Intent: To give the Republic Special Forces a unique, recognizable, weapon. Also to introduce a recently developed (in SWRP timeline) blaster rifle so people don't have to keep referring to their aging E-11 blaster.

Description: When the RSFU was created, the officials realised rather quickly that they needed their own special firearm. They commissioned BlasTech to create a blaster rifle specifically for them and so the DB-08 was born. The rifle was expensive, but packed a punch. The soldiers loved it instantly, thanks to it's versatility.
