Private Saved from boredom [Dominic Shiro]

Without much else to do, the wolf gradually began to sleep. Hoping that when he awoke, he could find a way off this rock. And take her with him. Who knows, maybe he could meet the parents she seems to speak highly of. But for now. The night was only young. And the journey tomorrow, would more than likely, be miles on top of miles.

Okami slowly let himself go after that thought. And his mind laid to rest with his body.

Neli Neli

Neli eventually drifted off. There were no dreams to dream really, not that she could remember at least. She woke up a few times, before finally going back to sleep. When she finally woke up she found herself gripping the hilt of her lightsaber, she loosened her grip, making sure there wasn't any pieces missing before crawling out from underneath Okami's tail and sitting down crosslegged staring outside the cave aimlessly.

There was a feeling of success in her, she looked at the mask in her hands and grinned, "Ha, I win." then grimaced momentarily, "Oh...right, I haven't a clue where I am, er. That's gonna be problematic...for...living purposes." she said scratching her head and trying to at least semi-comb out her hair with her fingers so she could pull it back into a sort of low pony-tail. She sat there, waiting, unsure. But not afraid, unsure, but still excited.

Okami slowly became conscious as the sun almost tried to burn through his eyelids. And as he raised his head, he let out a yawn before turning his attention to Neli, caress her mask. He adjusted himself to get a proper look at the mask. - - He looked toward Neli, trying once again to give a friendly smile.... Maybe if he was a bit smaller, then he'd be just a little easier to accept such a gesture from

He eventually got up and cautiously strolled out of the cave. Being greeted by a synphony of birds chirping and the leaves rustling around him. He took a seat and while waiting for his companion to join him. He had acertain desire scratch his ear.

Neli Neli

Neli looked back as she heard Okami move and yawn. She held the mask out a little more so he could see it, mettalic shape on the outside, functioned kind of like a rebreather. Her mother once had a habit of wearing a similar design due to her scars. Neli wore one more for the fun of it, but also because her mother had ingrained in her the idea that anything can go wrong. And sometimes breathing was one of them. You had to be prepared.

In spite of the massive canines that were made bare when Okami smiled, she still gave one in return. She knew by now he wasn't doing it threatening, he was smiling, like she did. Big mouth, little mouth, it didn't matter. To someone more fearful, it might. To her, it was somewhat of a comfort that she wasn't alone.

"It's nice here. Not that we can stay. But...it's nice. Quieter then Bespin. But more...alive." she said quietly as she heard the birds chirp.

Okami Okami

Okami agreed with Neli's view on this world, it was quiet and it was potentially open to exploration. He tried to bring his markings up again. And they did in fact light up, though they still seemed a little dull. Might take another couple of hours to return to full strength.

Okami stood up on his hind legs looking around for food or water. He saw a few berry bushes and a small stream nearby. The berries could be poisonous, so he decided against them. They probably did need a drink though. He returned to his usual quadrapedal stand and motioned his head to follow him.

Neli Neli

Neli noticed the still dull markings, and gave a look of something between guilt and pity. She didn't quite know what he was doing when he stood up, what she did know was that BOY was he tall. Already on his four paws he was massive, but when he stood like that, well good grief it was like looking at a tree.

"Find anything? Should we try and do that mind thing again?" she asked aloud to see his response. He might want to leave right now, if he did she would have a little more difficulty actually trying to establish that connection. But otherwise she'd be willing to give it a go, maybe he'd want to discuss the plan before they got on the move.

Okami Okami

Okami was about to set off before he heard Neli ask about connecting their minds again. To be fair, it was a good idea. It'd be better to properly communicate with each other. He layed down so that Neli could climb on his back and connect them again.

Neli Neli

The girl happily hopped onto his back, if a bit carefully to make sure she didn't hurt him. Not that it would be an easy feat for someone that size. In either of their cases, with her smaller size and his much more massive one. She breathed in again, laying down face forwards, but turned to the side, on his back so she could be fully stable. Then she tried to focus again. Bringing the force to her, feeling its flow, and then letting the flow go between her and Okami, pushing it to their thoughts and to allow them to flow freely between them as it had before. It would no doubt be easier than last time, having done and used it before. But it wasn't exactly the simplest feat for the girl still.

Okami Okami

Okami sat as still as he could to give her and easier time while climbing on. And when she was securely led on top of him, he set off toward the stream off in the distance. He could feel her gradually bridge the gap between them, surrounding his soul once again.

"Good Morning, Neli. There is a stream just over this way. Have a drink. Then we'll figure out our next move. " He continued on until eventually reaching the edge of the water. At which point he led down again so the young one could get down. As he lay down, he noticed that the supposed stream was much deeper than he had first though. So much so that he couldn't see the bottom.

This only confused the wolf further on which planet this really was...

Neli Neli

"Good morning to you too!" she responded. Watching as they got closer, she had to try and work to keep that connection going. Still, it was certainly easier when both parties were involved and willing to receive and send. When they got close enough to really see and she got off when he let her she stared into the water just letting her mouth gape a bit at the sheer depth. She glanced at Okami and then back gesturing wildly at it as if this was some kind of impossible phenomina, only saying, "Huuhh?!"

She shook her head, trying to contain her confusion. But, she was gonna trust Okami on this. She got down next to the water, cupping a hand to taste it first before just dipping her head in sideways while holding her hair out of the way so she could take in more water hoping there was nothing that was going to swim inside that was somehow invisible.

Okami Okami

Okami took a long hard sip of the water in front of him. And while looking down into the endless stretch of water he thought he saw a shadow move past the edge. It was probably just a fish or something. Nevertheless he continued to sip. before pulling away and looking back towards Neli, before motioning his head towards the water, implying that there was something wierd about it, assuming she hadn't noticed it already.

Perhaps due to curiostiy, and a little bit of stupidity, he placed his paw into the water and reached down as far as he could. As it had looked from the edge of the stream. It seemingly had no bottom. and seemed almost barren. Though that thought was shattered after a sudden sharp scratch came over his arm to which he responded by pulling it back out as fast as he could. And upon gazing atthe site of the scracth, was a bloodied tear in his arm. He naturally began growling at the water, trying to catch a glimpse of whatever just did that.

However he found nothing. Maybe coming to wherever this was, wasn't the best idea ever conceived.

Neli Neli

Neli saw Okami place a paw in and then leap back, she quickly pulled back from the water as she saw the strike looking back in expecting to see something. Yet, much like him, she saw nothing yet. She glanced at him uncertainly, and at the scratch. She didn't really know at all what to do about that now. Maybe use a jacket to try and keep it from bleeding? But beyond that she was at a complete loss. She was no doctor and had never had to deal with the issues of injury before.

But there was also the issue of some invisible blade inside the water, "What was it? Should I try and help with that, I can't do much though?" she inquired, cautiously looking back at the water, not that she expected to see anything. Still, she kept her distance now.

Okami Okami

Okami didn't take his eyes off of the water as he listened in on Neli's comment towards his newly acquired wound. He didn't know what had hit him, whether it were a sentient being or some predatory fish who mistook his paw for a snack. But this all but confirmed that this planet was unlike any other planet Okami had heard of.

He shook his head in response to the kid's notion toward his cut. In truth, a tourniquet or bandage would only do so much, especially when they were likely not going to be here much longer. With every passing moment, his powers grew more and more. Soon enough, they could get back home. Or atleast, She could go home. Okami still had to find Lothal.

Now that he thought about it...

The scratch seemed to barely sting anymore. Almost like it had an electric shock. In fact his whole body felt so much more... Alive. He flared up his markings again, finding them to be brighter than they had been the first time they were used. Whatever had done this, had seemingly replenished his stamina. He turned his head toward Neli to see her reaction to this latest development. Hoping to see some form of excitement on her face as well.

Neli Neli

She took a few more steps away from the water. She looked at him with surprise as his markings began to glow again, much brighter than they were earlier as if he had regained what had been lost in yesterdays adventure. She smiled both with joy...and confusion. She was of course happy that his energy had returned to him but at the same time she was baffled by how that had even happened.

"Well that's not at all what I was expecting..." she said with a chuckle, "Uh...should that have happened? I mean not that I'm unhappy but it is kind of freaky."

Honestly until now the world seemed pretty normal. Now they had a bottomless stream with invisible creatures...or something. That had apparently reinvigorated Okami's abilities in the force. Leaving Neli with absolute uncertainty on what this planet was. But at least the temporary comfort that Okami was not still exhausted as he was before.

Okami Okami

Okami leapt around and howled in joy. He could finally return to the World between Worlds, and get back home. Though while he was in thought he also recalled the fact that Neli needed to go home first. Where was that again? Bespin. Right? Either way, the pair should probably leave soon. After all, her parents probably didn't take too kindly to this 24 hour long stroll across the galaxy. Okami used his head to throw Neli up and onto his back once again, then promptly began to run.... And run...

Before eventually summoning up his power in the force once again to create a flash of light around the two and transport them into the World between worlds. Though before he set off again, he turned back to the portal then had just came through and laid his paw upon the edge of it. He brought forth a series of red and blue markings on it. If they ever wanted to return.

Neli Neli

Neli smiled as he seemed so happy. Though she still wasn't entirely sure how she was supposed to react. So she stood there mostly confused. He tossed her onto her back and she held on as he ran. Once again she saw the wonder of this...dimension? Universe? What would one even truly call it? This Place was simply what it was as far as she was concerned.

She took a look at the planet behind, the first world she'd ever truly been away from her mother on. She didn't understand the markings, nor did she know what he was going to do now. This was Okami's realm. And she was perfectly fine letting him decide where they were going next. It wasn't like she actually had a plan after they left. Just leaving was as far as she'd gotten. And that happened...now she was simply at a loss.

Okami Okami

Okami turned away from the portal and began scouring the realm for any sign of Neli's home of Bespin. Nothing seemed right though, the world seemed almost out of balance, like the entire thing was being controlled by something else. The wormholes were moving of their own accord and would randomly change the location. It could have something to do with the sudden burst of energy felt in the wolf. Or maybe the thing was being tampered with by someone on the outside.

Whatever it was, it meant bad news for the pair. There was almost no way of knowing if they'd safely appear on another world or if they'd be stranded in the heart of deep space.

Neli Neli

Once again, portal after portal to see in the seemingly endless set of options and utter uncertainty on what any of these were to Neli. But it took her a while to realize things just...weren't the way they were last time. At first she missed the irregular movement. Simply chopping everything down to that she didn't really understand this world. It was more that she noticed Okami's response than the world around them.

Thing were simply not the way they were meant to be. She hesitated, "This isn't supposed to happen...is it..." she asked uncertainly. Yes, she was pretty sure it was wrong. But the question was somewhat rhetorical hoping for a response of some kind. She didn't know anything about this place. She couldn't give him advice, he'd know better than her. She'd been here only once because of him.

Okami Okami

Okami took to trying to guess where the portals would land, and what location lay beyond them. He couldn't make sense of it though, and for whatever reason he couldn't exactly control the realm like he could previously. Everything was acting out of order. He responded to Neli with some hesitation, hoping not to spook her, but then again she had already guessed that something was a miss. "Nothing here is right, that much is clear, but I cannot decipher what. Perhaps the force is upset with our use of this place." Little did he realize that he was in fact the one who was creating chaos here.

He heard what seemed to be a voice calling from beyond another of the wormholes. He couldn't make out who it was or what the were actually saying. But he did have a rough idea of what they wanted of him. He neared the portal and gazed into it. There was nothing...

Only a black void. He raised his paw and put it through the circle which was supposed to house the portal. And watched as it vanished beyond the rift. He pulled it back through to find that it was still completely fine. Nothing had changed it, and it seemed almost cleaner than before. He turned his head to Neli and said simply "Trust me, I will see you home." He leapt through the opening and he was gone, taking Neli with him.

Rippling through space and time...

Neli Neli

Okami had a response for her, one that caused her to furrow her brow. Things were most certainly not the way they should be. But she still wasn't afraid yet. Just...concerned. He approached a portal, but she could see nothing. He put a paw through and she half expected they'd get sucked into a void...for a final death after a few close calls so recently. But no, it was fine. He promised to see her home and she simply smiled, not really knowing how to respond. It was a kindness, one she probably couldn't return. Knowing so little about what he was and definitely not where he came from.

She leaned over and grabbed on, trying to avoid pulling his hair, while laying on his back. And through they went, she could feel the force. It was so strange, so unfamiliar around her. This was so different from how her mother used it, or how she did. But...perhaps it was simply the rarity of the technique. Or power? That Okami was using. She knew that what she was feeling was incredible, but it was too complex for her to truly understand.

Even if she could feel it in its fullness, she doubted she could replicate it. It was...incredible. Even in the chaotic moments, such a gift was something she doubted she could ever obtain.
