As for the alliance between the two factions...then perhaps the parents think (or hope) it is the "to a certain extent" that will allow them to escape. Sabrina, perhaps they will meet during the heist? Sabrina should be able to detect his force sensitivity. Especially since he doesn't really know much of anything on his ability, nor how to mask it. He has the potential to be rather powerful. (Though very far down the road, and only with training of course) I'm actually making him the ancestor of another Jedi Master character I had created for an earlier timeline.
