[member="Yuroic Xeraic"] would be joke was not partially funny to Tana, probably due to the fact he 100% believed the Jedi master, and was more then ready to take on the challenge. Perhaps it was partially due to how his mother raised him as such training methods where not beyond the woman's thinking, something about 'this is how I learned to do (insert task) therefore that is how you will'.

Fortunately the man had just been joking, earning a slight chuckle from himself, along with a small sigh, looked like he would not die today. "Building a shelter I can do somewhat, fire, with the right tools flint and steel, though wounds... emmm let say that is not really an issue with me, but learning take care of one could be useful for someone else". Though in that position Tana would probably just bite them and give the injured person energy... though being a vampire was supposed to be a secret, so this would be a help.

"Though the whole drinking water thing would be a big help, what methods have you got in mind for that"? It was the one part of the lesson that Tana was honesty not sure about, even with the use of the force such a thing seemed like a challenge, which was something considering his love of cryokenisis.

Earlier...

It was by all account seem somewhat try for Ronin to ever begin to see himself be around anyone. Given not only the current state he believes himself to be in and due to the fact. The recent turn of event that he'd encountered add to seem shift in the way his 'Treatment" had been progressing. That for the time being one the healer he'd been work with suggested that perhaps take up a hobby or a class or two would help. To maybe calm his nerves and aid in his reintegration into the order as it were to which think nothing of it at first.

He soon found himself walking pass one the class bulletin board where an add for some archery class caught his fancy. As for one he figured without reading much into as he should that perhaps a bit of fresh air coupled with learning a skill not so much reliant on the force. Thought at the same time could prove useful when and if he found himself in some tight situation. So with nothing more than take note of the location and the type class that was head too that off he went.

Present...

It was then thought despite some hesitation it may appear he had arrived a tad later than expected. To which end stay on the sideline for a bit as scout the place out. Not so much if anything else but perhaps some old habits he had yet been so hard press to wean himself out of. As for much if anything seems old habits were so hard to break was in itself he thought oh so true. That it was then looking ahead he could help note recognize two of the three individuals present as someone he knew all too well. And though not intentionally but seem by chance had avoided having had crossed path with for quite some time. That at first he could help be hesitant but then again after some careful thought he figured why not? That maybe being some familar face would help dispell his sort uneayness round other for a change.

At any rate seem no sooner had they slowly walked off to perhaps the second phase of the lesson. As it were the case that he'd arrived a tad bit late miss the start of the lesson.

Yuroic noticed that both seemed believe themselves capable of surviving without the Force. Yuroic was ready to push that belief to the limit. Noticing that Jairdain went straight for using her Lightsabers, he moved over and confiscated the weapon. "No Force, no Lightsabers. This is a technique best to learn using your mind and hands. Today is about surviving without technology, building shelter from sticks and other items, as well as coping with random weather conditions that might occur." He placed the Lightsaber to one side.

Looking over to Tanaski, Yuroic smiled. "That is best learned by knowing where to find fresh water. If you are unable to do that then you need to be able to filter the water or boil it." Yuroic instructed. "Boiling it is best in a non-tech situation, boil the dirty water, condense the steam and let that fill your flask. The boiling with kill any germs and bacteria, removes the mud and sand. Yield isn't high but it is safe to drink."

Ronin had joined them, late but still in time. "Hey Ronin! Come join us, we got some survival training to do and if you want I can go over the archery afterwards." Yuroic offered a warm smile as he gestured the man to join them.

It was then while Yuric seems been engage conversing with the two other present including the familiar face of another in form of Jairdain. For whom he had some history with but due to the complexity of his life as it were. He'd been at a loss as for how to proceed with let alone the uncertainty linger of which he left to let these thoughts pass.

As he then slowly close the gap between them that he could in passing catch overhear the latter end of Yuroic conversation with the two present.

"Hey Ronin! Come to join us, we got some survival training to do and if you want I can go over the archery afterward."

That he turns to face him and spoke with a warm smile that soon followed by a gesture from him join them to which he nodded. Come close as he did that he reciprocated the warm welcome with a reply.

"Greetings and well were hoped to thought I hope am not too late? ..... Yuric...."

He pauses to then face acknowledge the others present.


"....Jairdain..."

To which he then pause unsure how to proceed to greet the other so instead he respectfully gesture a nod to her.

"I can build just fine, Yuroic."

She did get the point though and held her hand out for her saber to be returned. If he kept it, then that would be the third one she had lost for one reason or another. However the saber he held in his hand was her original. It had originally been lost on Voss when she had destroyed something in the presence of Yuroic.

Suddenly she felt guilty. He had been there for her when her life was just trash, but she was unable to return the favor to him. Their relationship had ended and her work kept her on Commenor for much of the time. Jairdain was unable to help him in the way he needed.

Hearing the steps of Ronin, Jairdain turned in his direction with a clear smile. Yuroic welcomed him and she motioned for him to join her.

Listening to the answer Yuroic provided Tanaski, it was something Jairdain was already aware of. This was not the first time she needed to survive in the wilds, but it was to do it without the Force.

"Hey brother."

She had no questions to ask Yuroic at this time.

A small giggle escaped his mouth and Jari getting her saber taken away, though to be honest a saber was not really that good of a survival tool besides a flash light. It more incinerated then burn, could not really be used for cooking and was not the safest thing to have waving around for something not combat related.

The method of getting clean water was more complicated then he originally though, the among of times one had to boil the water along with draining it several time, sure was a lot. It was a lot to take in all at once but her was certain to get it down enough to practice when back at the temple. Before he could pose a question on the whole thing a semi-new face approached the group, [member="Ronin Wendigo"], a name that Tana knew more though rumors and other instances then actual meetings.

He gave the man a small wave, sensing the tension in the air between the members, [member="Jairdain"] saying brother seeming to make him interested in the whole deal. So it was brother sister, former lover and best friends? This little training session was now getting complicated more then he anticipated, guess that was just something grown ups had to deal with... awkward.

Yuroic heard Jairdain's statement, he shook his head. "Well, either you think you can or you can. Until you prove you can build a fire without tech, I'm going to lean to the former." His voice sounded harsh, but it was necessary to sound harsh. Surviving in dangerous environments was difficult, he couldn't go easy on them. Flicking a switch on a remote he had, causing water to rain on Jairdain, Ronin and Tanaski.

"Now, building a fire on a warm day with dry wood and no wind. Ideal conditions, however, ideal isn't always possible. So try building it in the pouring rain, there might even be some high winds as well. This is training that will push your knowledge." He in fact turned on two turbines so that a powerful wind blew on them. "Now, lets try building a fire again shall we?" He shouted as he watched the three of them.

It was as if anything seeming if nothing less an interesting turn of events as he turns to note her call out.

"Hey, brother."

To which turn to acknowledge her Ronin couldn't quite help note the slight look on the other face. One whom despite not one he'd know personal or met he came presume. Would be perhaps one the few new initiates that seem arrive or pass thru the Silver door. Either to join or simply partake of either the exchange programs or seminars offered.

At any rate, it seems before long most if not all conversation seems to cease. And instead turn back the matter at hand which was if nothing else. Was the task of not only learning but a sort drill for those in attendance. In the training not only survive but pick up the skill that one could perhaps use when the time came.

By that token after a brief interaction between Jairdain and Yuroic that it began....with Yuroic in the capacity of trainer for the day flick a switch or two. In essence, activating some sort rain and wind device that in a sense simulated one if many harsh conditions one could face. Out there where one could be at the mercy or whim of the elements. Something which he knew all too well...from times before returning.

At which time pick up on Yuroic cue he then proceeds to make good take note of his surrounding. Where spot a few fallen foliage and branch he then began work to fashion a shelter. From where he could least keep some the elements off and provide him a decent spot create some kindling for the fire.

If looks alone could have hurt somebody, the one Jairdain gave to Yuroic would have done just that. He still had her saber and then spoke harshly to her, but she didn't do anything other than that look. Crossing her arms across her chest, she stood there being stubborn and getting soaked in the process when he turned the water on.

He knew well enough she was able to live in the wilds just fine. That look only lasted a few moments before she sighed and started working on this in her own way.

It might be surprising to all of them that the blind woman was able to accomplish setting up a shelter as well as traps for animals. Of all those here, Yuroic would be aware as she did this before with him around. It had nothing at all with using the Force. This was something she had even done as a padawan before they even met.

She did this work silently, in the darkness that belonged only to her. Moving with a sense of confidence some sighted people didn't even have, her own camp was set up in short order.

Tana was not really sure about the whole family and past relationship between those present, but it was of no matter, the boys focus on the lesson at hand. "Xeraic-sama, will we be going through the different styles of making an open flame"? "You know, flint and steel, the stick in the wood and twisting it, that sort of thing, oh but also one more idea". "You mentioned down pour and rain, would it be possible in a thunder storm to use a steal rod or metallic object to lure a lighting strike to set something on fire"?

The only other option would to find shelter from the wind, kept dry and use the other methods, but even that seemed difficult. Though Youric probably had some sort of trick up his sleeve to bypass those issues.
