As one of the inspirations for making my main character here, to hear of his loss is extremely heartbreaking indeed. RIP Christopher Lee, I will miss you terribly. :(

He served in the Royal Air Force during World War II.

He was knighted by the Queen of England.

He's played a Bond villain, Count Dracula, Saruman in the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit trilogies, and of course Count Dooku in the Star Wars prequels.

He loved heavy metal and sang opera.

This man lived to be 93 years old. There is justice in the world, after all. :)

Charlemagne, Not Christopher Lee. He was a simple (and powerful) limb. As a lead vocalist myself: keep in mind the name of the band exceeds his own. He was so humble: hence why few of you ever heard of Charlemagne. The man was much more than an actor.

I feel no sadness. No tears. Only loss. It was his time though. He lived a life so full few others could claim. I mean he's been an actor since 1946. How many people have been acting for 69 years! And through so many different roles, genres, and formats. He had true talent.

Rest in peace Sir. You deserve no less.

Man..I didn't even know, I was having such a great day going too...but then THIS happens...I just wanna go back to my room curl up and cry because he played so many roles that I enjoyed and loved, Saruman, Count Duku (or Doku)... Rest in Spaghetti, Never Forghetti..

Was so shocked to hear he died last night... Since I was void of media for a while.

At this point in my life, I may be a bigger Star Wars fan than Lord of the Rings fan, but he'll always be Saruman before Count Dooku to me, haha.

Peace begins with a smile.
The passing of Sir Christopher Lee is a loss to the entire Galaxy. The respect that man deserved, and deserves still after death, is immense and only comparable to his awe-inspiring voice. Rest in peace, because you would make one hell of a zombie Sir.

Honestly, I saw this thread a while ago and didn't post because, well, Christopher Lee was an idol of mine and his death's pretty emotional for me.

He was honestly one of the coolest actors out there and I saw almost everything he was in. He approached all his roles with a level of dedication virtually unknown nowadays. With every villain role he did, he engraved a bit of humanity into his performance, and whenever I do a villain in a RP, I always try to emulate him in someway.

Did you know that he was the only actor in LOTR to actually have met J.R.R. Tolkien? He was so overwhelmed that at one point he knelt to Tolkien. During LOTR's filming, the cast would approach him for help doing their characters as he knew the books better then anyone on set. He'd listen, and give his own personal take on the characters. That just shows what a man he was even when the camera was off. Many will miss him, but I think he'd feel good knowing that so many people do.

Goodbye Dooku, Saruman, Dracula, the Frankenstein Monster, Francisco Scaramanga, Sherlock, Mycroft, Fu Manchu, Death, and most of all,

Goodbye Christopher Lee.
