Return of the Klaxxi (OP Dominion of Sullust)

[member="Anya Venari"], [member="Coryth Elaris"]

"Yes, Your Majesty." There were no more words to be said and so Kaida gave a salute and cut the connection. Calls were made, units were assembled and within an acceptable span of time a joint task force of Eldorai and Firemane units had been assembled, along with some unassigned Protectorate forces.

Swiftly enough after everyone had been loaded into transport ships and boarded, Seraph Kaida Taldir, dressed in her prototype cortosis armour, the Seraphim Assault Armour, since her writer decided this thread would work well as the second part of a dev thread, found herself aboard the bridge of an Alcori-Class Light Star Defender, the SQS (Star Queens' Service) Artemisia. As it happened, Anya was the only Exarch left, so she could legally order her Exarchate to provide ships. Of course, many amongst the crew were still inexperienced and simply due to the lack of trained Eldorai officers up to the task, they had kept humans in command of the vessel, but then Kaida was amongst the elves who weren't racist.

Crew was not up to full strength, but she could trust the Angelii and Ariane's Fist soldiers. More to the point, the battleship's cargo bays had some very nasty Firemane walkers loaded. The battleship broke through the dark void of space and then slipped into the vast nothingness that was hyperspace. Give or take a few hours, they would be on Sullust. Transmission would be sent to the Protectorate military authorities, specifically the ODF Fleet closest to the scene ([member="Anika Od'Manteiv"]) and Vice Admiral Hastings ([member="Sarge Potteiger"]) to pas on the message that the Eldorai were going in.

Felicity couldn't remember the name of the Protectorate ship they were docked at now. It really didn't matter. She'd offered her services, whatever she could do, and that was that. So far, that had meant running meaningless errands and sweeping the corridors. Sometimes fetching a meal for one of the ships officers. She was far too young to help with anything military. She was only sixteen, and she's been told that the age to enlist was eighteen. So stupid. On Naboo, age meant almost nothing. She'd been so disappointed when she'd heard. Right now, she just felt like cargo. Cargo that would occasionally do some meaningless chores. Still, she had to earn her keep somehow.

It was while she'd been bringing a meal to one of the ships officers that she overheard a distress call from a certain Jedi Master. The very one who'd been the reason that her and Owain didn't get hopelessly lost forever in space and run out of fuel. She'd set the tray down without a word, turned on her heel and headed straight to the hangar where her Fathers ship waited.

She was not under the official employ of the Protectorate. She was in no way obligated to stay if she didn't want to. Legally, nobody could stop her. The only one who could talk her out of it was probably [member="Owain"] and who knew where he was off to. Probably sleeping or maybe he was trying to make himself useful too. She turned the corner and headed right through the hangar, eyes focused only on one thing. When she finally found her Father and brought him home, she was going to stamp her foot and demand her own ship. ...Okay, no. She was going to smile really big, bat her eyelashes and explain why she needed her own ship. Yes.

Coryth tried in vain to pry herself free from beneath the console again, only to scream out in pain as the jostling of her shoulder, her ribs and her left leg protested very much in response. The heat coming forward from the aft sections of her small ship, was starting to become more and more oppressive by the moment. The smoke itself drifting through was starting to sear into her lungs, forcing her into more and more painful coughing fits.

Keenly aware that time was running out, the tiny redhead could only rest her forehead against the floor where she was pinned and silently prayed for rescue. She only hoped that her emergency transponder was in working order and someone would find her before she was burnt to a crisp.

Glancing over her shoulder, she knew just by the color alone on the door to the cockpit, that the fires had no doubt reached there. And it certainly wasn't helping the situation in the room at present. Of all the ways to die, this has to be my least favorite. No one wants to be barbuqued while still alive, but hell there's even smoke too.... I should make lovely dinner for something somewhere. Probably very morbid of her to think, but it could hardly be helped. She was just one person when even now across the planet she could sense thousands of lives in danger, dying in pain and agony. Coryth was far from the only one, that much she knew. Just had to get pinned under my chair, upside down .....and stuck under the console to boot. With her good arm she reached up to wipe away from her forehead what she thought had been sweat, only to find her hand came back covered with sticky blood. Day just keeps getting better and better.

Finally in a desperate attempt to lower the temperature inside the cockpit, Coryth reached out with all her might in an attempt to get the viewport to finally shatter completely. Relief came when she felt glass shatter and break, a few shards rained down on her as the rest was pushed outside. With some of the smoke gone from the cockpit, the small woman found it suddenly a whole lot easier to breathe. Least I won't die from smoke inhalation. The fire on the other hand, still might roast me alive.

"Hold on Master Elaris, we are getting aid as fast as we can." Anika would relay to the Jedi. Her attention would then drift towards another screen. The question from the interm Vice Admiral.

"We are waiting on reports; but preliminary data suggests that while they were hit hard with the vanishing of the bulk of thier population, the facilities are so far in good condition. "

Now it was a matter keeping it that way.

Uriel

I Shall Know No Fear
There was the sudden hiss of a turbolift at the back of the bridge of the Leviathan; the titanic frame of a Crusader-clad soldier stepping up to the side of the Brother-Captain, bolter and helmet mag-strapped to his thigh plates. Needless to say he cut an imposing figure and, at this point in time, he was curious. The inklings of a conversation trickled up through his ears and he heard all he needed to know.

His presence for Hastings meant one thing - he was very, very eager for some action in battle. The sound of heavy metallic footfalls would herald his arrival, and Hastings would know - there was a rapid transport waiting for the Inquisition to send an advance team if one was necessary.

Uriel was rather hoping to take advantage of this situation and get some action in. It was so much better to have his boots in the dirt than be stuck up couched in a metal space box.

Enroute to Sullust

Time would seem to cease to be while in hyperspace. Though the distance between vandelhelm and Sullust was a short one, Rhen's time was spent contemplating the situation on the Galaxy.

What could have happened? What could have caused this?

It was a great disturbance in the Force if it has affected the entirety of the Galaxy -- much the less the fabric of the force as well. To a degree, the crystal alchemist would suppose that the Galaxy was much now fractured with imperfections, much like In the lattice of a crystal.

Yes, he'd muse, this was a disturbing predicament indeed.

But how would one study those fractures without the Force?

No sign of Owain. Good. She sighed as the ships ramp lowered. Not that she didn't want to travel with him, of course, but he'd probably worry. He was a good boyfriend like that. Protective. It was nice to have someone looking out for her. But at the same time, it would only get in her way when she was trying to be irresponsible and heroic! She shoved her hair away from her face as she sat down in the pilots seat. Okay. Fuel? Check. Raised the ramp? Check. Courage? Well, she was working on that.

"Coryth," Felicity tried to send a message while she carefully guided the ship out of the hangar bay into the black of space, "This is Felicity Mason. I'm on my way."

By myself. Like an idiot.

That was all she needed to say. If her message went through, she could trace her location from the response. Technology was nifty, if you knew how to use it.

[member="Coryth Elaris"]

It was then that [member="Anika Od'Manteiv"] answered her, "Hanging on ... it's all I can do since I can't pull myself out. Injuries ... just too bad, stuck beneath cockpit command console." That was really all she could say in reply. "Thank you." She, at last managed. Just grateful that the planet was getting the help it needed.

Hearing her comlink beep one more time, the redhead moaned in agony as she shifted to tap it against her other hand. Anything just to turn it on again. Finally it clicked, she hear it click on! The voice that rang through upon the other side, Coryth could not have forgotten so soon after just meeting her on Vandelhelm. "Fel-icity." It was getting a little troubling and hard to piece her words together. "Thank the stars ...." The tiny Jedi managed to speak, though heavy coughing, and much groaning followed. "Am ... am trapped ... in my ship." She managed to speak, "Just please be .. safe, and .... hurry. Please, hurry. Fire is burning through ... my ship. Don't know how ..." Another painful agonizing cough. "Much longer I can last." Finally admitted, and really all Coryth could do was hope to the gods above that Felicity would make it in time. "Leaving ... the com open. Won't cut the signal." Spoken quietly as what was left of the ship, groaned, twisted and threatened to tear itself apart on the ground where it lay.

[member="Coryth Elaris"], [member="Sarge Potteiger"], [member="Anika Od'Manteiv"]

With a flash the SQS Artemisia manifested into existence in the orbit of Sullust. The time had come. At long last the Eldorai would take their rightful place in the universe as the superior race. They would welcome Sullust...and tomorrow the Galaxy, into the loving embrace of the Eldorai Matriarchy! Today the Greater Eldorai Empire would rise!

Oh, wait, that's not what'll actually happen, as fun as femnazis going on a conquest spree would be. But unfortunately, Kaida was a a rather sober person and a lot less megalomaniacal than her writer. Kind of boring, when you think about it, dear reader. Anyhow, the large battleship, accompanied by a host of smaller vessels and escort ships drawn from the small Eldorai flotilla, what was left of Firemane's naval assets and what the Protectorate had been able to spare, swept through the fathomless void towards the planet.

Aboard the bridge of the Alcori-Class Star Defender, Kaida wasted no time but started issuing commands. "Assume blockading position and keep space free of hostiles, prevent unauthorised vessels from entering or leaving the planet. Send a communique to the Protectorate stating we are deploying. Launch ground forces. I shall lead the initial strike force to find Elaris, our heavy armour will follow. Forces will land at the outskirts of the capital and the spaceport, then move in. Direct Protectorate troops to land at the shipyard."

No speechifying, orders were transmitted and soon she was aboard a dropship as it roared out of the belly of the Star Defender, soon to be joined by a swarm of dropships and gunships that were running escort as they descended down upon the uninviting looking planet. Even at the best of times Sulllust was a rather inhospitable place. Large bouts of ash and smoke had risen into the sky from the last volcanic eruptions, the city beneath them seemed wreathed in flames, chaos and destruction as the heavily armoured transport ships passed through the atmosphere. The Eldorai forces had some limits in manpower, so they could not launch a full-scale occupation, hence the gradual approach in terms of takeover.

For her part Kaida directed her pilot to follow the last-known location of Coryth, tracing the location of the distress signal she had sent. It was in this moment that suddenly swarms of fighters erupted from the ground, seemingly out of nowhere. They looked primitive, seemed to lack shields and have virtually no armour, but there were so damn many of them. Indeed, it seemed like the sky was covered with hostile fighters.

"Incoming fighters. Legions of them!"

"Stay the course," Kaida ordered stoically, calmly. "Fighter squadrons, give us cover. Kaeshana expects every Eldorai to do her duty." Bursting from the ground the enemy fighters rocketed from the surface of the planet, many aiming for the landing forces, others shooting further through the atmosphere to fall upon the Eldorai battleships. Aboard the Artemisia CIC was desperate to identify them all, but their numbers kept growing as more and more emerged from the harsh surface of the volcanic planet. Battle stations closed, gunners rushed to their batteries, and a hailstorm of fire was opened upon the enemy.

Scores of enemy fighters were pulverised and blown to oblivion by the Adril-fighters that fell upon them like birds of prey, many more by the defence systems of the Artemisia, but it seemed that wherever one fell, there were five more. Moreover, as the Eldorai would soon find out whilst the enemy fighter craft were terribly lacking in armour, they pulled quite a punch. Their primary, and only weapon, was an axial laser that was designed to fire a powerful laser for a few seconds of time. Using their high mobility to their advantage to dancy out of enemy counterfire, the Klaxxi fighters could in many cases keep their beam targeted for the entire duration. One dropship experienced this to its peril as the laser beam mercilessly shore through its shields and then sliced through its armour, likewise above in space a corvette found itself set alight as a swarm came upon it. The fleet's weapons continued tearing into the swarms of fighters. For every one they destroyed, five more seemed to manifest and vie for supremacy with them. However, many were blasted into oblivion before their powerful lasers could do damage, at least in most cases.

As mayhem and chaos raged, Kaida remained calm, placid even. Some Eldorai soldiers and Angelii around were whispering prayers, holding on to icons of the Goddess. the Seraph did not pray, for there was no deity she believed. Well, no deity except the nation of Kaeshana.

"We are coming in for landing, ma'am," the pilot spoke through the intercom and Kaida nodded.

"Fan out and secure perimeter," she said calmly, a look passing between her and every Angelii aboard the dropship. No speeches because they were not needed. The virtue of an Angelii was to get things done and leave all the speechifying to others. The dropship rocked as it came under enemy counterfire, unleashing a laser volley of its own to ward off enemies, then came down in a fast descent, landing near the wreckage of Coryth's ship, but at a far enough distance that it would not be damaged by it blowing up.

Swiftly the Angelii fanned out of the transport ship and set up a perimeter security, heavy bolters, shattercannons and e-webs forming a barricade of ridiculously brutal firepower. Angelii equipped with Taegis shields would form a phalanx if need be, providing cover against projectiles and blades for their battle sisters, whilst their sarzmigars could keep even formidable enemies at bay, using tactics not unlike the hoplites of ancient, long-forgotten times. Given how wonky the Force was, they were under orders not to use their elemental powers unless there was extreme need, for it would be terribly embarrassing if say they conjured up a firestorm and it backfired upon them.

Gouts of smoke were rising from the wreckage of Coryth's ship as Kaida quickly raced towards it, trying to push away the rubble that barred her entrance before simply having one of her battle sisters blow it away with a couple bolter rounds.

"Seraph, contact! Hostiles sighted. Engaging!"

No sooner had these words been spoken than that hordes of Ozzlites and armed Sullustans emerged, having apparently followed the dropship. Volleys of blaster rounds and spears rained down upon the Angelii, to be answered by the roar of bolters and shattercannons. Kaida did not even bother to respond to the attackers when laser bolts slashed at her armour. Cortosis was very energy-resistant and, moreover, she had something more important to do. "Kill them. I'll get out Elaris," she ordered simply. As a hailstorm was unleashed upon the attackers and they were cut down by the dozens in a hail of bolt and shell before Angelii moved it to cut them down with sarixi, with the ground soon being stained with the ichor and innards of the hostile xenos, Kaida rushed through the wreckage.

Fires were spreading throughout the wreck and flames whipped at her body, seeking to burn through it and consume her, but the fully sealed Seraphim Combat Armour resisted the searing flames. From further ahead she could hear Coryth speaking, perhaps into a commlink, she sounded pained and as if she was having trouble speaking. No surprise given the injuries she must have sustained and the fact that all the smoke would make it difficult to breathe.

"Coryth! It's Kaida! I'm coming," she called out, having to shout to make herself heard. With all her might, the Seraph tried to grip the command console and pull it away so that the pinned down short stack of fire could get out, before the flames swept across the whole ship.

"Let's get to Sullust then." There was a slight nod and a few murmurs. It would take many more minutes before they were completely boarded, but once they were there was no waiting for the crew to report to station. Hyperspace didn't ruin anything, so they simply banked their way towards the edge of the system, elongated, and then disappeared. Not long after, the Leviathan shot out of the void and into orbit over Sullust.

Roth sat in the cockpit of his fighter, running diagnostics. in preparation for this next mission. He'd caught some sleep after Duro while other squadrons rotated in while his squadron's was refueled and cleaned up. But now they were out of hyperspace and over Sullust that was under major attack for some reason or other. Legions of starfighters.

That thought brought a grin to his face. True dogfights against superior numbers. Just like the old days again. It'd held if they could get intel on the enemy fighters, but until then, they'd have to wing it. Punintended, of course. He cracked his knuckles and put his helmet back on.

"Aurek squadron, prepare to launch on fleet's command. We have a downed pilot on planet, massive enemy forces between us and them, and a fleet to keep in one piece. Things are going to be chaos. Status reports?"

"Aurek Two, ready for action.
"Aurek Three is go."
"Aurek Four, some minor stabilizer issues that should be cleared up before launch."

"Roger that, Aurek Four. Keep me informed."

The rest of the squadron checked in afterwards. All clear.

Roth tapped his comm, "Aurek squadron is clear for launch."

At the request, Anika would push through the last known coordinates.

"Sending the coordinates now Vice Admiral" she relayed, watching the rest of her holosscteenscas updates kept coming in. This was an important. That's when another report came in.
This time from Eradiu.

tumblr_static_speaking.gif

"Vice Admiral; we are getting reports from Eradiu. Lord of the Fringe ships have been spotted."

Her face paled.

"Along with Reavers -- they are attacking in droves."

The Bando Gora Reavers were back.

"I am also getting the same reports from Bespin." her fingers would dance across the holoscreen.

Sullust

Rhen's ship would be birth from the mottled tunnel of hyperspace within Sullust space. The Corellian Green Jedi would come into realspace at the heels of the Omega Defense Force.

Good, they were not alone.

A toggle was flipped, and while he knew that the ODF would bring aide in droves; he had to help.

Through the comm, he would make himself known. "This is Jedi Knight Rhen Qel-Droma, I am here to provide any help. Where do you need me?"

The Leviathan swam through the void, sharklike in appearance and intent. Where the battle was pitched, it remained a rock of pure calm amid the calamity. "Aurek Squadron (Roth Tillian) you are cleared to launch. You'll be working through Baseplate ([member="Anika Od'Manteiv"].) Happy Hunting." Off to a side, a communications officer relayed to Qel-Droma that he was wanted in helping secure Master [member="Coryth Elaris"].

Hastings was still on the bridge, however, orchestrating a deployment of soldiers from his hangars to get to the surface and retake SoroSuub headquarters. He was on the last dropship out, and he would make sure this world returned to their hands.

Protectorate forces had actually already been in the orbit of Sullust by the time the titantic Leviathan emerged from the void. Or rather, strictly speaking not Protectorate but Eldorai ones, since they had arrived just before and began deploying troops to the surface. Here they were by the orders of Queen-Exarch [member="Anya Venari"]. Quite a career, from exiled Princess and vagabond to PA to Exarch and later Lady Protector [member="Tegaea Alcori"], Queen, to sole Exarch.

Of course, if everything went ill and ended in tears it would be terribly unfortunate for the space elves. Regardless, from aboard the Alcori-class Light Star Defender SQS Artemisia, Lady Tarissa Cadalthor watched impassively as the Eldorai's fleet tore into the swarms of Klaxxi fighters, flashes of intense laser fire streaking through the cold, dark void.

"My Lady, Protectorate forces have arrived," a human aide spoke, passing over a datapad, though Tarissa could already see that the shark-like Leviathan was in play.

"I see. Nice to see them arrive. Hopefully they won't see fit to drop those shipyards on a planet as well," Tarissa responded with an air of bitchy haughtiness. Not a nice woman at the best of times, the whole apocalypse thing had done little to improve her general witchiness. Nonetheless the reinforcements were welcome. For now the fleet's strategy seemed to be paying off when it came to minimising casualties and keeping the seemingly endless swarms of enemy fighters at bay, as many of the strange craft were pulverised before their powerful lasers could be brought to bear. Adril-class starfighters fell upon the enemy fighters like hawkes out for a kill, ruthlessly tearing into them. "Redirect our fighters into the atmosphere, order them to pick off enemy fighters as they launch and keep them away from our landing forces. What is the status of the strike force?"

"Ariane's Fist is about to launch to land near the city. Strike Force Malakim reports that they have reached the crash site of Master Elaris' ship and are evaccing here. Under assault by enemy forces, Sullustans and xenos primitives. Recon has received reports about...large, dangerous spiders on the planet. They match the 'Klaxxi' Lady Kerrigan fought on Gehenna."

Inwardly Tarissa shuddered slightly, for she remembered those spiders well from what Siobhan had told her. As a matter of fact, the woman had always died during that battle. They were vicious, nasty buggers. "Pass this information on to the Protectorate right away." Transmission would be sent to Baseplate, in other words Major Od'Manteiv. "And send our heavy armour down. Instruct the Valora's Eagles Squadron to provide air cover for our forces on the surface. " Soon dropships full of heavily Eldorai infantry and Mag'ladroth walkers would be descending down upon Sullust in order to aid in establishing and securing an initial bridgehead.

Coryth at that point that Kaida was nearing the ship was drifting in and out of consciousness. The voice she heard first, and tried to shift her head enough to see who it was, even if it was a foe wasn't like she could actually do something about it. Not in her condition anyway.

It was then that she caught a glance, granted upside down of an armored Eldorai. Then hearing the words spoke, she relieved a sigh of relief. An action that she quickly regretted as she was sent into a coughing fit of agony as her broken pressed pressed against her lungs. "Thank ... gods." She managed at barely above a whisper. More than a small bit grateful that Kaida of all people had been the one to show first.

Hearing the grind of metal moving, Coryth knew that this might be her only chance to get out alive. Using her good arm, and leg the second she felt the weight lifted she pushed with everything she had in her tiny little body.

In the end all she managed was to get a single foot away from the console but it was enough. With her only usable arm, she undid the seatbelt and collapsed to the floor panting heavily and drenched in sweat. Her left leg, was badly managed, her foot facing backwards when it most assuredly should never have done so. The dislocated shoulder, all in all wasn't half bad. It was really the least of her worries. It was the head injury, the leg, and the broken ribs that really concerned the healer, and perhaps the tiny detail that her body had massively overheated in the wreckage. The short stack of fire, most certainly needed to be someplace far cooler than where she currently was. "Can't .... walk." She said softly, still barely able to speak above a whisper, her only hope was that the Kaida with her Eldorai hearing would be able to hear her. Can't really stand for that matter either.... That just went without saying though.

[member="Coryth Elaris"], [member="Sarge Potteiger"], [member="Anika Od'Manteiv"], [member="Uriel"]

Fortunately for Coryth, Kaida was able to hear her thanks to Eldorai hearing. It was always convenient that elf ears had some practical use beyond being the subject of certain sexual fetishes! And so when Coryth she quickly picked up the short stack of fire, craddling the redhead. She quickly equipped her with a breathing mask, since given all the smoke and fire she would probably have trouble breathing. Not to mention the fact that it stood to reason that her lungs might be in a rough shape.

That done, Kaida quickly raced out, as fast as her legs could carry her, as fires spread throughout the wrecked ship and it was rocked by explosions. As fires came to them she leapt over what had apparently once been a console of some sort. She picked up the pace as she got closer to what had once been the landing ramp, racing and then leapt very far. Behind them the ship went up in a massive fireball as it was blasted to pieces. Such was the blast that though Kaida was fast she was still hit by hit and fell to the ground, with the short stack of fire landing on top of the Eldorai.

No, this is not subtext at all, kiddies. Seriously, Kaida is too frigid for that. Anyhow, an Angelii trooper was quickly rushing towards them and picked Coryth up, who presumably could really use medical attention right about now. "Get her on a dropship and to the Artemisia," Kaida gruffly ordered the minion. "Pass on to the Protectorate forces we have Elaris and she's in urgent need of medical attention." The Seraph got to her feet with a bit of a groan, amidst the roar of bolters and shattercannons that were mowing down Ozzlites and Sullustan renegades by the dozen, whilst those of her battle sisters who were engaging in close quarter combat hewed them down with sarixi and sarzmigars.

All seemed to be going well...then she was assaulted by a sense of...danger, before she suddenly felt something large and powerful smash into her shoulder, sending her spinning and then tossing her towards the wreckage of the ship. Her mind reeled at the pain and her shoulder felt painfully dislocated. See, the cortosis armour was shiny, but, as she felt, the materiel was also rather brittle, even with durasteel mixed in, and could not keep out extreme blunt trauma.

<< I will feast upon >> The voice spoke into her mind and even before the large spider had manifested, she knew what they were. "Klaxxi! They can cloak themselves. Second Squadron, rearward face. Sarzmigars and APE rounds. Piercing works, or strike them in the mouth!" she called out loudly as seemingly Klaxxi manifested from everywhere, having exoskeletons so thick even lightsabre blows could be resisted. The spider who had attacked her charged once more, smashing aside an Angelii who came at the beast with her sarix.

Managing to bring the shaking of her hand under control, Kaida pulled out her bolt pistol and squeezed the trigger, firing. The first APE round missed, the second struck a leg and for a moment halted the beast, the second hit it in the chest and put it down. Thank Firemane for creating miniaturised HEAT shells for what amounted to a hand cannon. The Angelii formed a cordon, defending themselves on both sides against relentless monstrosities. One of their number fell, pierced through the heart by a claw, but the others rallied and with their Sarzmigar they drove it back and eventually overcame it, stabbing and hewing it until it fell. More spiders were kept at bay with searing blasts of flame propelled by strong winds and bolter rounds.

"Maeve, get Elaris out. I'll cover!" Kaida called out as she got to her feet, calling the Angelii holding Coryth to get her to a dropship now. To help, however, Kaida had to get closer and so she put down her pistol and instead drew her sarix. And so she leapt and stabbed down as she landed on the back of one of the beasts that seemed to be charging. Its armour protected it, but she had cut a heavy wound regardless. Leaping down she hewed its legs with her blade before ramming it into one of its eyes.

As the Angelii holding Coryth made a run for it to the dropship that came swooping down, Kaida found herself encumbered as one of the Klaxxi slashed at her legs with such force that whilst her armour protected her, she fell and the Klaxxi pinned her down and in a flash its tendrils had wrapped around her body. Bones snapped as it tried to break her limbs and her flow of oxygen was getting cut off as it tried to strangle her. As it became harder and harder to breathe and the beast pulled her into its massive maw, in desperation she gripped part of its face with her hand. Fingers...began to break, but then the monster was suddenly overtaken with a surge of cold as she exerted her powers. The beast turned...very, very cold, as she froze its blood and its body, soon spasming and screeching as an encasement of ice began covering it as if it had been locked in a freezer, and so it died.

Unfortunately, given how wonky the Force was, Kaida ended up getting frozen as well, seemingly helplessly beating against the ice encasement she unwittingly found herself in. A moment later, the ice wall was blown up by the bolter round of a battle sister, and Kaida emerged free, battered, armour broken in places and bloody, but alive, gripping her blade. Then there shadows passed across the ground, as she sought to rally her battle sisters and Coryth was raced towards a drospship, and the roar of engines. A Firemane transport ship landed, and two Mag'ladroth walkers emerged. Walking automatons, mechanical suits of power armour, they sported heavy bolters and shattercannons. They spied big spiders and hostile xenos and opened fire. Hostiles began dying aplenty as the walkers moved towards covering Coryth's evacuation.

Amnell heard the voice again within her mind, and spun on her heels to face the demon creature. Her heart nearly stopped in her chest, realizing there was little she could do. At that moment both Caerys and the security droid pounced on the creature.

Nine reached with one of his tools and pushed Amnell aside. "Out of the way!" Was the whistled and panicked beeping as Nine made sure she stayed out of the way.

Her eyes locked with Caerys, and her gaze then drifted as the droid offered the packet of tablets to her. Without a word she grabbed them, and quickly swallowed them. "Happily, just lead the way." Panting a little from the fright of the situation. She could only watch as Caerys took care of the Sullustan, and instantly with the other bots behind her, she followed behind the HRD.

In the next moment, a comm would open up to [member="Tarissa Cadalthor"]. "This is Major Anika Od'Manteiv of the Omega Defense Force, thank you for coming to the aide of Sullust.

What are these Klaxxi in the report?"

Sullust

Rhen' comm would light up; a crackling voice would welcome and thank him for his offer of aid. Subsequently, coordinates would be transfered to him. It appeared that Jedi Master [member="Coryth Elaris"] was currently in grave danger. He was tasked to go straight to her right away.

"Of course; I am enroute now." He relayed back, tapping in the coordinates where the vessel that the Jedi Master would be at.

Under his breath, Rhen would ask that the Force be with the Jedi Master.

He was on his way.
