Sannika Brynn

Sannika Brynn

Let me tell you about a Rebellion...
Name: Sannika Brynn
Faction: The Rebel Alliance
Rank: Lieutenant (Rogue 4)
Species: [Tukian] Twi’lek
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Height: 149 cm
Weight: 42.8 kg
Eyes: Magenta
Hair: N/A
Skin: Yellow-green
Force-sensitivity: None

Birthplace: Esseles
Parents: Venchiri Brynn & Fifina Lyritt

Description:
Sannika is very short in stature and of small build, making her rather lightfooted and agile but also more fragile. Having moderately sized lekku has its advantages for silent communications and for just being attractive--depending on the observer’s tastes, of course--however, they are also her most vulnerable assets. Such is the Twi’lek tradeoff. Various sporty tattoos adorn her body, one of which is a rather obvious Rebel Alliance bird on her right shoulder.

The Tukian is knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of starcraft. She has logged more hours than many pilots by now, though some would still argue she is not a mature flyer quite yet.

Her personality is most often spunky and even a little loud, being quite the cheerleader brimming with team spirit and dance moves, but she is very shy up close and personal. She is generous and hospitable to the squadron pilots and often brings them snacks. Her temperament is very calm and patient but she is not afraid to speak her mind when it comes to orders. Her loud mouth can get her on third shift a lot.

Sannika is certainly young and inexperienced in the adult world, though that may quickly be remedied in the Navy. She does not like physical contact and is afraid of the dark--but apparently not of endless voids.

Biography:
Sannika was born at primetime on Esseles. Raised by her father after her parents divorced, the Twi’lek girl had an otherwise ordinary life, hanging out at the malls; learning some sweet dance moves; learning to play the siren whistle; watching holotoons and listening to the usual war propaganda. Life was good. Her father was a former minor league bolo-baller who turned to a career in construction after a knee injury took him out of the sport. He became a bit of an alcoholic after his wife left but he was nothing but good to his only daughter. He was her hero.

Construction work was just not something she saw in her future, however. But she loved bolo-ball and all that jazz. She was a speedy and formidable sportswoman but her tiny build just never was cut out for showtime ball. After graduating secondary school, Sannika skipped university and enlisted into the Republic Navy straight away. Late night war movies with dad romanticized the military. And space, of course, is the final frontier.

Sannika could never really make it in the Republic military. She was deemed too small for heavy work and too inexperienced for piloting, and was subsequently relegated to flight deck duties. She enjoyed her work there all the same, but went looking into other avenues for becoming a pilot.

After hearing of the fall of Coruscant, Sannika realized just how frustrated she was, disappointed and feeling like she could have done something to save the planet if she had been a pilot. Desperate to accomplish her dream, she got lucky and chanced upon a member of the upstart Rebel Alliance, a faction hidden in the shadows that was on the forefront of a private operation to dismantle the Sith government on Coruscant and believed in making a statement for freedom. They did not care about her size or flight experience. They were willing to make accommodations for her and get her in a craft with a little training. She soon found herself flying with Rogue Squadron. She was on her way to fulfilling a dream!

Led by her soon-to-be good friend [member="Juwiela Melec"], Sannika started to get a hang of how things worked in the Alliance--meaning, how things just happened and somehow turned out alright without everyone getting killed. It took a while for the upstart squadron to get into the groove, but in due time they would become a tight-knit and certifiably elite group of fighter pilots. Sannika flew scout missions and hit-and-fade bombing runs initially, and then gained heavy--and grim--experience in full-fledged combat over both battles of Geonosis as close air support, witnessing the worst of the horrors of war. They happened too fast for her to quite understand, however, and the impact was lost on her until her next call to action.

Csilla was where she began to doubt her role in the galaxy. A rare mission on foot led to some close and personal fighting, where she first truly understood how merciless war was from all sides. Previously, she had been safe and secure from her cockpit, bombing structures and beings without having to look them in the eyes. But now she wondered if the acts of violence she committed were truly noble, or if she was just another contributor to a major problem in the universe.

All that doubt was quickly cast aside, though, when the call to return to Coruscant came. In the sky with Juwiela--as usual--she saw just how willingly the Sith were in destroying innocent lives just to be rid of their enemies. It was the final event that solidified her confidence in her role and the Rebellion's cause, and changed her view on war to what some might call much too jubilant--even frightening--exuberance. No longer did she feel guilty for slaying hundreds below her feet. Now it was a game. The twi'lek even began counting her victories with tattooed kill tallies on her lekku, racking up 'points' in each battle and raid. The Sith had unleashed an enthusiastically unapologetic, vengeful enemy.

Well... we are Space Romans in full glory. From enslaved criminals to crucifixions, and military conquest to political/economic bribery, we are an expansionist people. You can check it out in the Factions :)

Sadly, that sounds like something we would... not appreciate. :p Might be knocking on your door with some napalm bombs soon enough!

Most of our members are either pro-Republic/democracy, socialist (one or two are even communist and unimaginably anti-imperial), or just people who want to destroy the Sith and bad guys in general.

We are a Imperialist Republic. We expand when we need to, treat those we conquer fairly, and only enslave or crucify the worst of criminals, traitors, or war criminals. And if you drop some napalm, be prepared to watch as we march on your cities in the thousands and use weapons considered inhumane. Especially since you napalm'd us like dat.

Nerve gas and orbital bombardment ftw.

We don't own any worlds. We just climbin' in yo window and blowin' yo people up.

My other character, [member="Krasnaya Xue"], will probably have something to say about that orbital bombardment thing. She doesn't take too kindly to that.

We don't normally invade others, unless they are Sith, or are in a weakened state, such as civil war. Hey, its kinda a good thing to invade during a civil war or some other political strife, since we give conquered people the same rights as born citizens.

Unlike the Sith... Bleh!

Besides, if you would read the Description of Senatus Populasque Imperium, you would see why they are so expansionist. They went through a lot of crap in their four century long history.

And orbital bombardment is considered a siege breaker, or to eliminate HVTs that a ground assault would not work against, such as highly fortified secret bases.
