- Description: The Sanjin Planetary Defence Force is the primary defence force of Sanjin, consisting of a fleet and no army as Sanjin is a gas giant making an army useless. Instead infantry and ground war is handled by marines who are a direct part of the navy. The navy had previously fallen into disrepair and corruption but with the recent power change new vessels have been brought in and the planetary defence force retrained. Now the defence fleet is a force to be reckoned with.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The defence fleet has for a long time acted as the defenders of Sanjin, dating back to the days of when Sanjin was merely a corporate mining project. With the planet now having its own people and culture the defence force defends it and its government from any threat, and from recent events that includes itself. Before the Optimatiums took power the fleet had degraded to its all time low under Mitt Dodt. It was using ships from the last century and many of its members were common thugs, loyal to corrupt government officials. They extorted independent miners, enforced high tax laws and many other deeds to financially advance the corrupt governor. However not all of its members were governor lackeys and some still served out of honour for their home world. Many of these individuals joined the Optimatium Party and soon they laid out a plan to overthrow the government while not drawing attention to themselves. A silent uprising which started with the 'disappearance of corrupt officials'. Not even the governor was spared and soon the party was in control, forming a new government. With the rise of a pro-military power the defence force saw a massive funding shift. Heavy cruisers and assault frigates replaced the degrading defence force ship. The fleet was reorganised as well into 3 commands, each serving their own purpose. Zero Command serves as the home fleet and is the largest of the fleetThe Defence Force now proudly serves once more, under a new banner.
