Right Droid for the Job

She had gone through the resumes and the various holo presentations and come to the conclusion that no man or woman would be able to fit what she desired in a Chief Operating Officer. Well, she had to take that thought back – There were a select few but they had become unavailable by the time she had gone through all the screening processes. By the time she had completed everything, she had come to a droid, one she had met once or twice before.

He would fit the bill in regards to her desires to find someone who could help her get things moving again for Incom Corporation. Things as of late had been stagnate across the board and government contracts needed revising and some had come up on renewal and with everything that had occurred on Alderaan, she had become drained. She had to admit to herself that she needed a hand, she even desired it. It was another difficult pill to swallow.

Admitting that she was only one person and Incom Corporation wasn’t a one person job.

The invitation had gone out to the droid, and she even sent a ship along with it, should he choose to take it. It would bring him to Corellia, to a heavily fortified location known as Raven’s Crest which was also the Research and Development Center for Incom Corporation. From there, he would be screen and then screened again and even during his long journey upwards through the tower…he would be screened some more.

He would be led to a grand hallway, filled with various holographs on the walls and a gold and red-rug that led directly to a par of massive Corellian Oak doors. It would be sort’ve obvious as to what was on the other side. Nonetheless, when the doors opened, he would be greeted by an assistant droid and in the center of the room a darkened table would span nearly half the length of the room and on the other side - Alyesa Praxon-Organa would be staring out the transparisteel windows into the distant horizon.

And so the summon for him was received and heard, and it would not be unanswered as the droid took the ship offered to him to arrive on the meeting. Through the screenings his usual armaments would be left on the ship, hopefully returned to him at the end of the interview, and his armor stripped from him, for unfortunately, it was usually loaded with weaponry of its own like the wrist-mounted flamethrower he had in his forearm piece.

So he would enter Alyesa's office in the Raven's Crest like that, stripped from his armor, only his grey cloak covering the thin almost skeletal metal body and cascading over his shoulders, wrapping around like bat's wings.

The oaken door would creek and the machine would give a nod to her assistant droid, metal feet clanking on the floor as he stepped towards the dark table before quipping,

"I heard you have an opening in your company."

The machine would tap his metal finger on the table, as his arm slink out his cloak would spread to reveal the silver-grey metal his body was made from, Alyesa may question any need for additional armor the machine would have, as he came closer around the furniture she would most likely recognize what kind of metal he was made from, a whole load of phrik.

Probably that's why Siobhan called him "That Old Phrik"

Alyesa would chuckle softly and motion to a seat close to her. "Indeed, Incom Corporation has been a bit stagnant as of late and it needs a bit of a punch to get renewed." She motioned to some datapads on the table. "From what I understand and can see by recommendations and individuals who might have some knowledge of what or whom you are - You come highly recommended." She said with a slight smile. She had touched base with a few select individuals, mostly in private of course, regarding the droid to which she was about to ask to take over a high level position within her company.

He had the right qualifications, it was a matter of just finding what he desired and needed...if anything. Alyesa walked to the seat before her and quietly sat down, a hand reached out and grabbed the datapad to her right as she did so. On it, was various requirements, obligations and things of some significance to anyone of a "C" Position within any company. In addition, would be a contract with a sum of his duties, expenses that would be paid and his salary outright. Within the contract would be various clauses and agreements to protect both [member="HK-36"] and Incom Corporation from sabotage of different kinds.

A human would take a few hours to read such material - [member="HK-36"] on the other hand would take far, far, less time to go over all the fine details. She skimmed over the top bits briefly and looked up at the droid before reaching out with the datapad to him. "This contains everything you need to know about the job offer and it's duties." She allowed him to grab the datapad from her before both hands came to rest in her lap. "I, will not be fading into the background, merely just taking a step back." She shrugged lightly. "I need to gather my thoughts and focus, the business with Alderaan is rather distracting." She motioned towards the HoloNews feed at the monitor in the center of the table. "My resignation has not been accepted nor negotiated on...so my life is a bit on hold in that field." Again, another shrug.

The droid nodded, taking a seat himself as he took the datapad and read over it, just scrolling with a swipe of his finger through the text as he took the data in with his photoreceptors,

"You have my condolences about the current state of affairs on Alderaan, I joined the military expeditions to it from Republic in attempt to pull it out of Sith and Vong grip, so far you know how that went."

Then he would look up to Alyesa, going straight to business,

"Right away I can secure you position in two markets, on Abregado-Rae the planet I overlook, and with Firemane, who have holdings on Kaeshana and over their colonies. In return I ask for discounts, I say discounts because we will still pay, you will turn a profit on it, do not worry. Abregado is a trading hub, and needs to expand with a few space stations, at least one commercial trade station, and a shipyard ring. If you would be willing to have Incom aid in producing both projects, then in both you will have holdings as well."

He nodded, breaking up the paragraph a bit,

"Firemane at the other hand is always doing something, expansion and activity is their game, and they are very good at it. Their CEO's are conquerors and soldiers, both friends of mine, and both treat business like a military game, they also seek to expand their ship building capabilities. I believe they are currently working with Silk Holdings but should you offer better price, and with a bit of my sway, that market will be yours as well, and with their expansions there will be a constant demand for ships and their maintenance, provide that to them, and it will be a very good business for you."

He would set the datapad down,

"Other than that I will see what opportunities come, but I will tell you that, Abregado makes excellent weapons, armor, droids, Firemane makes great vehicles and other tools of war they forged or captured in fight against Sith, but neither of us are experts at shipwright. If Incom would be willing to provide that under my guidance, there will be prosperity, as well as discounts for you should you choose to equip your security forces with gear manufactured by Firemane and Abregado."

The droid would lean back in his chair,

"I also want control over a part of your security forces as my escorts and guards. That would be all I would ask for, and should you accept, I believe I have some stealth ship blueprints laying around my office on Abregado, we can start off with that as some new products for Incom."

Alyesa brought her hand to her chin and nodded. "I see no reason that we can't work that out." She said in regards to Firemane. They were a reputable company and a bridge could be formed between Incom and Firemane that would no doubt create a technological powerhouse. In regards to Abregado, again, another business venture that was solid. "Again, I don't see any issue with either venture. However, any changes that directly effect the flow of Incom Corporation need Board of Director approval and then of course my signature." She gestured towards @HK-36. "Should you choose to offer anyone a percentage of the company." She smiled softly. "You know, new shareholders and such."

The reference was directly referenced to Firemane more so than just some random spacer off the lanes. "Other than that, I see no reason as to why we don't have a deal, do you?"

"Board of Directors?"

The droid asked tilting his head before realizing what it was,

"Oh, right, Board of Directors."

He nodded slightly,

"I apologize, sometimes I forget that not every company is a dictatorial regime with a cult of personality build around me."

The droid would fold his arms, looking aside slightly,

"Quite disappointing sometimes, actually."

Kim Jong HK

"Either way."

He would continue drawling on as he extended his hand to her in a shake,

"I believe we do have a deal."
