EMPIRE REBORN
UNKNOWN REGIONS

Tp9eI99.png
The Dark Empire was dead. Despite having been established with a strong momentum under the leadership of Darth Solipsis, successfully seizing control of portion of the Deep Core and firmly establishing itself in the New Territories, the Dark Empire had fallen apart dismantled due to stagnation, rebellions and external pressure. Nevertheless with the simultaneous collapse of the Empire of the Lost alongside the Dark Empire, an opportunity had been created, one that would open the road for a proper Imperial resurgence through the establishment of a singular new unified Imperial Faction. A new Empire, reborn from the ashes of the old and ready to succeed where all their predecessors failed. An Empire in which Sularen intended to take the helm and guide it to victory in this new era, firmly establishing himself as the "Heir to the Empire"

Having already assembled a considerable military force from the remains of the Dark Empire, Sularen moved forth to begin the first major phase of his bid for Imperial leadership by gathering what support he could and utilize it to establish a strong powerbase in the galaxy. To this end, he first sent calls to two of his most trusted associates, Allegiant-General Domaric Mordane, his former Second-in-Command within the Dark Empire's Military Structure and Moff Antipater, a trusted ally and advisor with a rational and logical mindset. By gathering them here onboard his Flagship, the INV Sularen's Revenge, the Warlord of the Empire aimed to share his long-term plans for the future and vision for a Reborn Empire with the two Imperials and begin the first steps towards executing said plans.

Now, all that remained was for both the Allegiant-General and the Moff of Jaemus to make their appearance as the Warlord of the Empire patiently awaited them within a conference room onboard his flagship. Today the first steps on the road to an Imperial resurgence would be made and before long, the galaxy would once more tremble before the might of a revitalized Empire.

Machines Making Machines

Many mechanical bodies could be controlled by a central command signal all at once. The technology was trivial in principle, but the exact encrypted hyperspace transmission mechanisms Antipater employed were far more arcane. Suffice to say that unlike large swathes of the galaxy, Antipater could be in multiple places simultaneously. He was here on Sularen's Revenge, just as he was on Jaemus, just as he was on Mygeeto, just as he was on Tython.

This particular vessel was identical to the others: rank-plate insignia, meticulously ironed uniform. It stood perfectly still until the doors to the meeting room were fully open.

"Lord-Regent..." Antipater greeted Marlon with his usual lifeless tone. "...Or I believe it is now Lord-Executor."

He crossed the threshold and sought his usual seat.

"It is, as always, my honor to be party to your endeavors."

"Lord Regent, Lord-Executor, it honestly doesn't matter. They're just empty hollow titles who only have value thanks to my contributions to the Empire." Sularen answered. It was nice to see Antipater once more, an individual of pure logic and rationality. It was quite ironic now that he thought of it. Sularen often viewed droids as mere tools to use to accomplish his goals and yet he found himself meeting on equal footing with one, whose advice had served the Empire well. Then again, Moff Antipater was no mere regular droid.

"And it's an honor to have you at my side once more." Sularen responded. "Do tell how are things going on Jaemus. It appears that the integration into the Diarchy appears to be moving smoothly and the influx of Imperials to Jaemus seems to have further strengthened your position there." Sularen inquired. As they waited for Allegiant-General Mordane's arrival, Sularen figured that it would be nice to engage in simple small-talk, see what his fellow associate had been up to lately. After all, they were here to forge the future of the Empire and it was not like a little bit of transparacy could harm their partnership anyways.

There was something poetic about witnessing the death of an Empire.

From the bridge of the INV Imperius, Allegiant-General Domaric Mordane observed the swirling maelstrom of the unstable wormhole before him. The Deep Core's treacherous depths had become his hunting grounds, reclaiming defunct Imperial assets and orchestrating precise strikes against the encroaching Galactic Alliance forces. Each maneuver was a calculated effort to stem the tide of their advance, a testament to the resilience of the true Empire.

The holographic projector flickered to life, casting his imposing figure into the meeting chamber where Lord Regent Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen and Moff Antipater Antipater convened. His visage, though rendered in blue light, carried the weight of his presence.

"Gentlemen," Mordane began, his voice steady and authoritative, "while titles may be deemed hollow by some, it is the substance of our actions that defines their worth. Lord Regent Sularen, your contributions have indeed fortified the Empire's foundation. Weak as it may be, it survives because of your unwavering dedication. I will address you as Lord Regent because that is what you are."

He paused, allowing his words to resonate.

"The integration of Jaemus into the Diarchy has proceeded with commendable efficiency," Mordane continued, acknowledging Antipater's jurisdiction. "The influx of Imperial loyalists has not only bolstered our industrial capabilities but has also reinforced our ideological unity. Such consolidation is imperative as we confront the multifaceted threats arrayed against us."

Turning his attention to Sularen, Mordane's holographic gaze was unwavering. "The Galactic Alliance's reclamation efforts are relentless. Their push into territories we were compelled to cede has posed a challenge to my own efforts to extract our assets. However, through coordinated surgical strikes and the strategic redeployment of assets, we have managed to disrupt their momentum and keep them distracted from our operations. The recovery of our resources from the Deep Core continues and we are making steady progress."

He leaned slightly forward, the holographic image mirroring his movement.

"Yet, these actions, while effective, are but temporary salves."

Mordane's tone hardened, underscoring the gravity of the situation.

"The Core Wars have ignited a conflagration that threatens to consume us. It is imperative that we harness this crucible to forge an Empire more resilient and formidable than ever before. Our enemies are emboldened; we must respond with decisive and unified strength."

He concluded, his image standing resolute.

"Lord Regent, I'll be blunt. I've been considering the options that we have before us and I've concluded that the only way forward is to unify all the Imperials in the galaxy. There cannot be a new Empire. There must only be one Empire. One unified Empire."
