Orphen smiled at the amount of awkwardness that she seemed to be going through, he knew this particular cafe to be rather accomodating, they had all-sorts comme through here in these alliance worlds, Alderan especially was used to having to be pan-cultural, the beauty of the location made it a prime tourist destination so, most of them were used to people of all shapes, sizes and strange races, though, Kitty being a fully grown sentient tiger was something that they likely had not seen before. Though, they more than likely have had their fair share of Cathar... Though, as Orphen thought about the astranged race, he wondered if Kitty had ever met them. The Cathar were usually a neutral race, but, for the most part, their pride and strong honour system had led the few which had chosen sides in the war to usually side with the Jedi, much in the same capacity as the wookies.
So they sat, and Orphen could not help but laugh as Kitty got a little temperamental at the person serving them, thinking that somehow Orphen had trained kitty in any shape or form. As much as he should not have laughed, he couldn't help it, to him little things like that were rather funny. Similar things had happened with Korros, in being a small rabbit like creature as a Kushiban. But, as he continued to think of other races, he looked back to kitty and thought to himself once again, cocking his head to the side, wondering if their race had ever had dealings with the Cathar or the few other races like them.
"So, Kitty, I was wondering, I know your race are unique, I don't think I've ever heard of another people being able to shift their physical form into that of another animal without the use of the force. But... I was wondering If your race were related to the Cathar in any way... while you're in your more humanoid form, you do look strikingly similar. It was what I mistook you for originally in fact. Before evidence proved otherwise."
Orphen waited a moment as he waited for his food, luckily they were rather fast here, they had to be, as more and more customers came through the door as the booths were being filled and more orders were going out. Orphen reclined across his bench, kicking his legs up and leaning back so that he was more comfortable, looking over to his spouse attentively as he hoped there was a story to be had here. He could only imagine the interactions between the nobility of her race and the nobility of the Cathar... had they fought in the past? allied against common enemies, or perhaps they had never even heard of each other, and it was some kind of colossal galactic coincidence that the lion race and the tiger race had never met, fought, or loved before.
Orphen also loosely remembered that there were a larger cat-like species similar to the Cathar which were tiger-like, but their name escaped him at the time, as powerful as his memory was, the notation must have only been in passing, never having actually physically heard their name.
"Have the people of your race met with or done anything with any other of the felinous races in the galaxy i mean.?"
