Sacking of Coruscant[OOC]

[member="Varro Shatterstar"] - I may have pressed a big button labeled 'Do Not Press'.... In my defense, I thought it was the StimCaf machine... I got REALLY turned around and mistook the Defense Control Room for the Cafeteria.

Was it a big RED button?

I get it, buttons are hard to resist, but red buttons? No one can resist a big RED button.

[member="Trask"] If my post wasn't legal I can redo it, if you'd like. I tried to play it sneakily, probing the character, taking the angle out in the middle of the street so he'd be tighter towards the buildings -- less area for Six-O to plot evasion routes. And of course was waiting for when it'd be shown that his armor actually is blaster-proof. I don't know that I portrayed that well enough though.

Pretty much the only illegal stuff is calling hits (stating that one of your attacks hits me before I do), and metagaming. So far you're fantastic at avoiding both.

Phew, that was a hard one, man :) really had to think on it. Hope my retort was OK.

Interesting... Though how did Six negate the electrical aspect of the maser beam? The plating may be able to redirect the primary portion of the blast (that's debatable given that a lightsaber can't deflect it, but I'm not interested in going down that road right now. Lol), but any contact with metal generates an electrical charge at the point of impact. It wouldn't be anything big, but it should be at least enough to get noticed.

Because the official wookieepedia doesnt say a maser-beam has any added electrical aspect? And while it also states that it's not clear if the microwave aspect of an actual real world maser is present in the charric beam, I did make it a point to say that the kinetic energy damaged the reflective plating to such a degree that it could not be used again.

If I'm fighting wrong, please let me know lol. The whole point of jumping in was to get experience and pointers :)

It's actually in the Charric article.

Charrics fired a blue beam sometimes described as a maser-guided particle discharge. By delivering both kinetic and thermal energy, the charric, like the blaster rendered most ceramic and polymer-based armors ineffective, but unlike the blaster caused an electric shock upon contact with metallic armors.
And as I said, I'm not contesting the deflection. Especially now that it seems their inability to be deflected is in question due to something in Survivor's Quest.

I'm cool with none. I was more just curious about why it wasn't referenced, because it's not the kind of thing a character like yours would overlook. At most, I'd imagine it would cause minor damage to wiring and slow down the hand a little, making him more wary of doing that in the future with the other hand, but it's entirely up to you. Given his particular precautions against electrical damage, it definitely wouldn't do any damage beyond the hand itself, if it even does any there.

Well, he overlooked it because I didn't know about :p So it's me that failed Six-O, not Six-O that failed. I'm a sportsman though, is this not what combat is about? We can say for another three turns he's having issues with that hand -- clearly he needs to run a thorough diagnostic on his operating systems, returning from Otherspace, and the time spent lost on the fringe has made him soft and weak as an organic.

Actually works out better that way, anyhow. He's working with some pretty antique gear by the Galactic norm of the communities timeline. He'll need upgrades.

Lol. Indeed it is. Though I'll leave all the damage-calling on Six in your more than capable hands.

I do have to say though, I am really enjoying this interaction. I may have to start another character who can work with Six rather than against him.
