"I had hoped the waves of refugees had winded down more..." Varian commented, partially to himself, partially to the Zeltron agent, "... I need to make sure the risk of collateral is minimized, that all possible scenarios are accounted for--" the spectre's helmet turned to scrutinize the violet menace next to him, "--this is not going to be another Nirauan, you understand?"
Where his calloused nature drove his actions and behavior, she was his foil, seemingly as lackadaisical as could be in her poise on the rooftop. The tips of sharp nails tapped the steel of her binoculars and she couldn't help but sigh with some wistful thought, pulling her eyes from their lenses to look up at him once again. She was shameless in the obvious appraisal and admiration she did of the man, striking at him with a smoldering light to her blue hues. "The streams won't stop anytime soon darling, their entire planet was destroyed." Chelenne hummed, placing her binoculars down on her thigh before unwinding the cord bound to her wrist and sweeping her tresses back and up, tucking them into a messy ponytail. "I've no interest in terrorizing the terrorized, regardless. Not much to gain from that, you know; too gauche for my personal tastes." The toes of her boots caught footing, propelling her up to her feet. "I'm assuming the special someone you've come here to abduct isn't me after all then, mm? Color me disappointed."
The zeltron packed the binoculars into her hip satchel and turned from the ledge, strutting across the rooftop with feline grace, hair swishing with the rock and sway of her stride. "Even still... you'll be delighted at what I've found for you, then. Come along." Crossing the roof, the skylights, and vents dotted across its face, she would lead him to the opposite side where her means of access lay- a grappling hook. Lithe digits plucked up the end of the line and wound it once about her forearm. "He's here. Beneath us. Has been for a few minutes now. You can thank me in a little while after all of this is sorted out." A wink flashed over her shoulder before she descended, rappeling herself back to the duracrete below with a twist of her hips and the plant of her boots against the wall.
Once at the bottom she addressed the brooding spectre yet again: "I do hope you've got a dazzling plan, seeing as how I've done so much of the heavy lifting already." That smile of hers was as goading as it was tempting and she aimed it right for his heart.
