed down as he reached the front of the ranger troop - if battle were to break out, that's where he figured that he would do the most good. But then, it seemed like the woman offered them a way to resolve the situation without an all-out battle.

Her words bounced about in his mind for a few moments 'you and the kid'. It was obvious who she was referring to, but he did wonder why she thought of him as a kid. Was it his naive chase when she assassinated his allies? Was it his youthful appearance? Or had she just reached the age where more people under 30 were kids to her? It didn't matter, ultimately. What he cared about was achieving their objectives with as little violence and bloodshed as possible.

Turning to look to Beltran, he let out a short "You were right, she does have something to protect" It seemed almost obvious now, seeing how she called out her troops when they started to near the temple - presumably, they had been at her disposal when they were just 14 Concord loyalists in the courtyard too.

"We should accept" he said, speaking with a somewhat lowered tone as he kept his gaze on the Captain. Ultimately, this was not Mathieu's choice, but he hoped that the Ranger would see the benefits of the duel on his own. Of course, it was hard to gauge how the apparent assassin would do in a fight such as this and the Padawan knew that it would be reckless for himself to go up against her alone, but together with Beltran, he liked his chances.

She crossed the threshold between light and dark. The shadows of the building casting over her, and the heat of the day vanished with it. Coci slowed her pace as she kept to the wall and approached the first corner. She could feel the presence of many people in the lower part of Voss-ka, keeping to their homes while the battle raged not far from them. How long the distance between safety and danger would last only the force knew. Her senses could receive the emotions of some many all at once, almost overwhelming with fear and confusion, and suspicion. Not the first time she had felt them from others over the years of fight wars. It did not matter the place or the planet, emotions were universal in the circumstances.

Looking around the corner, still shrouded in the force, she could see by the decay of the buildings, time under the Sith had not been kind. She was not surprised of course, no one expects it to be otherwise. This street was clear, not to say others were the same and the situation could change in a moment. Coci fully expected there would be a Sith presence here, if for no other reason than to keep control of them and the people, the last thing the Sith would want would be a revolution of the proletariat Voss.

Coci made her way down the street, and as if on cue a Sith recon droid floated toward her, she stopped still cloaked and waited for the thing to pass before moving forward again and crossing the street to enter a small alley. She dropped her force cloak and contacted the Break of Dawn. “Captain, it is time”. Several shuttles would begin their descent to ground to await the arrival of the evacuees. Now all she needed to do was to convince the people to leave and clear the path of anything that got in their way.

Easier said than done.

Setting foot on Voss, this would stay with her for all time.

Valae's eyes grew wide, already brimming with tears. This was once their home. And look what the Sith had done to it. The buildings were dark ruins, like a permanent shadow thrown against them. They looked drawn, bloodless, like anything vital had been stripped away.

The Valkyri soldiers were moving, so, too were her parents. It was time for her to do the same. With a last glance in the direction of Thurion and Coci as they marched off to battle, as they'd done countless times, Valae sent silent well wishes along after them. They'd come out of this, they always did. She lifted her comm, her feet already in motion.

“As for me, I'm going to walk it,” she replied to Starchaser. “I'll meet you there.”

Of course, she could easily have requested a shuttle to take her. But, she wanted to walk the streets of Voss. For some reason, she needed to feel the full weight of this day. With her saber in her hand, she walked the streets on the way towards their destination: the hospital. All the while, she kept her eyes and senses wary and alert – on the look out for friend or foe alike.

There were so many memories here, on Voss.

She'd grown from a padawan to a knight here, and then, finally, became a Jedi master. Each era had strong memories attached, and faces to go along with them. Joza, Sorel, and Orihime from her Padawan years. Valkren and Arisa from her time as a Knight. Theodred, a name and a face that had been there throughout all her time as a Jedi. And there were many more, from her time as Grandmaster.

The healer drew a breath, steeling herself for what was to come. “I'm here,” she'd say into the comm unit to Jared. “Let's get this done.”

Voss-ka Streets, Valkyri Landing Site

Valkyri.

The hardened warriors of the ice, giants of Midvinter. To live on such a hostile world required the strongest of resolve, a stubborn determination. Their technological ineptitude had been corrected with the addition of large suits of armor. It was a battle of giants with the Valkyri against the Blackblades, elite superhuman butchers of House Zambrano.
"Braxus of House Zambrano. I have come to repay my debt to the people of Voss by liberating them from the horrors of the Sith Empire. You are in my way."
There they were once more.
The Jedi Master facing down the Lord of the Sith it was almost as if no time had passed at all between them, since the days of their battlefield conflicts of the past. The conflicts between House Zambrano and Heavenshield were decades old stemming deep in the past with not only himself but his nephew, Kaine. It was almost poetic to face the former Grandmaster on the field here at the site of a place that had once been the capital of the Silver Jedi Order for many decades, a center of its power as a light infused bastion of the north. But those days were long in the past and time had changed things. As the legendary blade infused with the power of the sun came forth, Daesumnor glowed with darkness. A cobalt flame born from the depths of the dark side glowed on the blade. In another time his runeblade might've struggled against such light. Not anymore. Daesumnor glowed with the power of darkness, new fresh runes glowed on the surface of the blade. A revolutionary creation by both Darth Carnifex and Darth Prazutis to counteract force light now reinforcing the dark steel, for its coming clash.
"Liberation. Freedom. I will show you the freedom of the grave, Heavenshield." The Shadow Hand said turning towards the escort that accompanied him "Do not interfere. This one is mine." The Mountain broke into a charge towards the man, no. To denote Thurion Heavenshield as a man demeaned his immense stature. Towards the giant. As he neared the Grandmaster an explosion of sonic fury came from his vambrace, a powerful repulsor blast aimed to catch the man off guard, strike at him and unbalance him to rock his foundation, as Daesumnor came down.

Enyo's pursuit of the Jedi led her from the battleground in the centre of Voss-Ka into what passed for a slum. The scent was foul, the garbage had not been collected in ages and the buildings were dilapidated. Indeed, some were little more than ramshackle huts. It reminded her of the squalour and poverty of Lower Coruscant, though on a significantly smaller scale since Voss-Ka was not a planet-wide mega city. Here, the dregs of society, the forgotten and impoverished lived. Conditions had remained the same for millennia, no matter whether Jedi Grandmasters, Supreme Chancellors or Sith Emperors.

She doubted it had been any different when the Silver Jedi held sway here. The common man trapped in a slum did not care who ruled him, only whether he was going to make it through the night alive. On Coruscant, she had harnessed the desperation, disconctent and anger of those who lived in a land that never saw light, while the aristocrats and Jedi lived in ivory towers that reached for the skies. There, she had found sanctuary and started her insurrection against her makers.

The reason for this was quite simple: the harsh conditions were an ideal forge, a crucible the strong were able to pass through. She had no sympathy for those who waited for a saviour or mana, but respect for those who seized their own destiny. Those worthy enough to survive the Darwinian attrition had found a place in her enterprise.

Her steps were quiet as she surreptitiously followed the Jedi. Her mechu-deru senses tingled when the Jedi sent her transmission. The roar of engines could be heard in the distance as shuttles broke through the heavens. But her focus was on her quarry. Now she could see the Jedi as well as hear her. Enyo did not melodramatically shout at the Jedi, let out a war cry or blather about how the Light would be eclipsed. Such puerile antics were not the way of the machine-child. Instead she raised her rifle and squeezed the trigger in the same moment as her cloak dropped. The rifle was no ordinary blaster whose shots were dodged or blocked with comical ease.

The first two rounds were fired in Charric mode. Not only did the bolts have remarkable armour-piercing power, they delivered kinetic force as well as the powerful plasma bolt. This made them difficult to deflect with a lightsabre, as the kinetic force would carry through the blade, into the hilt and the wielder's hands and wrists. In short, a Jedi who deflected these rounds with a sabre could get their weapon knocked out of their graso.

The third round was a 12.7mm slug round, a behemoth projectile that could disable vehicles and mess up opponents in armour because it travelled through the air real fast and hit very hard. Slugthrowers were a staple of Force-User hunting due to the difficulty involved in deflecting them with a lightsabre. She aimed for the centre of mass of the Jedi. Her lightsabre remained on her belt, but could be drawn within the blink of an eye.

As much as the two opposing families, Houses Heavenshield and Zambrano, completely and uttered despised one another and being total opposites in virtues and values, there still remained that sense of mutual respect for one another, warrior to warrior. When these two forces clashed on the battlefield, there was never any question whether they would seek each other out; each knew they were the only true match for the other.

So was also the case this day at the Battle of Voss-Ka, when High King Thurion Heavenshield faced off against Braxus Zambrano, Lord of Lies. A Jedi Master and a Sith Lord, locking in a seemingly endless conflict. A more fitting image for the state of the galaxy at large could not be found.

Braxus' devious use of a repulsor blast from his vambraces shook Thurion's otherwise firmly-rooted stance, forcing him to shift his weight and step aside as the dreaded blade of Daesumnor descended, glancing off his phrik pauldron and chipping the nose of the lion depicted upon it. The huge swing had left Braxus open for just one brief moment however, allowing the Lion to bite back.

Wielding a much more lightweight blade, yet without having sacrificed sturdiness thanks to the work of the Aelvar, Thurion countered by sending forth a Force Push, likewise intended to disturb his opponent's stance and allow him to follow through with a series of quick blows targeting an opening in the Sith Lord's defense.

In the case the Shadow Hand was struck by the blade of Anarion, the lightside energy stored within would cause significant damage just from touching it.

The Sith were not the only ones with the power to banish their sworn enemies. As Darkness rises, so does Light to meet it.

So far it was just appetisers before the main course, as each warrior tested the other, prodding for potential weaknesses.

As the enemy reinforcements arrived on the scene, Beltran held up a first and called for a halt. The thirty-some odd troopers under his command slowed and then stopped, each training their weapons on the newly arrived force. These ragged looking tribespeople, even with their obvious technical prowess, did not daunt the Rangers. Many of the men and women here had faced down a charge of Bryn'adul brutes and survived. A few techno-barbarians weren't going to be much of a problem.

At the head of the column, Beltran saw Mathieu Brion Mathieu Brion take his position-ready to lend his saber in the defense of his troops. Good, Beltran thought to himself. The young Jedi was quickly learning how to be the most effective in a situation like this, which put him far ahead of many Jedi far older than he in Beltran's opinion.

"Halt!"

The woman's voice called out from behind them, causing Beltran to turn and level his weapon at the woman in one impossibly fast movement. With him, without bring prompted, half of his force also turned and levelled their rifles at her while the other half remained fixed on the Irregulars.

"I offer a deal. A decent duel. You and the kid, against me. If you win you can go to temple. If I win, you will leave and your people can do it unscathed. If you want, you can also be assured that this will happen.”

Beltran felt a slight sense of triumph that that his gambit had worked, even as Jedi Brion offered his own acknowledgement. The question then became whether he should accept. He wasn't worried about the Gormack force. Even if they got in trouble, Beltran had another thirty or so troops holding the ground beyond courtyard's gate. He could call them in now and flank the woman on both sides.

That being said, he didn't know whether there were Sith more troops hiding where these had come from. The tides could very well turn just as easily against him. Then came the matter of the woman's status as part of the Eternal Empire. If Beltran refused a fair duel and killed her summarily, it would likely push the Empire to form even closer ties with the Sith.

"We should accept."

Finally, there was the matter of Jedi Brion. Whatever he might think personally about Jedi idealism, Beltran knew that if he chose a path of undue bloodshed the young Jedi would sooner or later tell his superiors, over even feel compelled to act against him here. While Beltran had experienced a certain level of autonomy from Ranger command as a result of his ability to get results, he didn't imagine that leeway was infinite. Pushing too much, for no real gain, would be difficult to explain as anything other than bloodlust.

And that wouldn't fly.

After a tense moment of consideration, Beltran allowed his rifle barrel to drop. Reaching back with his off hand, he unclasped the buckles that held his helmet in place and pulled the piece of protective equipment off. Looking back at Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim with his equally cold green eyes, he nodded and spoke.

"I accept your terms."

Oh, Kark with a capital K.

As Yula rushed through the door, the giantess lifted herself from the ground and gave chase. Outmatched in stride length, the Zeltron grimaced. The Sith would be on her shortly if she didn’t do something quick.

"That's okay! You have very important things to do, so go and do them!"

Was that an attempt at a mind trick, or a poor excuse?

“Uhh…” Hurriedly patting her chest and abdomen, she came up short. No grenades, no flashbangs. The ants, even if she had them, would be of no use. Unless the Sith was cybernetic. Yula glanced behind her quickly, eyes shifting forward just in time to narrowly avoid running into a stack of crates.

She reached out and toppled the pile, all without touching the boxes. Crates scattered across the floor, obstructing the path behind her.

But for how long?

Practically salivating Jaeson looked around the room. He could barely hear Jerek as he vacantly looked around the room and smiled. There was history here, and beyond that there was something else… fortune and glory.

“Yeah yeah…” he said dismissively. “Jedi artifacts only,” of course if a few valuable sith artifacts got lost in the confusion, who was to say what went where?”

Without much further thought Jaeson started to walk before turning around. He stared at the other boy and his face contorted in thought. He wanted to ditch Jerek, wanted to run amok and gather as much as he could but there was a lingering feeling, a familiar feeling of darkness and despair about the place. The less to say about the jeweled ring the better. With utmost reluctance he spoke up, “We should stick together, this is a tumultuous time and it would be better to face challenges together.”

This of course meant that Jerek would be side by side with him, watching his every move. Jae felt comfortable with his abilities to pick a pocket and general slight of hand but should he risk that with a Jedi beside him? Regardless when trouble came a Jedi, even a young learner like Jerek, was better than nothing. The ups and downs of the little adventure.

No more words were needed. Jaeson continued on. He didn’t know where to go, he didn’t need to know where to go. It was a strange thing to feel the way ahead. Twists and turns followed through emptied chambers and hollow halls before finally a door came in sight. This was it, there was a treasure here. He could feel it, his hearts desire behind a single double metallic door.

The mechanism to open it seemed jammed or otherwise power wasn’t getting to it. Jaeson approached and crouched next it opening a panel and fiddling with it for a moment as shadows warped around him.

Crossing some wires and shorting a circuit caused the door to swoosh open revealing a room beyond… a library and more. Dusty tomes and containers with treasures uncountable. A gleam in his eye overtook him as he entered the room. “You lived here?” he asked Jerek stepping into the large room. chamber credit signs in his eyes...

Sabaton – Rise of Evil

They stopped at her shout, which was good. Maybe it wasn't because of Adrian, these soldiers didn't challenge her much, even if they were in larger numbers. Maybe it was mostly because of the temple. It is never good to go to war in a holy place. Don’t get her wrong, the lady wasn’t superstitious, but the voss seemed quite a peaceful race and the fact that someone wanted to do bloodshed in their holy place, especially since they were good boys in principle, was pretty weird. What was that soldier looking for on the side of the Jedi?

The kid would apparently go into the duel. For a moment, she wondered if she would summon Adrian's entire army, would they be able to avoid this fight altogether? But then she could feel Prazutis' aura even further away, but also with other strong Light Side aura around the temple. Ingrid already knew here that this would not end well. Actually, most of all, she wanted to avoid an accident like the one on Bastion, that explosion. That wouldn't have been pleasant because Adrian wasn't protected by any armour.

She wondered for a moment whether she would show her face as well or not. They may not have known her face in the entire galaxy before, but now that she has become the regent, she has become a known person. Ingrid could stay in the shadows until then, but not anymore. However, it was known that she was a straight character, much better than her Emperor, in military matters the woman always kept what she promised. That was probably in the files about her. But if she reveals her identity, they will also know that Adrian is inside. She hesitated for a moment, but she already knew how to save the situation.

Finally, she stabbed the two swords into the ground and took off her helmet. The wind caught her red hair, her blue eyes watching the two men. If the two men were proficient in international politics, they could easily recognize that she was the Overlord of the Eternal Empire, the Empress Regent in the absence of the current ruler, the Emperor.

”If you recognize me, you know why I personalized this whole thing. I do not wish to actually declare war on the SCJ on behalf of the Eternal Empire, that is, better than we stand now. But you made the right decision, saving the lives of your people. And you also know that at the end of the duel, I’m really going to let them go. It is not my habit to break my word.”

With that, she took the helmet back and pulled the hood on it, then took the two swords in her hands again. She waited for the soldier to lock his helmet again, then swung toward his opponents. She targeted the soldier first, he seemed the more dangerous of the two.

The tension in the air was thick. If it had been any thicker, it would probably have been possible to cut through it with a knife. Still, Mathieu kept his eyes on the Gormak, ready to act if the woman would not stay true to her word. He had no doubt that she would understand - in war against Sith, honesty and honour was not the first thing one would expect.

But the Gormak did not attack and before long, Beltran accepted her offer. The three of them would fight.

Standing up straight from the defensive stance he had held, the Jedi Padawan moved back through the lines over to Beltran and Ingrid. The woman took off her helmet and Mathieu's eyebrows immediately furrowed. She looked very familiar - the kind of person who would have appeared on the news. Still, he could need seem to pinpoint exactly who she was until the mention of the Eternal Empire.

It was not quite what he had expected - to face someone so important on the field of battle. Unlike Beltran, Mathieu had not taken note of the mark on her arm earlier. The Eternal and the Sith Empire had been in conflict with each other not too long ago. But now, it seemed like they were united against the Jedi, the good guys. Empires did not necessarily have to be connected to the Dark Side and Sith, but they did often have something in common: They were authoritarian and rarely democracies that gave the people a say in who should lead. He was still surprised to see her there and couldn't help but let out a brief "Wow, you Imperial types really do stick together, don't you?"

Soon, it would be made clear that the time for words was over. Her helmet went back on and she took hold of her weapons once more. And then she attacked.

Upon seeing the Lady of the Eternal Empire target the Captain, Mathieu sprung to action and propelled himself to intercept her with a force enhanced leap. By swinging his sabre in a circular motion in front of him, he hoped to be able to catch both of her blades - it was a purely defensive move and stood no real chance of harming her. But then, he did come in with quite a bit of force and the momentum he had prompted him to keep trying to push her back. Regardless of whether she would be pushed back or not, he would look for when both her blades pushed against his one - if that happened, he would try to raise it and kick her back.

The boy looked at the girl softly.

In another world they may have truly known each other. In another world they would have sat down together instead of just hearing about each other, two promising students who both had grasped the basics of the force much quicker than most other students.

When he had left the order, Amani had still been a serving Jedi Padawan. When he had left the order, he was sure Amani had still been devoted to the light. If that was the case, then why did she feel so conflicted and torn between light and dark.

In many ways, she reminded Caden of himself.

He watched as Amani turned from him, turned to walk down the street away from him. She had asked what he was doing on Voss, which made it clear that they weren't on the planet for the same reason. She had also attempted to tell him to go away, that it wasn't safe.

The sound of battle in the distance was loud, artillery shells piercing the silence between Amani and Caden. He was almost glad he had avoided the bulk of the battle, the noise itself would have driven him to madness way before the killing and the death did.

Instead of letting the girl walk, the boy followed.

"It's all well and good asking why I'm here, but I think that's clear. The better question is why are you here? Why are you here Amani? If it's not safe here, return home with me, come to Kashyyyk. Whatever is causing the conflict within you, we can fix it"

He smiled slightly towards her, hoping his words of reassurance would help.

He didn't need to be told more than once. He listened, and despite Naria's abrasive attitude he was just glad to have someone telling him what to do for once. He didn't have to question himself as to whether he had done the wrong thing.

She would definitely tell him so.

Keeping his blades on he moved with the group. The blue of his sabers left few shadows in the corners, but no one came for him. If this had been a trap, perhaps they had realised the strength of the Jedi was too great here. They were nearly through the building, reading to move on.

Acaadi stopped suddenly. He sensed a presence. Not the one he had expected.

Amani

He couldn't help be reach out towards her instinctively, regardless of what was happening around him.

Kadann didn't have the great suits of armor that his master wore into battle. He had simple dyed black leathers with durasteel plates woven into specific areas in strips. He didn't even have his own lightsaber. He had a vibro cleaver made of phrik. Kadann didn't even have those great powers of Sith magic. His focus was narrow, enhancing his own physical abilities.

That cleaver was already stained by gore. The blood of silver rangers who had cross the path of him and his small group of Sith soldier. Kadann didn't know the battlefield, he followed along with them as they fought back and ambushed as many invaders as they could.

But now he made a decision. Now he could sense the light side of the Force.

"Follow me," he cried, and to his surprise they did. He rounded a street corner and skidded to a halt. The breeze carried golden leaves behind him as he stood very still.

"Jedi!" he called out. A woman with silver hair leading a group of civilians.

The metal cleaver hissed as he lifted it from his shoulders. Finally, a chance to prove himself.

TOWER OF PROPHESY, VOSS
(Just) Duncan (Just) Duncan Kingsley Kingsley

A splash in a pond piqued Joycelyn’s attention and caused her to rush forward, blaster held in front of her. However, when she got there, the pond was empty and the Sith felt like a fool.

But she was not the only one.

“Rrrawk! Why hello beautiful”

Joycelyn lowered her blaster momentarily as she looked in Kingsley’s direction. Even the fires that surrounded her cocked their proverbial heads. Her eyebrows furrowed against the shade-wearing avian as he smoothed his... hair(?) back and asked her about the nearest gym.

By Vahl, he could really need a few trips to the gym.

HONK!
M U R D E R !
The sound pf Duncan's war-honk cut through the air and Joycelyn turned instinctually, raising the blaster and pulling the trigger twice. The particle blaster pulverised a section of wall, while the avian charmer appeared determined to decorate everything with bantha shot.

Joycelyn’s eyes narrowed and an idea pinged into her mind. The very thought made her simultaneously smirk wryly and grimace in disgust.

Hey hot stuff!” -She shouted over the gunfire as she brushed some of her black hair to the side and behind her ear. Joycelyn lowered her blaster and let her posture fall into a casual contrapposto. She forced a charming smile and fluttered her dark eyelashes at Kingsley.

You don’t happen to know who owns that ship, do you?

With a nod of her head she gestured to the burning ship that was slowly filling with water.

Peace begins with a smile.

Kit: Lightsaber, force-imbued stick, a spare dataspike, a nice straw hat.

The darkness closed in, like a river seeping through the walls. This was not just the background noise of darkness harmonising with itself, but something sinister looking, seeking for them. Kaia wondered for a moment if her inability to shut herself off from the Force had put them at risk. She doubted-

No, she would not let go. Not yet. She was background; She was walls and brooms; She was silence and dust; She was nothing.

Someone is looking for us.”

Yet, the flaming eye sought. How did it know? What could they see? When stealth was in doubt, perhaps a diversion was better? If Kaia could catch their attention, she could lead them into a diversion. It felt right. The next step in the infiltration was too technical for the miraluka anyway.

You two take care of the elevator.

Kaia shifted the grip in her stick, bringing it between her hands as the blackness whittled into points.

“I will distract the eye, make it follow me while you complete the mission.” She smiled, dimples growing deep in her face “The Force will lead us back together, sisters.

As the spears shot forward, Kaia’s hands came together, palm to palm. She let the Force flow through her, then parted her hands as from between her fingers sparked a flash of pure, white light. It only lasted a moment, but she hoped it would suffice to dispel the spikes in her immediate vicinity as it lanced back at those who spied on them.

That was sure to garner some attention

Kaia then took the moment to gather her presence, but did not tuck it away again as she slipped out of the broom closet and ran in the opposite direction of Alana and Starchaser.

If the guards followed, then so be it. She had no doubt her co-conspirators could deceive them and get past, get to the library, and plant that virus.
