I picked up my lightsaber which i'd dropped after my fall. I had no problem jumping up through the gaping hole. I had the force on my side. I opened the window and peered out into the streets. I could here foot steps coming to the house so I ducked behind a counter. A tall, fair-skinned man entered through the door. "Hey Craig, you in here? You missed Kaathi's speech, and that Jedi chick just walked out and we're gon..." He said, cutting short as he saw the hole in the floor. He peered down and gasped. Craig was laying in a pool of blood with half a sword stuffed into his rib cage. He pulled a pistol out and backed up towards the door. "Who's there? I know your in here scum." He yelled around the house. That was it. I wasn't scum. Thsi man was. I leaped out from my cover, lightsaber and all. He dropped his gaze to my hilt, and then back up the length of my blade. He shot 3 times. The first one whizzed past me and hit the wall. The second one bounced of my sword and into the window, sending glass jutting outwards into the streets. That would attract attention. I blocked the third one as well, this one went into a lamp, a gas lamp. I dove and pushed the man out of the house as the lamp exploded into a fireball. The house erupted into an inferno shortly after.

The house was surrounded with people, some trying to extinguish the flames and others recording videos. I carried the unconciouss man through the woods. My leg burst into pain every step. I looked down. My leg had been seared my the fire ball. I tripped and threw the man forwards. Whatever. I dug through my bag and pulled out my last syringe of Bacta. I uncapped the needle and jabbed it into my leg. The burn began to fade. It would be at least a few hours for the pain to lessen and the wound to heal. But i'd be fine. I turned around to see a gun at my forehead. I saw the man i'd grabbed at the other end. "Look sir, I have no problem leaving if that's what you want." I said with my hands u. I was completly calm. He grunted and I saw the pain in his eyes. I cringed as he pulled the trigger. The gun exploded in his hand and he fell backwards, his hand was red and cut, with shards ogf gun in his hand. He sreamed and kicked as I dragged him away towards my speeder. I was gonna get answers, no matter what.

As Evan hid, he noticed many of the guards' attentions began to turn to something going on elsewhere. He smelled smoke, even saw a plume nearby. What the kark is going on? Have the marines begun their assault, or is that girl being a fool and blowing her cover?

Forget it. She's a jedi. Maybe she'll come willingly since she cannot strike an opponent down who is not threatening them...

Evan stepped out from his cover and began to walk toward [member="Kail Myn"] and [member="Coren Starchaser"]. His hands were at his side, not holding any weapons. His blaster and lightsaber were holstered on his belt.

"Excuse me, Jedi. I'm looking for someone named Kail Myn. May I speak to her?" was all Evan said. Despite being allied to the Primeval, he was slightly more in tune with the Light side than the Dark after training with a rogue jedi knight.

Evan didn't know what his master planned to do with the young jedi padawan, but in order to get on her good side and learn more of the Dark side from her, he'd have to show her he meant business.

Lord Ajihad, disguised as a guard, was now posted on the makeshift wall surrounding the village. Starchaser was a little ways away, towards the other end of the settlement. His target was close by, talking to a villager. The local ran off, and obvious upsetness to his tone. The Jedi sat down, a troubled look etched upon her face. She sat down, obviously brooding on the confrontation. Perhaps the assassin could bring her peace of mind...
Ajihad pressed a button on his wrist, which would signal a Primeval squad to run across the path leading to village. As this happened, Ajihad would shout to the Jedi, "Hey, saber jockey, get over here! I think I saw something!" Hopefully, this would cause his target to run over, so he could spring his trap...

Everything seemed to have come at once. First there was an explosion, one of the homesteads had gone up in flames, then a Chiss approached them shortly after. Only a moment later was she once again distracted by a shout, clearly directed at herself. Kail's heart raced as her mind attempted to focus throughout the sensory overload. Her hand reached for the training lightsaber strapped to her side, if the Primeval had already begun their attack it was pointless for her to sit around and do nothing.

She had hoped it wouldn't have happened so soon.. She was completely unprepared, then she turned back to Coren. "Isn't it obvious? They're here for this world." The cold words barely found their way up her throat, she didn't want to believe any of it but it was true. The Primeval would stop at nothing until Bosph was theirs. If they fight back, the world might burn; if they don't they'll be slaughtered or worse.

Why is it that anytime choices are to be made, either one leads to an inevitably terrifying outcome? "..We need to evacuate." Yes, that was the only option they had left. Perhaps if they could mount a defensive that lasted long enough it'd give the people time to leave and find sanctuary elsewhere. The pain, sorrow, guilt, and fear began to subside as she collected herself. Finally she was able to see the Chiss before her more clearly, she could sense something off about him but not enough to raise doubts. "You shouldn't be out here, go help the militia prepare or find cover."

The small sphere gave a few binary clicks, a short hum, and the repulser lift fired. The S.W.O.R.D. lept into the air before Zenva, holding position nearly eye level with the Zabrak. A smile cut her sharp features as she stood to examine the small droid. "Very nice. Spherical Weaponized Operations & Reconnaissance Droid, I am your new owner. From this moment forward you will only respond to commands I issue. Additionally you are hereby assigned a new designation, Optics. Acknowledge."

The droid bobbed in the air for several moments before relying, "User parameters acknowledged. New designation logged."

The matron flashed a fierce grin before schooling her expression to neutrality once more. "Optics, follow behind me at a distance of one meter and a height of three meters until I provide new orders." She didn't wait to see if the droid obeyed, sometimes you just had to trust a machine to follow it's programming.

The Zabrak walked across the rally area, her gaze moving over those still trying to activate the droid they had been given. As she walked her gaze settled on a young boy, barely a teenager if she had to guess. The youth stood tossing a droid into the air again and again. Each time he spouted off some nonsensical comment. Up, up and away. Blast off. A few other youthfully foolish phrases. Clearly the youth didn't understand what he needed to do. Zenva cast a scowl at the soldier who had walked away, dismissing the poor lad, it was enough to cause her to interview.

She came to a stop a few feet in front of the youth, watching as he tossed the droid into the air again. "Youngling. Do you need help?"

There were very few things Coren Starchaser was going to ever respond to. He was trained that way. A former Imperial Dark Jedi, now a ranking member of the Underground Resistance. Unless he knew where he was, and what he was doing, he wasn’t going to be open to turning around for anything. “Then if they’re here for the world, they’ll have to go through us. It’s a bit of… work ahead of us.” Coren was the not-so-conventional Jedi. He had a lightsaber… somewhere, but for now? A light repeating blaster and shielded armor, that made up his arsenal.

Plus the Force and his creativity.

He had spent some time around the Aing-Tii, and that was going to help out, it’d give him a bit more mobility when he needed it, but mostly? He’d be shooting people and throwing blasts of energy intended to stun and disable. He knew what he was good at, what he wasn’t, and he was going to stick to his skills. “What do y’all have for shuttles? For transport?” Coren was going to fight to get the refugees out. They weren’t going to be living here.

Not with dark side power-games coming. He knew better than to deal with that. But it was still important, get the people free, the Underground, or the Sanctum could take them in. That didn’t matter. What mattered was that he might get to go after the Sith once more.

Why was that exciting to him?

Naga was with the assault on the village. He had hoped to run into this Jedi that was reported seen there how much he wanted to find her and let her feel his blade. Naga had quietly killed a soldier that was on a patrol and took his form and gear to fit in among est the others, He walked the patrol pattern of the soldier he was observing looking for any weak spots he could exploit. Ajihad rolled his eye from within the helmet. The other Primeval member was getting in the way of his operation. And it seemed the Jedi was now talking with Starchaser. Great. In order for his plan to work, he needed the Jedi on top of the wall. At this point, there wasn't too much he could do to get her over there. For now, he'd have to continue playing the part of the desperate guard. However, he would need to be more convincing...

There were two other guards on the front section of the wall with him. He seized control of their minds, and got them to join him in shouting for her attention. Perhaps the multiple voices calling out for help would stir her into action...

"We need you over here, miss!"

"I think I saw something!"

"Is it the Sith?"

If theirs commotion the jedi would no doubt not be far behind he went to a spot to ready a poison that will quickly kill the jedi in question should she make an appearance before continuing his trek to Ajihads location, adrenaline poured through his veins for the anticipation and hope of fighting a jedi.

Across from the village from another direction opposite of those occupied by [member="Lord Ajihad"]'s forces, a contingent of Primeval Soldiers and their young lead were approaching their targets. Ahead of the soldiers was a young woman dressed in a long dark tunic that revealed glimpses of her black armor below, while a long cloak cascaded from her shoulders. Bright red eyes set into a pale face stared down the path in an emotionless gaze. This woman was the new apprentice to Warlord [member="Zambrano the Hutt"] and the daughter of the Imperial Warlord of the One Sith Darth Hauntruss. She had been sent to Primeval as a gift to be molded to face her destiny.

And her first test, set by her new master, was to show her level of ability in putting into practice what she had learned.

In her meditations, the dark side bubbled. As the offspring of one of the darkest beings, next to the Dark Lord and his Eye, Grimoire was in tune with the darkness of the world and she called it to be her eyes. She was new to the tennants of the Riftborne, of opening the eyes of the blind, but soon enough she would master both the light as well. For now she relied on the early teachings of her master and the training of her dark mother.

Villagers emerged from the far end of the woods, the soldiers twitched their guns forward. Grimoire, void of any reaction, raised a hand and gestured them to lower their weapons. Slowly the Riftborne Initiate strolled to the group, which comprised of two men and two women, a family.

The family of villagers began to recoil and the son gestured to flee. Grimoire, glared down at the boy. Saying nothing she raised her finger over lips signing a "hush" and shook her head slowly.

"That would be very unwise boy." Grimoire hissed. "You can run as fast as you like, but the power I control runs faster than you do."

"Who are you!" The eldest man growled.

"Enlightenment." Grimoire said. "You are blessed with the choice of receiving my gift or suffering the consequences of ignorance. I am sent by Sargon, by his aspect Balgoth, to open your eyes. In simple terms...peasant...I am your chance at survival. Compliance would be wise."

The elder man glared at Grimoire as she came closer and closer, to the point she was an arms length from his wife. Red eyes cut past the tension and plunged right into the man's heart. The powers of the darkside followed. The man relented.

Grimoire smiled. "Good." she whispered. "Now, if only the rest of your compatriots knew reason, this would have gone better for them hmm?"

"Lieutenant, have two of your men escort these people to our base, see to it they are treated nicely. They are new disciples to the word of Sargon." said Grimoire.

Passing the group she waved her arm for the rest to follow. Marching out of the woods she was now in plan sight, moving from behind the village in a pincer against the rest of the village.

"The rest however, are harboring agents who wish to dissolve our existence." Grimoire hissed in a venomous spat. An attitude derivative of her vile mother. Her right hand outstretched the force pulled her mother's lightwhip which had killed so many to her grip. Snap, Hiss. A red serpent bloomed from her hilt. "Find me the Jedi sympathizers. Kill the rest!"

Grimoire lept through the force and her dark fingers in the void stretched out in search of light. She hissed into the force's void.

"You cannot hide, foes of Sargon."

Militia forces hid in the treeline just outside of the settlement, although it didn't offer much cover it could still deliver the element of surprise should the enemy fail to pick them up on any sensors. Taking that risk, the citizen soldiers fired their weapons along the Primeval flank, aiming to take down as many troops as possible before retreating to their secondary point the moment a counter-attack is launched. Their goal was simple: buy time for the evacuation procedures.

Back to Kail. "We don't have much, but--" "we have two shuttles, and a freighter... That's it, and they're about 300 meters behind the settlement." The militiaman interrupted, his eyes darting to Evan who seemed awfully quiet and unhelpful before returning to Coren.

Kail clenched her fist but said nothing, visibly she was upset. The blonde haired, young woman seemed rather out of place. She wore an ivory, sleeveless shirt, with cream leggings, brown boots decorated with three golden buttons along the sides, and two decorative feather pins holding her hair back. Most would think her a city girl, but the poor-mannered padawan showed no signs of being civilized. Just about when her frustration was going to show, her grayish blue eyes turned towards the sound of blaster fire in the distance.

Her stomach hurt in anxiety, "It's begun." Her frightened gaze did not remove itself from the direction of battle.

"We need you here miss!"

Only those words distracted her, now there was talk of Sith too. She looked to Starchaser, "They've gotten in this far, we can't just sit around and do anything." She ran off in the direction of Ajihad without waiting for Coren to follow.

I threw the man against my speeder and put my boot on his chest. "I don't think you realize what is going on!" He coughed as I pushed my foot in harder. "I know exactly what I'm doing you karking oaf! I'm going to kill that jedi, but first, I need her location." I said, grinning wildly and whipping out my lightsaber.

"you're not getting anything from me bi...." He cut off as I began to choke him with the force. I let go and lopped his head off with my orange blade. "Nighty night." I chuckled as I stepped over his corpse and on to the speeder. Know I just had to find the jedi.

Thanks Sargon, the Jedi was finally coming over to him. Any longer, and he might have had to take the more direct approach, which wouldn't be ideal, given the environment. As Kail moved towards the wall, he discreetly looked beyond the wall for suitable cover. He spotted a boulder several meters from the makeshift wall, and decided that would be his cover.

As the lightsider walked up to him, he subtly pressed a small button on his wrist. This would signal all the Primeval forces to begin their assault, hopefully giving him cover as he hatched his plan. It would take a few seconds for the attack to begin, and the assassin would take advantage of the time he had. He pointed to a spot in the woods, as he muttered, "Look, over there..." As he raised his hand, the paralysis needle emerged from within his sleeve. It was tiny, hardly noticeable. He moved to poke it into the back of her neck, and hopefully inject the fast-acting poison. If the small attack succeeded, the the assassin would move to tackle her off the small wall. They would land near the end of the boulder, and he would then pull them to cover behind it. Then, hopefully his support would come...

Naga saw [member="Kail Myn"] and started to make his way over there he had his hidden blade ready to go for his strike. He hoped he could get the first strike quickly on this jedi without too much difficulty but better to except the worst rather then the best given the current situation. His predatory instincts kicked in despite his disguise but he kept enough of his composure to maintain the guise, He had to maintain the guise other wise hed have the entire village on him within moments and ruin what ever plans where in motion... that was something hed rather not have happen.

Military moves. That was something Coren knew. It wasn’t like he was the best Force user, and far from a Jedi, but trying to just exist with the Force and not concerning with the morality? That made it easy. He’d be the type to hold off attacks so the others could get away, but sometimes holding off attacks meant using lightning. It was effective, don’t even try to knock it.

Besides, this new generation of Sith were more interested in the reach-around than actually getting above their rivals.

Right, two shuttles, a freighter, the ShortFin was off to the side, but she could be used to give them cover. Coren nodded, inexplicably to his astromech. When the time was right, the droid would initiate the return to the ship, get her started and meet up. But it wasn’t until he knew that he had the attention of everyone. Grabbing aggro.

He heard Kail get called away. Looking back to the militiamen, he nodded. “Load your ships up. Its time to leave. All that you can carry, organics first. Take what you need, destroy that which you can’t take. Go.” He ordered as he grabbed his scattergun and checked the shield on his armor. Time to get to work, it seemed.

Kail ran up the barricade and onto the wall, looking down at where these Sith were supposed to be. At first she was entirely unaware of the assassin's quiet movements, but the force had a way of warning you of impending dangers. This subtle intuition told her to turn around and without much notice she saw the man reaching out with some sort of needle. Without hesitation, the young Jedi reached out to grab his wrist and hold back whatever device he was trying to prick her with.

During the struggle, though, he managed to tackle the woman off the wall. "Ah!" She yelped, feeling weightless momentarily before she crashed into the rough soil three meters below, knocking the wind out of her in the process as her body rolled off to the side.

Pushing herself up was a challenge on its own, her eyes widened in panic as her lungs failed to capture any oxygen, forcing her to cough violently until they worked.

Naga was so close to getting to her when he saw the struggle, One of his allies no doubt tried to attack her, He thought. It mattered not what mattered was that the ally who ever that is may require some assistance in dealing with the young jedi. So he pursued still in his disguise following the tumbling jedi until she landed down at the bottom, Naga simply landed behind her and ran over to her. He prepared a blade and went over to asist [member="Lord Ajihad"].

The assassin was surprised as the young Jedi halted his attack. Force precognition... he should have accounted for that. However, he had to work with what he had. As she grabbed his wrist, he still managed to transform the attack into a tackle, sending them both off the barricade wall. He twisted his body as they fell, so that when they landed, he would land on top of her. All 170 pounds would crush her as they hit the ground, hopefully crippling her ability to fight.

Just then, the cavalry arrived. The Marine Corps launched their attack, and immediately began invading the village a bomber flew overhead, and began destroying the village's small launchpad. The town's front gate was blown open, and a few AT-FAT walkers stormed in. However, they did not open fire on the villagers. They simply guarded the exit, making sure nobody escaped. More walkers began to surround the township, rapidly cutting off the exits. Infantrymen began to flood into the village, one wielding a megaphone. "People of Bosph. Surrender to the forces of the Primeval, and most of you will be spared and continue living in your town. If you fail to adhere, this town and everyone in it will be obliterated. Those of you who wish to be spared, please conglomerate in the town square."

In the meantime, Ajihad was trying to incapacitate the Jedi. The fall had shaken him, but his quarry had absorbed most of his fall. Although she was holding on to his arm, he used his impressive physical strength to try and push the needle downwards toward her neck. Meanwhile, his other arm would pin her's to the ground. Hopefully, he could overpower her into submission...

Cults, are among the most powerful social gathers that have ever been conceived. The Sith were a cult. The witches of Dathomir could be considered a cult... even the Jedi, must have started out as a collection of cult followers to their blind pursuit of enlightenment. Thus, in this way, Zambrano had been apart of many different cults, leaving him to be the most knowledgeable of them and their operations. As a Jedi Healer, his ritual was the mending of wounds. As a Jedi Lord, his ritual was the mending of nations. As a Spirit, his ritual was the mending of his legacy. As a new man, his ritual was torment and isolation... but there was also something else within that era of his life that had been lost to time in the blur of his time as the "Sickness of the Valley" just after that.

Long ago, on the world from which Harma Chael had ruled since the fall of civilization at the outbreak of terrorist Zero's Gulag Plague, there resided an insidious cult following, hidden deep within the forests, practicing black magick's. They were descendants of Witches that had become stranded and marooned upon this world for generations, after mysteriously departing from Dathomir by unknown means... "on the back of the Winged Goddess" they would say. It was through this magick, of arcane occult rituals, that Harma Chael's Grandson was ensnared in the dark side, taken hostage by the malevolent forces at work under the cultists. Soon, the identity his descendant held to him evaporated, as he was consumed by his prison of villainous magicks, too weakened by the darkness to fend off against it... even his own father was not strong enough to free him, and for it he died at his sons hands. Soon, only the spirit of Harma Chael was in the path of his corrupted descendant, and in seeking power, sought to bind him to his power. The critical error in judgement did not account for the growing grief in the supposedly transcendent ghost, and the two experienced an unnatural fusion of identity... the first keystone to the bridge of insanity that would become of Chael's life.

Dark, bloody, occult rituals filled the mind of the resurrected Harma Chael, in the body of his descendant, carried over from the twisted mind of the cultist that had been his Grandson. After slaughtering the cult single single-handedly through the dark side, the deepening grief and misery of Harma Chael compounded over the decades the remained of his new abominable life. He sequestered himself away, and relied on his will power to resist the underlying temptations to the occult rituals locked away inside of his possessed mind... but inevitably, eventually, failed to totally resist in the draw of its power. Once more, the former Jedi Healer found him a position most unnatural for him, and began to practice in the black magicks of Darthomir... maddened by this irreverence to the lightside, eventually in the midst of a ritual, he killed himself... sending him into the void to search for a new host unwittingly.

In the immediate after math of this event, decades would pass between worlds, and decades more would pass when unqualified hosts would be taken, and disposed of quickly in the madness of hunger the specter had gained in the void. Minutiae details such as the second incarnation of Harma Chael practicing in not just the dark arts, but more specifically in the black magicks of an occult following, were lost in the haze of a constant cycle of new bodies insufficient in containing his spirit for too long. Such had been totally forgotten in subsequent incarnations...

Until Zambrano had mentally died, and a merging of minds occurred within the twisted corridors of the Black Prophet. The coherency of thought, and the unification of personality had generated a new incarnation of Zambrano the Hutt, different in every way to the one that galaxy had become accustomed too. Although his sanity was lacking, his logic had been restored... at least in so far as being logical enough to reason with faith being the basis of his argument. Additionally, though he held not lack for blood thirst, now his thirst was tactical, his thirst was not random but purposeful, differentiating from the simple need to induce pain in others as a means of releasing one's curiosity and desires. He remained totally in the realm of psychopathy... but now the nature of his thoughts turned from malevolent ignorance... into sinister intention.

Sinister intention, was indeed the prime reason for the Warlord of the Rift had come here: to convert with blood, and to make that which is blind undone, to see the truth of Sargon in all the bloody glory of Balagoth. The hovering Throne of the new Witch Elder mobilized around the ruins of the abandoned dig site, and cold blue eyes stared deeply into every crevice...

Now he could sense it, the superfood known as Kail was in trouble. (Take that, California) but no, now to be serious. He felt the pain, there asn’t much in the Force he could feel, not the finer emotions, not thoughts, but struggles? Massive emotions? Massive bursts of the Force? That bit he could feel. Living Force, not unifying. Neutral side, but there were people in danger. The village needed someone to lead them out of here. Was he that person? No. Coren was a man who would forever exist as a ghost, someone who came in, did their thing, but faded away. My name is Max, my world is fire and blood. There was always a man in black, fleeing across the desert, and he was going to follow.

Scattergun and armor’s shielding ready, he made his way toward where he felt the burst from Kail. Pulling the Force around him in a blanket, it was one thing he could manage without the emotions fueling his skills, without pulling into something bigger, something more than he was.

The Force, never leave home without it.

There was someone falling after where Kail was. He hit the ground. “Get down!” He shouted to Kail, training his blaster scatter gun, from a range of a good 2 dozen meters or so, at Ajihadi and firing. If he scattered the man against the wall, great, if he gave him pause, that was fine too. The infantry showed up. Coren watched the villagers. Right, the dark side, or the army? Great choices.
