Same city, new begining.

Nokomis bit her lip and nodded slightly before grabbing Alex's hand and pointing down the street before trying to drag the much older (and heavier) woman away with her. The orphanage the little Zorren lived in was only a few blocks away. The two of them wanted to see where she lived, so maybe they had to come to help her? Her tail wagged a bit as she tried to drag Alex down the street. [member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"] [member="Darth Tsolan"]

Vulpesen chuckled as she started to drag Alex along and went to follow the girls. "She certainly seems quite attached to you Alex." He flicked his tail and walked on, placing his hands in the sleeves of his robes, his fingers lightly touching the hilts of his daggers as he walked on. "I wonder what this one's story is."

Alex felt herself pulled and suddenly found her legs working on their own as the girl kept pulling and Vulpesen laughed. She followed the girl though, paying no heed to where she was leading alex, but alex was there to make sure this girl did not get hurt on the way there or worse, there itself. Maybe she was just paranoid but she could have sworn Vulpesen had said it took a great trial that was normally dangerous or hard on the zorren... and for this child to have it so young is not right.

Nokomis dragged Alex to the orphanage and immediately dropped her hand when she noticed the 'caretaker' standing in the doorway. Nokomis let out a small whimper of fear as the dark-haired woman standing in the door way came walking towards her. She felt herself being dragged away from Alex by her arm and whined again.

"Stop running away you selfish brat! You have chores to do just like every other stupid child here!" Nokomis often wondered how this woman ended up being put in charge of a bunch of kids. She had seen other kids with their families a few times, and they were never treated the way Nokomis and the other kids were. [member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"] [member="Darth Tsolan"]

A small growl escaped Vulpesen's throat and he stepped forward. The force was amazing like that. For those who were unfamiliar with it, a moment of them not seeing you, might make it seem like you've teleported. He quickened his pace and found himself at the woman's side in an instant, his hand on her shoulder and his nails digging lightly into her skin. "I don't think she wants to go." He kept his voice, calm, polite, and quiet. But under the surface, a malevolence could slightly be heard. The kinda that came with practice among the most ruthless of sith.

Alex smiled, and while Vulps attacked the woman Alex came up beside him and removed his hand from her and her hand from Nokomis before staring at the woman's eyes. For a brief moment Alex said nothing, and it would seem as the woman herself was puzzled and fuming at what Vulps had done to her shoulder and Alex for pulling Nokomis out of her hand. But then finally her eyes went wide and Daeda poked his head out of Alex's robes again, even getting away from her for the moment as if someone would look at Alex's eyes they would see the return of all too familiar golden flecks, her face hardening as the woman started crying out for Alexandra to stop.... which she would, after another whole minute before Hel was pushed back down and the flecks disappeared. "Turn yourself in now, and i wont have to return, and if you harm another innocent soul with your hands, you will lose them... Vulps were leaving, and miss Nokomis... yes, i know your name, I think you would have a better home with me and my friend." She looked down at the girl, her smile back and features normal.

Nokomis nodded and clung to Alex's leg. She his her face in the skirt of Alex's robe and stayed there. She whined softly, the only sign that she was crying as she clung to the pregnant woman. All Nokomis ever wanted was to get out of the orphanage and Alex and Vulpes had saved her. The little Zorren had no idea how to thank them, or how to handle the intense emotions flowing through her. Vulpesen's serious face faded once he saw the torture on the woman's mind, replaced by worry and a tinge of horror. Still, it didn't take long for him to accept the need for the action and thus he waited patiently until Hel was re-bottled into Alex's mind. Lifting his hand up, he patted the woman's shoulder, taking a bit of pleasure in her terrified flinching. "I trust you know she's serious. And next time, you deal with both of us." He gave a small wink and turned back, placing his arm around Alexandra. "Shall we be off?"

"Yes, lets leave, im done with Coruscant..." She sighed and pulled her hood up and tight around her, Daeda going up onto Nokomis' shoulder while Alex walked with her cloak around Nokomis' shoulder as well. Her eyes did fall to the ground though, shame showing in them at letting Hel do what she did, even if what she had done was to protect the other children under that woman's char it was the wrong way to handle it... probably the only way though past physically doing harm.

Nokomis kept on her on Alex's robes as she walked. She was clinging the silver haired woman out of a sense of comfort more than anything else. Something about the woman was extremely calming and she smiled a bit as she walked. She did wonder why the woman's stomach was so big. The little Zorren had never seen a pregnant woman before, so she was extremely confused. She kept staring at the older woman's bulging stomach, trying to figure out what was wrong with her. Vulpesen let out a small laugh and flicked his tail, watching the two girls infront of him. Following Nokomis Arkay's gaze, he noticed her fascination with Alexandra's belly. It didn't take long for him to realize the reason behind the puzzled glance and thus he sent a small message to Alexandra through their Ashlan link. Think we should tell her why it looks like you ate a huttlet whole?

She smiled and glanced at Vulpesen, sending a reply back as she feigned ignorance, looking at the far end of the street and seemingly ignoring the girl's staring at her stomach. Go ahead Vulps, though make sure i don't get annoyed by your explanation, hate to see her witness me slapping you upside the head for saying i eat babies for breakfast.

Nokomis seemed oblivious to the two's silent conversation as she continued to watch Alex's stomach. She kept raising her hand to touch it briefly and then pulling her hand back and doing it again. Much like an animal would paw at an unknown object. At one point she rested her hand against the silver-haired woman's belly and felt something bump against her hand. Nokomis jerked her hand away as if it had been burned and looked up at Vulpes and Alex fearfully. [member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"] [member="Darth Tsolan"]

Vulpesen let out a small laugh as he saw the jerk, placing a hand lightly on the young zorren's head. "She has a baby in her. And no, she didn't eat it. Babies grow in their mother's belly's before they come out." He didn't know if the words would scar the child, if they would make sense, all he knew was that it was an explanation. Considering he was nerfs and other animals giving birth by the age of five, and was helping by the time he was thirteen, such a thing was never much news to him.

Nokomis's eyes grew wide and she stared at Vulpes like her had just told her the sky was made of kittens and the ground was actually pink. She looked back at Alex's belly and poked it again. She didn't feel a kick this time so she pressed her palm flat against the woman's belly. After a few minutes something hit her palm again and she smiled. She looked up at Alex, still wide eyed and confused, but with a large grin on her face now. [member="Darth Tsolan"] [member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"]

Vulpesen smiled, relieved that the child didn't go screaming in terror or calling Alexandra some sort of cannibal. "Better than my first explanation. Zarro was a breeder..." For the sake of Nokomis, he left the rest to Alex's imagination as to what the old fox had told him. Of course, Vulpesesn never held it against the old Amaran. After all, he did a great job of raising Vulpesen despite being a single father who never had any child before... and with his one child being very little like his own species.

"Right, im going to have to confront Zarro on how he teaches kids." She smiled, holding nothing against the fox and watching the little girl continously touch and poke at Alex's stomach. She found it interesting, and Alex couldn't resist a smile from growing just that little bit wider and her eyes even came to look at the girl before putting a hand on her head. "Having fun?"

Nokomis nodded and clung to Alex's leg again. Her hand was still resting against Alex's belly, but the baby had stopped kicking, so she let her arm fall to her side again. She looked up at Vulpes again and smiled slightly. He was scary, but he didn't seem like he wanted to hurt her. The little girl tried to ask where they were going to go now, but as usual all the came out was a squeak and a slight choking noise, as if she was trying to speak but couldn't. [member="Darth Tsolan"] [member="Alexandra Lianne Feanor"]

He placed a hand gently on her head and continued to walk, once again noticing her inability to speak, though the question would be fairly obvious due to their situation. "Well, we were thinking that perhaps you could come with us. I'm not sure how nice the rooms were back there, but I'm sure we can provide better care."
