Reverant was my favourite during the days of the One Sith. I enjoyed their style.

Lysle of the Hydian Way was my own favourite character. Same reason, I enjoyed the style.

I don't have one special archetype of character, I test the waters for everything. Though I always seem to return to criminal characters.

Anything outlandishly special, any character screaming for attention.

I work as a laboratory technician / quality tester. I work in a physical testing laboratory but I also work at a nearby port to collect samples from cargo ships for the same job.

Consistent story and character development makes a good RP'er.

I can't say I have a IC role in the galaxy as I move from character to character enjoying all that this site has to offer for characters of all types. Though more than anything I've provided anarchy to this site with my various criminal characters.

I try and provide unique storylines and challenges that aren't commonly affiliated to the basic idea of Star Wars (Jedi vs Sith). Most of this has been achieved through my criminal characters and delving into the mysteries of the underworld. Currently I am looking at exploring different avenues.

I think I got really hooked with my very first character on this site, Hasjo Hallu, during the One Sith invasion of Coruscant. I think the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order had just revealed herself as the Dark Lord of the Sith? If memory serves. The Jedi Temple was suddenly besieged and the greatest defenders became embattled on the stairs of the temple. Hasjo Hallu had run out onto the stairs to join them, although it was an already lost battle. Hasjo had been dedicated to becoming an Exotic Weapons Master for the Jedi Order and using those skills and foreign weapons he carved a path through the Sith and their forces before being sniped by another player. I took the shot because I'm a good sport about being injured and often killed. I try not to magically outmaneuver my opponents. If I see a fair advantage from an enemy, I'll let them abuse it to their victory. In this case Hasjo was near fatally wounded. The only reason he didn't die is because my opponent felt bad that I had taken the hit in the first post he made. So to make him feel less guilty I let Hasjo live on for awhile longer. Hasjo would go on to join the Silver Jedi during their founding and became a Jedi Master as well as a council member before dying by assassination.

Disney's Princess
Sure. Why not. :p
  • This month it's probably that Kaine Mando guy. Because there are not enough explosions in his signature.
  • Obviously that one blue-haired chick. Because sassy.
  • Disney Jedi. Because actually trying to be a good person with magical power is the hardest thing you'll ever do.
  • Lucas Sith. Because silly.
  • 9 years.
  • Camera Installation Guy

  • 1. Sense of humor. 2. Chill zero-stress level. 3. Joyful personality.
  • Bottling the lightning
  • Celebrating good times

  • I joined my first Star Wars RP because of a Character Profile hosted on a StarWars Wiki that I had just stumbled upon recently. This gal had done such a stunning job of realizing her character, her bio, and her Star Wars passions, that I actually felt a real desire to read, engross, and to experience her stories for myself. So much so, that I instantly joined her affiliated website, made a Jedi, and begin adventuring with her character as soon as possible. There, many long years ago, I learned as poor kid in university that I could do something that I had never even thought possible. I could write Star Wars. Forever.

Who is your fav character on the site? Why I really don't have much of a favorite. There are several I do love, but no particular favorites.
What is your favortie Character that you write. Why? I've always loved Carona Totsari and Andrea Kryze, but never got anywhere with them. I think Carona is the most unique character I've played here for her weaknesses. Right now, I'm just using Kerri. Trying to come up with a unique weakness for Kerri, none have come up in my mind yet.
What is your favorite Character Archetype, and Why? I'm a sucker for grey characters (like Ahsoka and Bendu in the SW canon). I've also been loving Mandalorians more and more!
What is your most hated Archetype. Why? The perfect superpowered guy whose only weakness is along the lines of "has anger issues."
How long have you been RPing? Overall? About six years. Here? I've been jumping on and off for about four.
Whats your day job? I'm paranoid for any sort of safety on the internet. Sorry, that's classified. Paranoia!

What do you think makes a good RPer. Someone who's more focused on character development than fancy new toys and epic force powers. And I know this is Star Wars, but the Historical European Martial Arts fan in me cries for at least a little realism. I think I saw a guy using Vapaad with six lightsabers before.... Yeah, more focus on just making a good character is always good.
What do you see your role as IC in the galaxy. A... some sort of engineer? The future is clouded by the dark side?
Same as above, but OOC. Er... *Shrugs* Dunno. The future is clouded...

Tell a brief story about the pivotal point where you got hooked on a character, or were turned off completely and abandoned them. I've abandoned pretty much 98% of my characters ever made.

I got hooked onto Carona around the first time writing her. It's hard to focus with each and every revamp/reboot attempt, but I've always loved writing a character with a unique, serious physical disability (which I partially based off the real world pituitary thyroid disorders) and having it affect her path as a Jedi.

  • Who is your fav character on the site?
I've always enjoyed reading threads with Lady Kay, and most of the characters who are written by Mepherium. New favorite is Kaine who I have had the pleasure to write with.

[*]What is your favortie Character that you write. Why?
  • Jaster has always been by go to, but my favorite to write was Jagger Fuga. He had a short story, but his build up and sacrifice at the Battle of Atrisia really hurt so I enjoyed the whole experience.

[*]What is your favorite Character Archetype, and Why?
  • I love, love, love the corruption of the Ideals of the Good. A character who is a good, and does good deeds, but one bad act for the betterment of the people has him turning into a person who always does bad things in the name of good intentions. Throughout the writing though he is seen as a bad guy until the very end.
  • I.E. Thrawn Series.

[*]What is your most hated Archetype. Why?
  • Got to say, the Brute Support is not only my most hated, its also the one I cant write long for. I am not much of a combat writer, but being someones body guard is just hard for me. I also see these writers as those who just refuse to loose and break logic to win. :p

[*]How long have you been RPing?
  • .... (Counts Fingers).... (Counts Toes)... 14 years, in private and public settings, and about 4-5 years here? God I need to make real life friends.....

[*]Whats your day job?
  • Amazon Dispatcher in SoCal, work 50 hours a week and that's why I don't post as much as I want to!!!!!!

  • What do you think makes a good RPer.
Leaving behind personal pride and willingness to venture into the unknown as your character, not as yourself. My favorite character I wrote only had about 700 post and died in the worst way, and instead of being sour I made another character and every now and then mention his courage. Character development is fun, trying to win every time is not really fun and it gets boring.

[*]What do you see your role as IC in the galaxy.
  • The man who can provide nearly anything and can pop up when you least expect it.

[*]Same as above, but OOC.
  • The Ghost who wonders the Forum looking for people to Thread with him and go on boring missions.

Jada Raxis

-Take me out, to the Black-
  • Who is your fav character on the site? Why
Tough. Gotta go with [member="Jorus Merrill"] though. Ashin Varanin a close second and a defiite shout out to [member="Coren Starchaser"]. I love the Warden of the Sky niche with the Instinctive Astrogation and it has inspired many characters. I wrote RC 212 with Ashin for a while at Lords of the Fringe, back when he had just gotten over being the most hated character and was getting good char dev in.

Love the style of all these Chars. Raw and real, but short and sweet. No huge monolgues and they feel real with real motives.

  • What is your favorite Character that you write. Why?
Toss up between [member="Karren Trask"] and Jada. Karren is a real character with motivations that have been shaped by her journey. She's a planned character, but somewhat of an independent nich following the Archetype of a Jedi that was pure being drug into Darkness by the battles she fights to save and help folks. In the end it will cost her to do the right thing, possibly her soul. Which I like because I can pour some of my own experiences into that and put motives in there that feel real and fit like a glove.

Jada because she is the second ever Character I've written to be specifically a Warden of the Sky. Vassara Raxis was my first (Now Darth Raxis.) Jack Raxis faded into obscurity after the whole betraying Ra Vizsla thing and I felt bullied almost by the IC stigma enough to retire him for good. Killed em off twice.

Or did I?
  • What is your favorite Character Archetype, and Why?

The nitty gritty Spacer. Just so many directions they can go and they have massive conflict in their arc. Least of which the will to survive and keep flying. I like that, it speaks to me on a deep level. I'm a pretty independent self sufficient person IRL so I put that into these Spacer Chars and it fits better than other Archetypes. Plus if you're not tied down to a faction grinding through Doms and Invasions you can feasibly jump into any thread and meet new writers. Which is what Jada is doing, along with her Plot arc on the side.
  • What is your most hated Archetype. Why?
The Super badass Edgy Sith lord of doom. The OP Soldier of Fortune who can dodge every hit (Guilty as RC 212. I Confess). The Sith whose all powerful and can just nerf you with a wave of of his hand and summon spiders to suck your soul out in a single paragraph. The Strict Jedi Master that takes IC actions OOC because they can't seperate themselves from thier dogmatic char. A lot.
  • How long have you been RPing?
Since I was 13. Im 26 now so 13 yrs online RP. All Starwars. I started at That Guys Craftshop and was just Uber horrible. Then got banned a few times, came back and was invited over here by a friend that had made the switch right around 2013. Been here on and off ever since. Try to stay away but the place just sucks you right in.

  • Whats your day job?
US Army Paratrooper. Culinary Specialist. Basically I cook stuff and jump from planes or helicopters or whatever.

  • What do you think makes a good RPer.
Ability to not be a total douche about everything. To take whats written, accept it and roll with the story. Let people stir the pot without an uproar. The site gets stale. We need huge upsets to frenzy us up once in a while, get us writing new stories and harder than ever before.

There are some writers I've encountered who are so fixated on their factions lore and power or they made this and that for clans or lore that no one else can alter it, play with it or take it over in any form. Whats worse they'll leave it alone, like an abandoned bicycle in a parking lot and then pop out of the woodwork to tell you a simple "No. Mine."

This is RP and Collaborative. IF you want to shape how your toys or stuff thats abandoned gets used, RP with it more often and hold onto it. Furthermore don't be a child. Its a freakin game, so chill and just let the other guys have a turn.

Hell nowadays I let people thrash my chars just to make it fun for them. Who wan't to be the shining hero who saves the day and is all powerful all the time anyways? Folks who are gonna be real lonely when their writing partners go play with more fair minded and collaborative people. Maybe its just a symptom of growing older though. Who knows.
  • What do you see your role as IC in the galaxy.
Karren? Angel from hell to beat hell back with fire. Jada? Lost Spacer trying to pay a massive debt, Run a ragtag Navy of Refugees, Cause chaos for Imperials and generally do right by folks as best she can.
  • Same as above, but OOC.
As a Veteran definitely. As a collaborative RP'er with a lot of XP and a lot more Common sense than my younger days. Definitely as a Shepperd of the newer RP'ers. Fresh blood brings us fresh stories.

Let em grow old here. Let em write!

  • Tell a brief story about the pivotal point where you got hooked on a character, or were turned off completely and abandoned them.

RC 212. Got his butt whooped and captured by bounty hunters so many times. I think he holds the board record for most bounties ever collected on a single Char lol. Loved him when he was there, but after a brief hiatus and the Lords of the Fringe essentially dissolving RC had no place. I had to retire him because everywhere he went people were still trying to kill or capture him for old 2013 crimes lol.

So sadly I bid him farewell and now he just comes back in Cameos to cause utter Chaos and stir the pot. Which is what he's really meant for.

¤Who is your fav character on the site? Why?: [member="Veiere Arenais"] . He's more complex than he lets on. He reminds me of Qui-Gonn a lot, but having now gone a bit darker, it's almost scary. And just that little twist in Darkness has added even more depth to the character. There's just never a dull moment.

¤What is your favortie Character that you write. Why? Kay obviously...lol. I've written her for so long that she's almost a split personality of mine. With her, posts come quite easily and naturally.

¤What is your favorite Character Archetype, and Why? The reluctant hero. They are selfless and don't become a hero for the glory. They just do seemingly heroic things because it's the right thing to do.

¤What is your most hated Archetype. Why? The womanizers...lol I've always found them annoying.

¤How long have you been RPing? Umm...this coming May it'll be 19 years since I started. Gosh, that's more than a lot of people here have been alive >.<

¤Whats your day job? I have several; full time mommy and wife, newly disabled part-time employee in the auto industry, and freelance voice over actress :)

¤What do you think makes a good RPer? There's gotta be some give and take. You can't always win. Losing builds character and it's fun too :) It's always great to have an 'enemy' that you can have fun with and laugh at trying to best eachother through various schemes.

¤What do you see your role as IC in the galaxy? Not a big one. Just someone that offers a safe haven to those that need it, even if it's just temporary. Her voice and gov't aren't loud or big enough for others to listen to. Instead she helps keep the Trade Economy moving, regardless of blockades set upon others.

¤Same as above, but OOC: I'm reliable and always there when others need a helping hand with their companies, dominions and whatnot. I've also been the Space Mom to many people, being a shoulder to lean on during bad times. There are so many good friends that I have in this forum that I value in high regard.

¤Tell a brief story about the pivotal point where you got hooked on a character, or were turned off completely and abandoned them: It took some time to get Kay broken to the Darkside. Given that I'm not dark in nature, it was very difficult to write her in that way. I had some guidance, but then it became unreliable to the point of complete abandonment. If I had known that it would happen that way, I wouldn't of agreed to the plot. But I didn't handwave it either. It took months for Kay to regain the light fully. And there could be times where her dark actions in the past would come back to haunt her. It's hard to say. It could be that those skeletons in her closet remain there until long after she dies. Who knows? But I wonder at times what could have happened if things went differently. The CSA would probably have become a different sort of faction.

But I'm quite happy with what it is now :)

  • Who is your fav character on the site? Why?
Don't have one. I haven't RP'd with enough characters yet.
  • What is your favortie Character that you write. Why?
Nessarose deWinter.

Essentially, all my main ladies were made to represent how I saw something in my life. When I created Shery deWinter, I made her what the perfect woman was (I was a gothic 15 year old, that influenced her character design quite a lot). When I created Nessarose (Shery's youngest daughter), I was in the midst of a clinical depression episode that ended up taking four years of my life. Nessa was how I envisioned the perfect woman then - happy, carefree, on the nutty side, with a knack for getting people to like her. She's my favorite character out of those I've ever written, she's incredibly active in her life, and she's someone who can't stay down. She was my crutch during those years, and she's the only character that can affect me emotionally for more than a spit of a second when I write her, usually for good.

My current main lady is Nessa's daughter, Scherezade. I have a few thoughts about her creation and what I see now, but it's still too early for me to analyze.

  • What is your favorite Character Archetype, and Why?
Holy/Mage Whores. I don't know why. It's a string that passes through most of the main characters that I write, in one way or another. I also immensely reading other characters fall under this character archetype.
  • What is your most hated Archetype. Why?
Lawful-good-always-doing-the-right-thing-heroes. It gets really boring really fast.
  • How long have you been RPing?
In chats since 1998.
Tabletop since 1999.
Forums since 2000.
LARPs since 2002 (though I stopped in 2003 and never went back to it).
  • Whats your day job?
I'm a freelance content writer, looking for a day job in an office as a project manager in the marketing departments of gaming companies.
  • What do you think makes a good RPer.
Being aware of what others are doing. RPing, more than anything, is about communication. The story needs to come out as a dialogue of actions, speech, emotions, actions, and reactions between various characters. This can come in a gazillion different flavours, but the base line is, if you get the dialogue part of it going, you're going to be amazing and everyone is going to love you.
  • What do you see your role as IC in the galaxy.
As Scherezade, her role is currently to learn and grow. She just came into existence two months ago, she's green about everything, but she has knowledge of too many things that were placed in her head by Shery (her grandmother), so she's still sorting that out. I'm probably going to stay in this phase with her for a long time.

Eventually though, I want to take her to Endelaan to claim her place as Queen and annoy the heck out of neighboring factions :) She's going to be political, involved, and... Interesting. Or at least, I hope I can get her that way.
  • Same as above, but OOC.
I want to collect all the nice people and play with them :3
  • Tell a brief story about the pivotal point where you got hooked on a character, or were turned off completely and abandoned them.
I had an NPC that I loved to write. Her name was Aeval. She was the Seer on Endelaan, and pretty much everyone, myself included, was crazy about RPing with her. It got to a point where I was writing with her enough to make her a PC, so I did. And that move killed my love and passion for her. As an NPC, she was mysterious, interesting, always knowing what to say to who and when. As a PC, and thus, with more inner monologue, something about her magic just died.

So I killed her IC and replaced her with someone else that gave people the chills of creepiness.

  • Who is your favourite character on the site? Why?
This week, my favourite character on the site is [member="Cassandra Paige"] . She is wonderfully written and deliciously evil, yet she gets away with it IC and OOC.

[*]What is your favourite Character that you write. Why?
  • Darth Ophidia is certainly my favourite, but I love all my characters, from Jedi Knight Kaia Vullen, to Mandalorian Aves Wren, to Joycelyn Zambrano and Darth Filiae. I wouldn't write them if I didn't love them in some capacity.

[*]What is your favourite Character Archetype, and Why?
  • This is a difficult choice. I obviously love the Sith Assassin idea (like in Ophidia and Filiae). it has grown on me greatly. I am also a great fan of the Sith Warrior (like Joycelyn); Someone who shamelessly pushes forward in conquest and bloodshed for their dark purpose. In Jedi, I prefer to make sage-like Jedi who pursue wisdom and knowledge, and who above all are kind and humble.

[*]What is your most hated Archetype. Why?
  • The Grey Jedi - "Master of Both Sides". It's a recipe for mary-sues, it offers no tangible drawbacks but writers of this archetype are prone to taking all the benefits. There are characters that focus on balance that can be interesting, but they should lean one way or the other and the closer they are to neutrality the less power they should have imo.

[*]How long have you been RPing?
  • 11 Years total, three years on Chaos.

[*]Whats your day job?
  • Student, PG MA Linguistics.

  • What do you think makes a good RPer.
A good RPer reads thoroughly and understands the situation they are in, then goes in to create opportunities for narrative and character growth. This requires a sense of empathy, a willingness to participate, and to not take it all too personally. It is also not about writing much or little, but just enough to give the needed information and set the appropriate tone.
I myself am working on improving my writing in several aspects of this. It is difficult.

[*]What do you see your role as IC in the galaxy.
  • The role for Darth Ophidia is to be an unseen hand that supports the Sith on their road to galactic domination. She places herself above all others so that she may guide the galaxy to what she imagines is the perfect future.

[*]Same as above, but OOC.
  • OOC, my role is simple: I like to roleplay, and I will roleplay what I like when I like it (within the rules and confines of the site). I like to help make places where people can experience an idea and write a certain kind of stories, which is why I often get involved with factions. So far, I have been in mainly dark side factions because that is where my favourite character is.
  • If you look for my character's OOC purpose, Darth Ophidia is my attempt at writing a 100% irredeemable character. She is evil through and through, though she doesn't display it every chance she gets. There is no light left in her soul, only a dark desire to destroy all that is living. Joycelyn's purpose is to be a foil within the dark, she wants to meet everything head on and while she appears more wicked, there are things she cares for. Filiae is meant to be Ophidia's successor, she has a longer path to the dark. Kaia is meant to be innocence and thereby a foil to Ophidia's evil, but also a foil to Joycelyn's warlike nature. Aves sticks out by being the most afraid of them all, which makes her difficult to write.

  • Tell a brief story about the pivotal point where you got hooked on a character, or were turned off completely and abandoned them

The story that springs to mind is the Assassination on Onderon. It was the pivotal point in Darth Ophidia's progression and the moment when I decided that she was the character I most wanted to focus on (putting all others in the back seat).

It was during the war between the One Sith and the Galactic Republic. The Republic had just lost two invasions against the Sith at Telti and Ord Mirit, and they were mourning their dead in a public burial ceremony on their then capital world of Onderon. The then Sith Knight, Darth Ophidia, was dispatched on a secret mission to infiltrate the ceremony and add despair to their event. After sneaking in, she waited for the King of Onderon to Embrace senator @Cecily de Demici and then ran them both through with her lightsabres before throwing thermal detonators into the burial procession. She was given chase, but outpaced her pursuers and left Onderon in a cloaked ship.

Rumours has it that the assassination played part in the capital of the Republic moving to Chazwa. Having had such influence in a thread made me quite proud and made me feel like I had some semblance of influence on board events. It also made me realise how Ophidia works and has shaped her ever since.

  • Who is your fav character on the site? Why
[member="Josh DragonsFlame"]
  • What is your favortie Character that you write. Why?
[member="Kei Raxis"]
  • What is your favorite Character Archetype, and Why?
Fallen Jedi always interested me. No idea why, just do.
  • What is your most hated Archetype. Why?
Overly devoted Sith. Just, no.
  • How long have you been RPing?
Six, seven or so years. Four on Chaos.
  • Whats your day job?
Student!

  • What do you think makes a good RPer.
Someone I can bounce Idea's from and tell a good story with, someone who is good at improvising.
  • What do you see your role as IC in the galaxy.
Meh, start things and just exist.
  • Same as above, but OOC.
Just the guy that likes to have fun :)

  • Who is your fav character on the site? Why:
That's a really tough one...-There are a select few names I've been Role-playing with from the start ([member=Lady Kay], [member=Atheus Voidwalker], [member=Samka Derith], [member=Ara Zambrano] and more...).
  • What is your favorite Character that you write. Why?:
[member=Veiere Arenais] by a mile. Easily my most successful unsuccessful character! He has failed in almost everything that he has tried to do, yet has been my longest running character and had the most extraordinary stories...
  • What is your favorite Character Archetype, and Why?:
The Underdog - Whether good or bad by virtue, I like a challenge and I like to see out the characters development, their growth and eventual coming out of this Archetype into whatever it is they're "meant" to become. I also love PvP and being an underdog both in character and inventory adds so much more thrill to the fight when the odds are stacked against me.
  • What is your most hated Archetype. Why?:
The Politician (Strange I know given Veiere & Kay), I cannot stand politics and I cannot for the life of me play them out myself in role-play. ([member="Lady Kay"] does a wonderful take on it btw).
  • How long have you been RPing?:
Since the age of thirteen...So Sixteen years. Goddamn, I feel old.
  • Whats your day job?:
Full Time Student (Bachelor of Social Work).
  • What do you think makes a good RPer:
Collaboration, understanding and patience - Creativity is an obvious one but when you're working with a community as large as SWRP: Chaos, I find people tend to forget that we're here to enjoy ourselves first and foremost. I don't enjoy drama, nowadays I just don't have the time for it. I want a chill environment where people can enjoy a well written story with a comfortable and light OOC background.
  • What do you see your role as IC in the galaxy:
I guess, currently Veiere's been arrested and is awaiting trial for the attack of Deneba. I do still hope to do something with the Dark Jedi Order, though whether it's for him or meant for another character, I'm not sure. Things are in the air at the moment as I'm being swallowed up by studying. RL Priorities and such.
  • Same as above, but OOC:
Well that's an obvious one, I'm the Resident Kiwi.
  • Tell a brief story about the pivotal point where you got hooked on a character, or were turned off completely and abandoned them:
The foundation of the Commenor Systems Alliance.

The Republic was going under; following the failed Conclave held on Yutan (The First), [member="Lady Kay"] and [member="Veiere Arenais"] (At that time, her bodyguard by employment) moved to relocate themselves to the world of Commenor. Back then it was Kay's side story, a planet that she represented within the Senate yet was also plagued by the One Sith as it sat within their territory. Her character had sought assistance to help the world regain it's independence and in the end, the War that broke out between the two followed quickly by the growing Mandalorian Empire sweeping the Core Worlds soon free'd Commenor by conquest.

Over a good number of threads, Kay sought to run for the presidency. An actual vote was held, played out and all of it done In-Character. Commenor at this time wasn't even a minor-faction. It grew over the space of a year before we went Major. The stories that have been played and pulled in others have been vast and always entertaining. Both their (Kay and Veiere's) relationship has grown beyond what we planned, and present company continues to expand with the great writers we have on board.

Overall, the CSA is a testament to IC consistency and enjoyment. It's been a privilege to ride this journey with Kay and the others and I've yet to top this feat with any other character as of yet.
