Round 1: Nick Gamastar vs Sophie Gustav [ToA]

| [member="Sophie Gustav"] | [member="Nick Gamastar"] |

The Tournament of Acolytes had begun. In front of the watching crowd of One Sith and the other Sith Acolytes, Sophie Gustav and Nick Gamastar would begin their first duel. Darth Ayra stood centre to both of them as they stood centre stage. "The two of you will now fight one another. You will try to kill one another. Show us what you are capable of."

The Sith Lord left the arena. Silence ensued. No word was given to begin. But since when did you need to be told to kill someone? It was at the dawning of that question at Sophie and Nick knew that it was time to fight.

And so it had begun. Sophie had walked out into the arena, the crowd of all watching her and her opponenet. Even Sophie had to look at him as well. Such a young boy. But she wouldn't let looks device her anymore than they would him to her. They were both trained in the ways of the dark side but neither knew which either was capable of for now. That would be thr true part of this test, trying to see who had more aces up thier sleeve over the other.

After Darth Arya gave the word to begin Sophie looked to [member="Nick Gamastar"] and narrowed her eyes. A few deep breaths as she focused on the task at hand. Fight. Take him down and move on to the next round. Simple as that. With that mindset she reached back and drew her saber, the one granted to her by her master for this tournament, and ignited it. The green blade of a fallen jedi hummed in her hand as she stood in a neutral stance, her blade in front of her and pointed up and at the ready. She'd let him make the first move, youngest first and all that...

The darkness around the room was intensifying when the round was about to start. The Sith Lord, Darth Ayra had told that they had to proof their skills in combat. He did not think of a killing intention, but his aura was indeed very serious. His fear had just disappeared, he was very confident in his abilities and he had a certain urge to become Knight and this was the tournament to proof it. He had been 10 years long already with the Sith, training, studying and doing quests to become more powerful every single day. He studied under multiple masters, Darth Kyros, Darth Malificete and Darth Praelior

When he saw the girl stepping into the ring, he followed her and cutely bowed, "I hope you have a load of fun." His Sith Illusions showed that he was so young, but what would she think if they were around the same age. The moment he was seeing the girl using a lightsaber, he looked around not changing his head position, only to get a feel on where the walls were and how he could manipulate that kind of environment.

His pets, the rancors that he made come from the abyss of the jungle were following him like guard dogs, and the Rancor that fell down to the ground stood up, no wound was seen. The Rancors were following him with no intention, they were getting hungry though and they were out to fight. The moment he got at a large distance, he opened the tube boxes which were on his back the entire time. He had risen his left hand up and suddenly a whole load of daggers from the academy training room came out levitating by the force. There were 20 daggers in total and two broken blades. Then he took out the final weapon within the box. It was a spear once again from the training room. Did he not possess a lightsaber or did he have something else up his sleeve.

When he truly got given the first turn he said, "Ready... Go two" A rancor started to move at Nick his command and he pointed his finger forward, in front of the rancor came the barrage of daggers all straight towards [member="Sophie Gustav"] the daggers were out to stab the girl all over her body and the rancor was closing in.

Sophie was suprised by the fact that [member="Nick Gamastar"] had been allowed his pet rancor into the fight. Had she'd known that were the case she might have considered bringing in Sebastian, her loyal devourer pup. Then again given this was a battle of skills and to the death it wouldn't help to lose her valued friend. Instead she had to settle for facing with the rancor and a group of daggers coming towards her.

The latter were easier to deal with. A powerful force pulse had knocked them out of the air, letting them drop to the ground. The former, however, would be different. She jumped out of the way using a force jump to avoid the rancor. After she'd made it to the beast's left she swept foward with a heavy slash for his ankles, hopping to topple it down before delivering a killing stab into the monster's skull.

The attack had seemed to be a true successful or was it only a curse? The moment she went of his ankles it went went to the side, it showed as if it pivoted away but then she jumped and her stabbing moving had seemed to work. The skull seemed to bleed for a moment, but it fell to the ground in the end and stood up, the wound had vanished?! There was no track of her dangerous stab into its skull. What was actually happening out there? The creature turned around and Nick said, "One ...go!" Another Rancor followed into the attack coming at a high speed towards the woman. The question was for the girl to figure out, what kind of creatures was she facing? The rancor behind attempted to show a bite movement which would go over towards the girl her head the moment she would come down, but if she didn't try to go further up, it would feel a ripping bite coming near her ankles, it would pierce viciously through her tendons, but it didn't rip it away after that it would go towards the ground and step back once again.

His second Rancor was not attacking at all in the end. It stopped around 12 feet from Nick.

Nick Gamastar rise up his hand in order to get the control back of his daggers as they were back under his control, he would make them come with his hands movements towards both sides of the girl if she would come out of the air. "Just give up, miss~ I do not want to hurt you any further.." He asked very politely while the illusions kept on working its magic.

[member="Sophie Gustav"]

Illusions. That was his ploy. It had to have been. Given how the rancor managed to bring itself back up after taking what should have been killer blows to it's body, and the fact that they were there to begin with. What Sith would allow for rancors to actually be in a tournament? How could Sophoe have not seen it ealier. At least she could assume the rancors were fake. The daggers may have actually been under his control with the force. A risk she didn't want to take if it meant the difference in this fight.

With everything coming towrds her Sophie needed to clear the air. Focusing her emotions inside her she closed her eyes and crossed her arms. Building everything up and accumilating all her raw emotional power into one grand pulse that she unleashed. Whatever was around her would feel it for sure. It had taken the wind out of her, however, but it was enough to draw them back, both the rancor illusions and the daggers.

Now with a clear line of slight Sophie recovered and charged towards [member="Nick Gamastar"]. Her saber was drawn up behind her as she ran towards him. Once she was close enough she leapt into the air to bring down a heavy blow to his body, in the hopes of cutting him in half.

The first trick he tried to pull off did not seem to work any longer, the moment the girl was finally using her head instead of her lightsaber, yet she was not letting the force guide here, this was where her mistake had lied. He smiled for a moment. She was charging straight in towards him. He said, "Go.." The illusions had disappeared and it appeared they were Vornskr's. They were hounds captured by him when they were slightly younger and trained under his command to fight. The moment he used force push in order to get him away.

4 of the hounds were going for a contact, than from both his sides those creatures were aiming for the girl, one was aiming for the hands right hand of the girl the other was two were aiming for both a leg and the last dog was trying to contact his tail into her stomach.

The other two Vornskr's were in current recoil they were shaking their heads to get their dizziness away.

Now Nick had decided to show his almost true form, a man from 5'8 feet showed himself, his body resembled the galaxy and he wore a neat suit, "Hmm, interesting you surely are... Maybe I will take you as my apprentice.. My name is Darth (i) Illusio.." He told her quickly as the darkside aura was showing around him and he threw the spear forward, he increased the speed with his force push and made himself being able to control the object at his own will. The spear would come straight towards her that moment when she would most likely try to cut it off with the lightsaber it would go from those two parts straight towards her, the were always aiming for her neck. [member="Sophie Gustav"]

These beasts didn't indimidate Sophie. She'd been through hell at one point, trying to survive in the depths of Courascant's Undercity against all manner of sithspawn great and small. She even had the scars to prove it. These Vornskrs were just another pain in the heck to deal with. She stopped as they came towards her and stood her ground. Holding her blade out at the ready she waited until they made their advance on her.

Quickly sweeping she saber all the way around her body, bringing it up and down to deal with the four hounds when they tried attacking her. A cyclone-like sweep would make short work of them. Once they were out of the way she looked back to [member="Nick Gamastar"] seeing that he dropped his illusion form in favor of what she assumed was his real one. So he was a man after all.

She was taken back, however, when he claimed to be a Darth. And then the gall to try and make her his apprentice? Never. She stopped, since there were still two more vornskr to deal with, but kept herself at the ready as she confonted him.

"If you were really a Darth, than means you're a knight. And you're in this torunament unfairly." she stated, ready for whatever retort he might have; be it verbal of physical.

Only of the one actual creatures had died, it was true that the girl used a lightsaber but she was not a brutal physical worked girl in order to crush them all at once. The other creatures were poundering though a sort of mumbling in their own way. He looked at her seeing her guard up for the vornskr's and this was his kind of way to make her suffer. "You do not understand, this is only but a tournament for the Darth's to look for new apprentices. The knights have to take apprentices, the real Darth's pick only but one apprentice till they are ready to become a sith lord, I am the only Sith that can heal.." He had already planned and looked at its creature, the girl could not even see a single facial expression coming from the man. He spoke constantly while doing the action already his hands together as He was not scared at all, he was actually quite excited, The moment the vornskr were walking under its stomach well hidden where the daggers levitating. The moment it would've come close enough. The creature would jump as if it wanted to attack but from below the daggers were coming.

The moment she would focus onto the dagger the spear would go straight for her back and stab through it.

[member="Sophie Gustav"]

"I already have a master, you son of a gundark." Sophie said, getting tired and annoyed of all his illusions. "And she taught me a lot. Like this..."

Sophie could sense everything around her, uncluding the spear and the beasts. She had one last trick up her sleeve. One thing she wasn't sure if [member="Nick Gamastar"] had noticed but her shadow was far larger than expected. It was big. Too big to have come from any light source in the room. She'd noticed Gamastar's large aura of the darkside but she wondered if he'd actually taken notice of her shadow being so large.

The spear that came for her back wouldn't reach her in time. Something had sprung from her shadow and into the path of the spear itself. It was a crow, or rather something that looked like a crow. It was a familiar. Once it had taken the spear the familiar dropped away bleeding back into her shadow. The spear she'd managed to grab from the familiar's body beforehand.

She turned back to Gamastar and said "Enough of this. Enough hiding behind your tricks, coward." Tossing his spear to the ground she finished with "What's wrong? Afraid to hit a girl, child?"

He looked at the girl and she was able to call a familiar, "Ugh Darth Praelior gave you that crow for sure." He told the girl as he looked behind her, "Ooh .... look there..." He told her, the young boy stood, "I guess, the boy got out of my illusion...Maybe its time you just finish him off.." He told the girl as the young boy that looked like Nick Gamastar was attempting to tap the girl her side, "Miss, I give up...I don't like it here.." The young boy was starting to cry and the spear in her hand moved with full strength would just from an extremely short distance go straight for the woman her stomach, the likelihood for her dodging it was extremely slim. She had nothing to hide near or to protect her with in this split of a second.

If she would go and even try to go for the spear, the dagger would go straight for spinal cord which could render her a disability to move.

[member="Sophie Gustav"]

Hearing the child cry she looked back, seeing yet another illusion. Sophie wasn't moved by it. In fact, if anything, it made her more angry. She hated this whole illsuion circus the apprentice before he tried to pull. Sensing his attmept with the spear again she focused the force around her, trying to create the protective sheild her master had taugh her. While she hadn't perfected it to be on all her sides if she could keep it to her back then that would work enough. It didn't matter though. Sophie was done with this.

She looked to [member="Nick Gamastar"] and said "I'd kill him if it meant taking away your power. But I won't bother anymore." She turned her back on him and said "I'm not fighting you anymore. You're a coward. And I don't fight cowards." She even kneeled down and sat in a meditavite stance. "Go ahead. Finish me. But I won't give you the satisfaction. And hear I thought the Sith were better than this."

He nodded to her seeing her in this kind of way, "Just say your name and that you resign. You will have 9 more rounds, I am a Sith sorcerer. Your fighting style is still very rough, if you give up I will help you win your next match..This tournament is not to kill...we go against each other with the intention to kill...Kill someone within the academy under the sight of a dark lord. You will be executed." His hands would concentrate together as his five beasts would come around him. "You have nine more rounds...to proof that you are a sith... This is only but a game. Look around, are there any Sith lords other than Darth Ayra and me as Sith Knight." He told the girl as he extended his hand with a full speed rush attack of his spear it would hit with the side against her neck if nothing was done she would most likely have been rendered on conscious.

[member="Sophie Gustav"]

Right into the trap. She'd been playing her way through this last few minutes. She had her senses ready and, best yet, [member="Nick Gamastar"] had neglected one of the daggers that had dropped in front of where Sophie was kneeling. When his spear came foward she ducked to the side. Getting to her feet she threw the dagger towards him. Wheather or not it hit didn't matter. It was a distraction. She'd been conserving what little force she could for an attack with the speed force. She rushed foward, her saber extened out to her right, going right towards him.

When the dagger came his way he shrugged and he got angered, "I told you to give up" his right foot slammed into the ground and with the anger that build up within him, he force pushed the dagger straight her way, The dagger would now not only once fly by, it would constantly use stabbing motions and from her back the spear would do the same for her back trying to stab deep within her flesh, Nick was able to help her heal afterwards anyway. While she would be busy doing such a thing, a terrible pain was felt within Nick his left arm as he suddenly shot Lightning heading straight over towards her face. If she jumped away or anything the dagger and the spear would follow her, The more she would run around the room, the more daggers would come back within his grip and flow towards his area for him to control. (If you did the jump or duck the side)

[member="Sophie Gustav"]

The sudden counter attack of the dagger coming back towards her was suprising. He prove to be resilient. Sophie, however, held her saber up to defened against any and all stabbing motions it made. If anything she hoped it would wind up hitting the dagger and cutting in in the process. But just as soon as she realized it the spear had attacked as well. She tried turning in time to bring her saber up but it had managed to sneak a strike into her side as she moved. She felt it cut into her as deep as a flesh wound. She dropped to her knee before feeling where it had struck. She could feel blood coming from it. A bad sign. But as long as she was breathing she wasn't out of the fight yet. Another scar to add to the ones she'd gained while fighting sithspawn in Undercity. When the spear came again she ellected to slice it in two, now having to face a force lighting blast coming towards her. With no other options she held her saber up in the hopes of blocking it before it could damage her.

Nick Gamastar had observed the girl. The shift movements, the techniques, she had been utilizing. This allowed him to have a certain thought, "But of course", Her movements weren't that of a Sith, they were not heavy and with a straight intention of the dark side of the force. The girl was aligned with the force or rather a lightsider. The Force Barrier Technique was a common Jedi technique, his training with his second master seemed to pay off with knowledge. The knowledge he was forced to learn about the Jedi. Another way was sitting on the ground with the Force Barrier, a sith would've used that as an upper hand to instantly go forward, no matter how much pain one could've gotten. The last way he found it out was by the complaining about his fighting style, thinking the Sith were any different.

He smiled behind his mask for a short period of time, it started to make so much more sense for him now. When he was observing the girl her movements, she was seeming to see a slick of a second in a high speed. She started to get more in sync with that light side of the force. When she first went for his dagger and cut it in two, it didn't seem too much of a problem. She would be able to dodge a whole lot less now, since one of her knees was injured. He kept observing her as if every little bit of information was needed to win from this Jedi or rather now want to become Acolyte.

When his force lightning had struck towards the girl, she wouldn't feel too much of his lightning being a recoil against her lightsaber. It was true the Sith Lightning was one of the most dangerous force techniques that actually excited, but it was a technique that had a huge pay in order to work correctly and an Acolyte wouldn't be able to perform it correctly except a few. Even Sith Lords were most of the time paying a toll for the technique. When he used it, his arms was involved with the lightning and it burned his right under-arm. It was time to start playing her game instead of his.

"Hehehe, this will be fun.."

His voice went through the room as his mask had faded away and the illusions had stopped. The seventeen year old his face was actually seen now. There was no illusion anymore around the room as he opened and closed his left hand a few times. He kept on laughing in a creepy way, now that his illusions were gone. The drain of his force would stop for now, but something was off. His face was seen but, he was only growing more and more into the abyss of the Dark Side. His mind was actually the thing that was in complete hell. His eyes were red as if it was a light within the dark. His darkness was like an aura around him or a cloud all together. His aura was resembling, pain, hatred. It was not yet complete three more affinities were needed to attain his goal.

"All of you..corner.."

He had told to his creatures, they were going away and towards a corner where they sat. Even they were becoming slightly afraid. It might have not been so dark for a Sith Lord, but for the people that knew him, it was a heck of a change. Darth Praelior was always hoping for such a thing, pinpointing that he should have lost his humanity for only but rage to get his true potential to show up, yet he never did so. Now Nick was on the right track and he looked at the girl, his mouth opened as she stood on a nice distance. His tubes from his back were placed onto the ground.

"You want a fair fight?"

The Sith academy battle blades were taken out of the tubes and there were two of them. They were in a rough state, but they had seemed to have survived. They were actually his blades from a few years ago. The overseer which looked over his saber training had always given him a very hard time. It had a load of memories and even more rust of his stained blood, it was a memorial type of equipment, that he took from there. Only to remember the pain of wielding a lightsaber. The struggles, he had those years till he took the chance to train under another Sith.

"Deactivate the lightsaber..and use this blade.."

He tossed the saber her way with an easy throwing fashion, the broken blade was not made to kill only to bruise and maybe break if hit truly with a brutal strength or of course at the correct points render someone unconscious. It had no form of sharpness and was good to use. When he tossed it to her the blade was pointed down and at the highest point was the hilt, there was nothing strange about the weapon. It only held emotions to Nick Gamastar.

"What do you say, Acolyte? You win, I will heal that knee wound of yours...I win...You let me handle your lightsaber for a moment to see its structure..."

Sophie was confused by his sudden actions. Her saber had been hit by the recoil from the lighting, she needing both hands to keep it from flying away. It had hurt though as it meant strecthing on the wound she had now. Still at least it helped. Yet now [member="Nick Gamastar"] seemed as if he was standing down. He dropped the illusion of his mask away, revealing his true face. Given how it looked Sophie would've made a joke about why he hid behind so many illusions in the first place. Then he recalled his beasts, another indication something was up. Them came two blades he produced. At first Sophie thought he was going to use both of them against her, yet he tossed her one which she managed to catch. And now he gave her the proposal of fighting with these as opposed to is illusions and her lightsaber. Sophie didn't fully trust this. She figured it must've been he was tired from using so much of the force against her that it was starting to strain him. At least he was down his advantage, but Sophie was compromised from the wound. So they both had even playing field.

After hearing his out she scoffed and said " 'See the structre' my hyde. You'd probably just want to use it on me." She thought it over for a minute before turning her saber off and saying "Fine. But anymore tricks and that's it." While saying this she took of the coat of her dress and tore at the sleeves, wrapping them around her body to cover the wound, making makeshift bandages. It was the best she could do for now, at least stopping the bleeding. With the other sword in hand she said "You're move."

The blades were not by him produced, they were from the academy. They were the entire time within his tube and he didn't use it for these reasons, both has a certain goal but killing at the first match would only make them. His eyes observed her as he started to speak while his stance was taken.

"Correct, I only want to see the structure, every lightsaber is different. It can be the crystal to the smallest bit of change."

The Vornskr's were staying within the corners as it was told by their master. His feet shifted out of each other. His right foot went in front of his body, while holding the blade with his left hand. He bend his knees and took the most basic stance within the academy. He was never good at it, so he had to play defensive and learn from her lightsaber style.

[SIZE=13.63636302948px]"Once you are ready...Attack"[/SIZE]
He kept on ready observing her as much as possible.

[member="Sophie Gustav"]

Seeing his stance Sophie stood her ground, taking a moment to realize the shape of the blade. Simple but elegant enough, much like any saber. She still thought what he wanted to see so badly from the sber she carried, since it wasn't her own but onw given to her by her master which belonged to a slain jedi. If anything he was probably trying to figure ideas on how to make his own. But Sophie doubted that and thought it real intentions were less obvious then that. It didn't matter.

Sophie stanced with her one knee out and the other behind while the blade was held in front of her and pointing up. She advanced and started with an overhead strike followed by a parry and attack to his right side followed by an attempt to the left. Her attacks were meant to probe and analyze, something her master taught her when first facing your opponenet.
