Rules of Survival

The silence was broken by the sound of footsteps, followed by the sound of her door being unlocked. Then again footsteps, someone walking away in quite a hurry. It was not even close to breakfast yet, so it was clear that this was the signal for [member="Serenity Loveheart"] to make her move.

At another place of Star's End two other doors where unlocked as well. Only a few minutes later Malic and Toruk meet in a side corridor away from the rest of the prison. There would be a riot, but little did the rest of the inmates know that only a handful of them, the Twi'lek, his brutish Zabrak friend and the new girl to be exact, would leave this place today. Everyone else was simply bait.

"There and there Toruk. Do your thing."

For the first time it became clear why Malic was in charge of the inmates, and why he kept the Zabrak close. The Twi'lek pointed at two points at a blank wall. With his gigantic hands the zabrak ripped them apart, only the reveal the electronics below them. Something only someone who knew how to build a prison could know of.

"You know what to do right?"

The Zabrak simply made a grunt, while his long claw like nails began to cut several connections. While Toruk was as stupid as brick, he had a unexplained talent for everything involving electronics and tech. Now it was all up to Serenity. The cut connections would lead the guards to believe there was a malfunction in a block far away from them, and only few would come to stop her. Once the riot would break out they would call in reinforcements on a ship, as every other guard was already caught up somewhere else.

It was early, very very early. Whoever had unlocked her door, disturbed her sleep, well, she didn't know the answer to that one. Needless to say, she was groggy. Nevertheless, she remembered the date. Breakout day. A day she had loathed for since she entered the compound.

Remembering his instructions... she just needed a way to carry them out, and of course, there was the comical "kill every guard in the facility" but it would be almost, ironically, too loud. No. She needed something more innocent, more cynical, and besides; she was only a child after all, only being able to do so much with the force to manipulate people. First plan of action? Get a gun.

Although the plan was thought out rather fast in comparison to probably the hours of scheming her accomplices had gone through, she closed the door, to a point of where it made the illusion of it being closed, but still very much being able to be opened, and then she started to rattle on the doors of it, screaming to the loudest point that her vocal chords would allow her, and probably punishing her tomorrow morning when she was back in civilization, well, the most civilized part of Nar Shaddaa she could find, with those sweet delicate pastries and succulent joints of meat.

"One of you guards got me pregnant and I want out of this place!" Of course it was a lie, but attacking their fragile thoughts of getting an inmate present, something that in prisons never went down well, would need some silencing.

"The hell you talking about girl?"

One of the guards had heard the noise, as well as the rather outlandish claim that [member="Serenity Loveheart"] had just made. The blaster rifle rested in his hands as he stopped in front of the door, aiming it directly at the door. His face told that he had awoken only recently as well, and his movement were slow and sluggish, telling stories of last nights round of poker and drinks in the crew quarters.

"Whatever. Just shut up alright. We guards have to sleep as well."

The guard lowered the weapon and continued to look at the door, his mind thinking as slow as his movement. Then he spoke again, trying to sound a bit more professional.

"Okay. Alright I probably have to report this, lie or not. So for the protocol, which guard, where and when."

With a deep sigh the guard attached the weapon to his belt and reached for a datapad, searching for the right form to report a situation like this,

Immediately, her mood changed when she gathered the attention of the officer; she wasn't so loud now as she was tearfully weeping.

"We-.. well it happened in my cell..." gesturing him to open the cell door, her arms still locked around the bars separating them.

In his head, his brain would start to swirl as she looked at him innocently, purposely using this as a ploy to play with his mind, closing her fist he would begin to repeat her words.

"I ask that you give me your weapon, officer."

[member="Darth Abyss"]

After the last sentence of [member="Serenity Loveheart"] the guard lifted an eyebrow. Then his lips formed a smile and he lowered the datapad, and once again raised the weapon to aim it at the door. Controlling the thoughts of others was an art that required self control and patience, both things Serenity had slowly picked up on her time in Star's End.

"What do you think you are girl some kind of jed..."

The man's cruel smile slowly faded away as his words slowly trailed of into thin air. Then all emotion was gone from the guard's face, as he walked to the door, and dropped the weapon into the girl's hands. Afterwards he simply remained, confused, clearly not happy with what was going on but unable to hold a thought long enough to do something against it. Nowhere near full mindcontrol but still enough to make a normal man struggle.

It was only a matter of minutes now until the riot would break out, and by the there had to be enough chaos to force the guards to call a ship for either emergency pick up or quick reinforcements, depending on how bad things would turn out.

"Good boy" as the rifle fell into her hands, opening the cell door and aiming it directly at his head, issuing a blaster bolt directly through the cranium with no sound following, apart from the thudding of a body against the concrete floor.

As this happened, the prison gates banged with an onslaught of angry men and women, who most likely believed that it was going to be the end for them; perhaps they were about to be executed? Well, if they were, it wouldn't be Serenity doing it.

She then spoke at the top of her lungs, echoing throughout the cell block. "If you wanna get out, then shut up for a minute." Assuming that the giant or indeed Malic himself would come up with a plan on how to start this little riot, given only 3 of them had been aware of it before the plan itself was going to be executed. A smug grin crossed her lips as she realized she was back in a position of authority, a position of power.

[member="Darth Abyss"]

Suddenly every single door inside the prison was unlocked, and words blasted out of the speakers everywhere. On the other end of the sound system waited Malic, speaking into a quickly build device that no one but Toruk could have build out of the small bits and pieces they had gathered since the plan had set in motion a few days ago, linked to the systems hidden behind another ripped open wall.

"Fellow Inmates, freedom is here. The Black Sun is on their way to get out off here. All we have to do in return is to burn this place down for them."

Chaos.

Absolute utter Chaos.

In mere minutes Star's End had lost all order, guards and inmates were engaged in bloody, violent fights while the station itself was slowly ripped apart by them. Little did they know that there were no Black Sun reinforcements on their way to take them of world, and that a quick death was the best most of them could hope for if they didn't wanted to waste away in prison for the next 50 years.

But neither for Malic, Toruk nor [member="Serenity Loveheart"] this mattered. All the girl had to do was to keep the riot dangerous enough to give the two others time to take over the ship that would get them out of this place, a ship that was only a small jump away by now.

A loud buzzing noise accompanied the doors opening, jumping a bit she looked as hundreds, possibly thousands began to swarm out of their cells. Caught unaware, several guards who had only now just begun to make their way to discovering the dead body were thrown off of edges, hundreds of feet below to certain doom, their bodies thudding against the ground and leaving blood marks smeared everywhere. Particularly, she didn't enjoy this part. Being rushed by prisoners, not to be attacked by just to be shoved was not her forte. They had formed makeshift hold out zones, where those with the most powerful weapons hid behind the cannon fodder of the smaller species.

And then there was Serenity.

Out of place, out of touch and quite frankly, out of interest to care for this rabble. Although she remembered the words burned into her mind just days ago, create panic. Oh well. A few shots ran towards the groups who had previously thought her to be their ally, not with precision aim but absolute carelessness, hitting those who chose their positions poorly. Although in the chaotic atmosphere, they could not pin-point the only one who was nailing their shots.

Perhaps in pure desperation, or a moment of psychosis, one of the masked guards approached her, believing her to have converted to the side of her captors? She wasn't a fan of Stockholm syndrome.

"We should advance straight ahead, take-.." "Shut up." was his response as he was nailed in the head, drawing the attention of a few who were crossing a bridge-like structure to the cell block. Without a word, she fired once more, finishing off the other security officer situated just meters away. Advancing across the bridge, she then allowed the inmates to be put to the slaughter, or perhaps break free themselves. One thing was sure though, she was getting out of this joint one way or another.

A single ship jumped out of hyperspace, a transporter bringing another hundred guards to keep Star's End under control. Yet there was a key difference between the man on board and the guards on the station. They were well armed, well armored and exceptional well trained heavily hitters, each of them worth more than all the guards on the station right now, exclusively tasked to handle situations like this in places like this all around the galaxy. Once they would make their through the prison the riot would be over as quickly as it had started.

"I think it's way to loud in here."

What sounded like a pretty random call through the speaker system was a hint for [member="Serenity Loveheart"] to move from her current position. The other end of the sound system had moved a great deal, with Malic sitting relaxed in a chair looking down on the hangar bay, while the place was ripped apart everywhere else. At the same time Toruk had already killed the two remaining pilots and the other four crew members, and had started to alter several systems of the ship. Once they would leave it would look like a malfunction of the ship's system, allowing them to make their run as silent as possible when part of the plan was an all out prison riot.

Yet the way to the hangar wouldn't be that easy. If she was lucky only the normal guards would step in her way, but based on being at Star's End, luck was probably not with her. The special forces were better avoided than attacked, because time and survival were more pressing issues than a bit more spilled blood.

Luck indeed was not on her side, not only regarding the guards but a swarm of the prisoners now made it their goal to hunt her down, rip her to shreds and decimate her as she ran across the bridge, no, sprinted across the bridge; however, perhaps the guards could provide some use, the hive mind of inmates made it easy to turn them against eachother and not realize a common goal with the officers. When they turned the corner, several of these highly trained security personnel thought it was a piece of cake as a singular girl, armed with nothing but a gun made her way directly towards them.

But they did not anticipate what would come behind her, 50, possibly 150, inmates, enraged with the blood of life long friends. It wasn't that these guards couldn't deal with them, rather it would take some time to deal with them, not to mention the sheer number that there was of them, would certainly provide a distraction. In a blur of motion, they opened up, the 8 or so now being reinforced by more behind she slowed down, allowing those behind to make there way directly into the crossfire, cutting them down one by one.

Had the situation not been so dire, they probably would've placed more attention on the girl, infact, a few attempted to stop her but feel victim to a blaster bolt in the chest. Regardless, the situation was perfect, despite the oncoming bullets, the guards' shots were being slowly but surely stopped, as inmates used pack tactics to rip and destroy them to bits. But she had no interest in their petty escape, instead using this as an opportunity to take a detour past the fighting and directly to the hanger, where more guards were now being seen, on high alert.

Instinctively, she crouched behind a dark crate, providing cover from visibility. For now.

"There is a breach in hangar bay 15/5C. I repeat breach in hangar bay 15/5C. Security code Alpha Alpha Gamma Epsilon Alpha. Several inmates trying to enter escape pods."

Malic had a hard time keeping his laughter contained, while speaking through the speaker system with a slightly forced voice, using a simple code to convince the guards of his identity. No prison he had helped build or been to had been like the other, but staff rarely bothered to change the standard security codes out of either laziness or convenience. Not even on a place like this. The guards in the hanger began to scatter, convinced that several inmates where on their way of the station. In fact that was precisely what was happening, just not somewhere else than they thought. The ship that waited in the bay below him made a quick signal with the lights on top of it, a message by Toruk that everything was ready.

With a satisfied grin the blue Twi'lek left his chair, stretching a last time before taking a relaxed stroll to his way out of here. He had been here for so long that he didn't cared for a handful minutes, and they had won already anyway. On the ramp of the ship he joined his giant Zabrak friend, both of them keeping an eye out for [member="Serenity Loveheart"].

"Where is little girl Malic?"

The Zabrak walked up and down nervously, until the blue alien lowered a hand on his friend's shoulder yet another time. Again the creature clearly slowed down, able to stay calm. They were an odd pair, but this breakout made it clear why they had decided to stick together.

"Calm my friend. She will come. The force is with her."

As guards raced past her, attempting to stop the breach from escalating any further she used this as an opportunity to make her own escape. Standing up before sliding over the crate she was crouched behind, she spotted the two standing on the ramp of the ship, of course they weren't hard to miss.

The panic, the fear, she reached the starship and outstretched a hand, offering a handshake as a sign of friendship and gratitude.

"I suppose we'll be leaving then?" with a grin, following them inside.

[member="Darth Abyss"]

The ramp behind the group closed, and only a few moments later the ship was thrown into space with a rather erratic boost, only to hang almost lifeless right besides Star's End while transmitting a automated message about a system malfunction due to damages taken during the riot.

With a sly grin on his face the blue twi'lek looked first at Toruk then at [member="Serenity Loveheart"] while taking his first breath as a free man in years. They had made it. For him it had been years not just a week, but in the end it didn't mattered. Prison was behind them now, and would stay that way if they continued to be smart for the rest of their live.

"So where to now? Nar Shaddaa? The Coruscanti underworld?"

OOC
I would suggest we make a time jump to Serenity returning to Nar shaddaa, meeting with Abyss and then end this post and turn to greater things.
