SPECIAL FEATURES
- Very small missiles with very powerful payloads.
- Beehive: The RZR's standard payload consists of very small but very powerful missiles, and as such it has plenty of room for ammunition.
- Can Opener: The RZR's missiles each contain an infinitesimally-tiny grain of antimatter. On impact, they create a perfectly-spherical zone of destruction against which few armors can stand.
- Longarm: The Hellheart has an exceptionally long range, allowing vessels armed with it to sit back and threaten enemy vessels at exceptional distances.
- Slow-Fire: Given their sensitive payload, the launcher fires fairly slowly, and is best used as far from the enemy as possible.
- Containment Breach: Should the launcher itself be damaged, there is a chance it could prematurely detonate the antimatter, likely atomizing the turret and much of the attached ship for good measure.
Another deranged in-house weapon designed for use in Helix's droid fleets, the Hellheart utilizes similar design principals to Imperial Micromines. The default missile payload is a very tiny, but very quick missile housing a miniscule grain of antimatter in magnetic suspension. Under normal circumstances, these launchers are mounted on ships, but can be entrenched in ground emplacements as well, allowing them to serve as planetary defense batteries.
These missiles' small size allows the launcher to carry a great many of them, keeping up a slow but steady barrage of fire from long range. Despite their unassuming appearance, they are in fact quite powerful, leaving bizarre, perfectly-spheroid scars in surfaces they manage to strike. Few armors are any proof against such a nasty payload, and surviving enemy vessels often look as though parts of them were scooped or snipped from existence. They are effective against both capital ships and fighters, but the former are their preferred targets. They can be used for bombarding ground targets, but their indiscriminately-destructive nature ensures that other options are usually preferred.
This weapon excels at harassing armored targets from vast distances, but carries some hazards that wise captains would do well to be aware of. The launcher's rate of fire is somewhat slow, making it potentially unsuitable for fending off large numbers of smaller, quicker enemy craft.
Antimatter is not a safe thing to utilize at the best of times, and should one of these batteries be destroyed, the resultant ammunition cookoff will be spectacular to behold, likely carving a massive chunk from the attached vessel, if not destroying it outright.
