Red is a red dwarf star, low background radiation, we'd get good scans of plenty of systems ahead. There's an
Ebruchi supply station in an asteroid belt. Red is a lot farther into the Maze than we are right now, and that supply station would be a pretty good fallback point for repairs and reliable shelter.

Green is a forest world, unknown what species have a presence there, but there are definite signs of hyperspace traffic in the area. Downside is we have no idea who or what we'd run into and neither do the locals. Upside is they might have nav data for deeper into the Maze.
