Salvage Of A Lifetime

As the crew of the ship prepared for their various roles, Jai sat in his quarters, reviewing the plan. [member="Roach"] and HK-58 would Stand guard, while [member="Myles Vylumnar"], [member="Kei Garnik"], [member="Noriko Ike"] and he would be the main salvage crew. Under normal circumstances, they wouldn't require a guard, but these mynocks are dangerous. As they entered Hyperspace, Jai motioned for his droid, HK-58. The droid willingly came to him, awaiting his order. "Is it required of me to kill something, master?" "Not now, H. Just grab me some Tarisian Ale. That stuff's been sitting in our storage for what, four centuries now?"

As HK returned with the ale, Jai practically knew something bad was going to happen. Something he couldn't control. He knew...

Myles was never really one to piggyback on someone else's ship, after all, that's what his ship was for. However, he'd make an exception this time. It'd been a while since he'd had a break from action. For the past while, he'd either been shooting something, or something was shooting him. Another salvage job was probably what he needed to relax a little and keep the credits rolling in. He also needed a break from Kaz, who would constantly stink up the place and complain about every little thing.

Myles sat back, spinning around in a swivel-chair reminiscent of the one he had in his own ship. He'd taken a job from some guy, [member="Jai Katan"]. He didn't really know who this guy was, nor did he really care. There was also another two who tagged along, [member="Kei Garnik"] and [member="Noriko Ike"]. Myles assumed they'd also been hired, but he couldn't really tell. He could tell, however, that [member="Roach"] was a regular member of this ship's crew by the way he and Jai spoke to each other. There was also an HK unit, who he assumed was also part of the crew.

"Where are we headed again? What's the salvage?"

Roach

Roach sighed as he looked at his hunting rifle. The snowboarder loved adventure, that's why when [member="Jai Katan"] asked him to help out on a scavenging mission Roach had no choice but to accept. The teen looked down at his appearance. He wore his most of his snowgear, consisting of heavy boots and pants. His normal snow jacket had been left back on Ando Prime. The teen figured it wouldn't be needed. Hanging nicely on the teen's belt was his Ice-Axe. The pick went with him everywhere, it was important in any combat situation.

Roach smiled as he leaned against a wall in Jai's quarters. Apparently he along with others had been contracted to scavenge from an asteroid field.

[member="Myles Vylumnar"], one of the guys contracted was sitting in a swivel chair. He asked where were they heading and what were they salvaging. The man looked only a bit older than Roach. Seemed fairly experienced in combat.

"Tartistian Ale...That stuff'll kill ya... " He joked, the truth was, Gavin knew nothing about drinking he was too busy being outdoors to actually care.

Roach put his hands in his pocket and looked to the droid.

As Myles asked his question, Jai looked up and said, "The Silken Asteroids. They're right outside the Quenec Sector. Nearest planet's Asop. The haul's a YT-1300. Sound special? It shouldn't. The reason it is is because it was carrying a shipment of Kyber Crystals. Those can make a man rich. Of course, it is mainly surrounded by flying space-rocks and flying, ship-eating Mynocks."

As Roach made his remark on the Ale, Jai scoffed in friendly dissent. "You may die, but at least ya die happy!"

Kyber Crystals... It seemed like those were all the craze these days... For the past ten-thousand years. It was reasonable why they'd be so valuable, but after such a while you have to imagine someone would've created something better. Regardless, a job is a job, and a job that pays well is not a job that Myles will pass up.

"Mynocks... Asteroids... Sounds like easy cheese. I guess this is just another in n' out?" he asked. It would sort of sound like he'd have previous experience in salvaging, and he had a casual tone. However, no one knew better than Myles that a simple job like this could go South in the blink of an eye.

Asop... That was a familiar name. He'd been on Asop before, digging through some Jedi ruins. That was probably where the Kyber Crystals came from. But now, the question was: What happened to the ship's crew?
