Science, and The Force

Location - Korriban, Excavation Site-023
Time - 1200 Local Time
Madeline Kievra
_______________________
As noon set in, a large dust storm gashed through the canyon in which Excavation Site-023 was located blocking out the sun and encasing the entire area, forcing all the miners and archeologists to make their way back to the camp leaving the old ruined temple which reached from the bottom to the top of the canyon wall. Excavation Site-023 was, by far not the worst camp on this planet, it was what anybody thought a typical excavation site should be, six decently sized barracks / residential buildings, and small medical cabin, and finally a bar to keep 'spirits' high. However, unbeknown to the men and women who worked at the camp was what was held inside this temple in which they were contracted to work on. Likewise, another.. unaccounted for hand had made her way into the camp, disguising herself as an archeologist who was hired by the company working here.

Madeline had arrived through by an escape pod, leaving her ship in orbit with its security measures in place, for this 'mission' she made sure to prepare herself for the worst, holstering her ELG-3A blaster pistol on her belt and wearing her signature tight fit turtleneck, however opting for thicker pants for voyaging into the dangerous temple. As she walked into the camp she had stolen an identification card from a human archeologist before bringing him to a quick end, typically she wasn't one to kill, however, the company working on excavating this temple was only here for one thing, money and power. With no remorse they had already destroyed a temple three clicks south before finding nothing and leaving it in ruins. This all irked Madeline as she was somebody who valued the natural history of the galaxy. Nevertheless, Madeline knew she had to keep a low presence so she made sure to bury the body and move on with her plan.

Stolen Identification in hand, Madeline made her way to the bar where she knew she had to start. She had to find a lead on where the item she was looking for was located, she had a general idea on what it was, some sith artifact, possibly a holocron however who truly knows. And, she knew in the bar the drunk fools would have no problem explaining anything her.

"Why.. hello there.." Madeline said, approaching and sitting down at a table full of people who had obviously a little too much to drink.

"Aye,. Whats a fine thing like you doing out here?" A drunken old miner looked over at her slamming his flagon down onto the table before wiping the foam out of his dark beard.

Seeing this, Madeline cringed a little however, looking back at the miner with a faint look "Ah, work you know? I was just stopping by this table as you all seemed like the most fun" She said, in an attempt to arouse emotion out of them.

Luckily for her, they were too far drunk to bother caring, instantly they all simply laughed before another woman looked over, a old maybe in her fifties twi'lek miner. "Hehe, Well you ain't wrong honey, were the most fun this dump has ever seen" She laughed as the group nodded to her taking swigs of their selective drinks.

Time had passed, and with no bother at all Madeline had gathered all the information she needed while playing a few rounds of sabacc with her new 'friends', and for her success.. as stupid as she knew it was she decided to get a drink, ah.. maybe a few drinks at the bar, why with the luck she's had what could go wrong she thought.

Salis was still settling into her new life, having left the Jen'Arii, feeling as if she had ceased her rise. She had become a mercenary, arguably a less profitable position, but one so far would let her extend her reach and exploration much more then the limitations she had originally had by the Jen'arri, whether or not she would continue this life, she wasn't sure. But it had it's upsides, the absolute freedom to go wherever the heck she wanted being one.

Salis wore her armor, watching over the excavation site along with her 501-z police droid, and z65 patrol droid. With a rifle in hand and two blasters at her side, and her mask all the way up, she would not appear like a Sith. Even the lightsaber was well placed on the back of her belt, folded into a pouch, to avoid suspicion. All that might give her away, would be the presence. She was still working on it, but she did not yet learn how to hide her dark side presence. She was learning quickly, but it was still recognizable.

She had been hired for this job, a simple one, for a fairly sizable sum. Thanks to the importance of what they were looking for. She had a very strong temptation to steal it once they found it, but that seemed unwise. It would give her a bad reputation she didn't want. Eventually other guards took over and she left both her droids near the Combat Freightor while she headed into the bar, plopping down on a barstool, she breathed in, removing the goggles and mask revealing the paled skin underneath, the yellow eyes, and the seeming scarring that was forming around her mouth from her excessive use of the dark side. She really needed to find a way to hide the eyes, she pulled a light veil over her mouth for now, something that was mostly see through but which would disguise the scarring. And taking a swig of the drink underneath it.

Her attention got pulled when she spotted an unfamiliar face come to the bar, apparently from having played sabacc from a table of...man they were drunk. She got off and moved closer to the woman, she was always a bit suspicious, but there was the possibility that this was just a new member of the crew, Salis sat down next to Madelin, and lifted her glass to her before taking another swig, "Heya, hadn't seen you till recently. I'm Sal. You?" she asked.

Course the name given was only a partial one, but Salis didn't feel like offering her full name right now. And "Sal" had a more casual tone to it that she felt she could get away with around here.

Madeline had already been about three drinks in, One of her biggest flaws was the fact she didn't know what it mean't to stop. Nevertheless, The young woman looked over at the other woman with a smile on her face, obviousily a little tipsy already. "Hehe nice name... Oh I'm.." Snapping back to reality "Names, Caroline.. Yven" she spitted that name out in a moment thinking of the first bizarre last name that could come to mind "And yeah, I'm a bit new.. I'm" she'd hiccup interrupting her sentence "-From Coruscant, the company uh.. thought it be best if I was here helping around" after that interaction she knew her luck might have been up, however who knew, this woman might be as smart as she looks, hopefully.

Nevertheless, Madeline knew if this went south, she was screwed.. real screwed. She had no way of defending herself, she was drunk and she knew it. If anything her best bet was to simply go along with this woman, and play it cool. Risking a fight would be a death sentence for the young scientist and she knew that for a fact.

Once again she prepared herself in a more formal sense before looking [member="Salis"] straight in the eyes with a confident look, "So- Sorry, I'm usually more composed than this, I'm not the best drinker... Any who, My name is Caroline Yven, I'm a scientist hired by the company to support in research of this dig, I was working at the Head quarters however they.. required my business here after I found some surprising intel on the artifact here." As she finished she took another sip of the Corellian Ale, before letting out a sigh of relief in her head, still in shock that she was able to come up with that on the spot.

Salis furrowed her brow a slightly amused smile on her face, the woman was apparently just slightly getting to be drunk. So her unusual responses were making it difficult for Salis to discern if it was the drink, or if she was actually not supposed to be here. "Caroline Yven" she'd said. Just in case Salis kept it memorized, she hadn't been told about any new incomers but who would care about just one member of their security. Still, it was of some concern to her. If only she'd practiced the use of telepathy more intently.

The woman seemed to compose herself a bit more, getting out a much more solidified answer with some repetition to clarify. She knew about the artifact apparently, though she had just been speaking with some of the crew, who were also drunk. So it was possible they told her. Salis was a fighter by nature, she preferred not to take the route of manipulation, but that didn't mean she didn't know how to.

Still concerned about the woman, but not entirely certain she was actually an outsider or not, Salis figured it'd be best to go along mostly as normal and get what information she could as she went. So she nodded thoughtfully as Madeline finished, taking another quick swig of her own drink. She could take a good bit of alcohol before any of it ever would get to her, no doubt a partial aspect of her regular use of the dark side and emotions gave her a better awareness of it when alcohol slipped in its own. "Pleasure to meet ya," she said extending a hand, "I've gotten to stick around for awhile now, they paid me pretty well. So so long as I make sure everything's all fine and dandy, we're all good. What was so surprising? I am kind of the guard right now so it's not like you'd change anything I wouldn't find out anyway." she added with a shrug.

There were a few spots mixed in their to fit with it, the payment was not entirely true. She was paid some now, but would be paid according to how long this lasted and how much time she put in. Not one upfront payment. An easy guess to make, but it was one of a few tests. The second question was partially personal interest, if the woman was just an invader who happened to hear about a bit of information and jumped into the conversation, there shouldn't be anything "surprising" to add, but if she was legitimately from headquarters, Salis assumed she'd have something. But there was too much uncertainty about the woman she couldn't prove her in either direction just yet. She was leaning towards the side of her being legitimate, but Salis was always the cautious one. Even if it was unnecessary.

She'd much prefer if it was as simple as just a new face she wasn't worried about. Didn't seem like a fight would be all that interesting here. The woman was tipsy, didn't seem to be particularly armed, and if a fight did break out she would be outnumbered. So it didn't hold much interest in Salis's mind. So she wanted to explore other routes.

[member="Madeline Kievra"]

Madeline would extend her arm, shaking [member="Salis"] hand before taking her arm back."A pleasure.. to meet you too Sal" She said with a drunken smile on her face. As Salis continued to talk to Madeline, she would quickly survey the room, checking around for the exits and for the number of people inside, she believed there to be about.. twenty-three heads that she was able to count, and two exits in viewing distance. Likewise, after she completed her survey she quickly peaked her head back into the conversation, disguising her little survey as a bit of a drunken twirl.

However, as Salis asked Madeline these more.. interactive questions, panic ensued. Madeline rushed to compose some scientific banter in which she'd use to buy her some sort of confirmation among her. Sadly for Madeline she was never raised to be a liar, Likewise she was raised to work on the spot. "Oh.. well, it was a.. neurological.. reading.." She'd fake hiccup, to buy some time, "Nothing big of course, however.. it.. spiked interest among the.. higher ups, some believed this to be something.. big". 'Something Big' She thought to herself, gosh, she knew she had to flare this up or she'd be done for in and instant.

"From my theory, I believed the signal belonged to.. some.. sith holocron, or who knows.. Something special though" She did her best to look Salis straight in the eyes, keeping her focus and composure over this situation. However, another problem got the best of her as she began to really feel the alcohol hit in, of course she was a bit of a light weight in drinking, so these three drinks had easily put her in a bad state.

She watched the woman gave another answer with pieces with pauses in between. "Neorological reading", vague detail, "higher ups", vague detail. "Big", "something special" but without implication as to what. Sith holocron however, that was specific. And so far as Salis herself knew wasn't too freely learned. Always cautious, always hesitant. The woman certainly did seem to be able to maintain eye contact very well so if she was lying she was at least not feeling sorry about it, at least that's what Salis assumed. She'd always heard that the looking away was a sign of guilt, but if you could stare someone in the eyes, you were either strong of will or felt guiltless.

"Ah, splendid." she said leaning back as if that was somewhat satisfactory, "How Is Arvesh then? The site captain, muscly looking man, walks around like some kind of king you'd think. He generally is in the fifth Barracks, at least sleeps there. But he tends to just keep in contact from his ship with the employer to make sure everything's organized. Tells everyone where they are supposed to be and all that." Salis explained, most of that was lies. The question was posed as if Madeline had to have already met him. There was a site leader but he was in the first Barracks and he tended to stick around the actual dig site most of the time, and was far from muscly, a Twi'lek male named Q'il and was fairly casual about things. She wanted to see if Madeline would call her out on her nonsense or not. But if she failed, Salis would try and get her to calmly come outsider and preferably to her ship where she could try and extract more information and decide on what to do. She didn't particularly feel any need to kill an intruder, unless they actually accomplished anything. She was looking for a certain correction.

She only had one more test before Salis could feel comfortable, she wasn't an investigator normally so she didn't think of the easiest routes instantly. The last idea she had was to bring her to the actual site leader and see what he knew about things. But that was only if she couldn't be convinced by Madelines answer.

[member="Madeline Kievra"]

It was obvious by this point that Madeline had been nervous, nervous of what exactly, who knew, but she seemed off from the body language she was giving to Salis. However the young drunken woman did her best to keep calm, and continue playing her part. "Oh, hehe.. I told you I'm new.. here" However, one thing she had severely not counted on was the fact she was a lot more drunk then she believed. "Arvesh.. sounds like" She would hiccup, before swaying her head around. "Soun- Sounds like my kinda guy.. I haven't met him though.." In the back of her head, she panicked knowing she needed to get out of here soon, however in the metaphorical front of her head, she was far to drunk to even bother getting up, and before long disaster struck.

"I.. I, think I need to nap friend.." And thus, the alcohol had finally done its job, the ultimate lightweight of Madeline was brought down by three glasses of Corellian Ale. Likewise, Madeline had laid her head to sleep on the bar counter, falling into deep nap. Meanwhile, in the bar most had cleared out as the dust storm outside had began to clear out and night fall began to move in on the planet of Korriban. From the original full house, only.. around seven people remained in the bar, from the looks of it, just the typical miners who had usually spent their afternoons drinking their lives away, all the notable archeologist or.. fellow security members had already left the bar, heading for their personal suites in the small excavation camp.

[member="Salis"]

Salis was still incredibly suspicious, no contradiction, but still claiming to be new so could technically be true but the woman continued to seem very off. And then, apparently, the alcohol got to her, Salis leaned back raising her hands palm outwards towards the woman as she fell forwards to put her head on the counter. Straight up fell asleep. Well holy cow.

She looked around, barely anyone left to help deal with this. Not anyone she'd trust, just drunk miners. She groaned, going to pick the lady up, try and carry her to her Combat Freighter.

(OOC: Here out is depending on how you may react if she wakes or something, so you can ignore it depending on if something your character does would stop it.)

She'd make sure the two droids came with her and bring her to the Cargo Bay so long as at no point she woke up. Essentially go to lay her down while the droids watched her from a distance and Salis made sure there was no chance she'd been fooled and gotten pick potted, waiting to see if she'd wake up.

"Boy this got weird. Some pretty lady comes to the dig site, gets drunk playing cards, acts ultra suspicious, then straight up passes out. I expected either straight up theives or an assault." she leaned back sitting down against a wall, "Nope, I"m a former Sith waiting for a drunk lady possible intruder to wake up."

[member="Madeline Kievra"]

It had felt like an hour or so had passed as Madeline woke up from her deep nap. Surprisingly enough, on the way to the combat freighter itself, the trip of [member="Salis"] carrying her there and then into the ship had not awaken her. Nevertheless as Madeline's eyes began to slowly open she rubbed her face, groaning from the hangover of the drinks, however lucky enough for her she had surprisingly snapped out of the buzz.

As she finally snapped back to reality, she looked around, noticing.. she wasn't in the bar. Without a thought, panic ensued, she had not noticed anyone in the room, only crates and the typical items found in a cargo hold. She wondered, 'Is this.. a prison..?' 'Oh.. no it must be some sort of brig.. Or a cargo hold?' as she finally arose from the ground, she fixed up her pants and shirt, looking around for her equipment.

"Where in the blasts could I be..?" She asked out loud, not noticing anyone or anything as she scurried around the cargo hold looking for her equipment.

Salis spoke up before either of the droids as she heard the woman getting up and moving about waving them down as she noticed them starting to come in with weapons raised, she had her mask and veil off now. Revealing the pale skin and scars around the mouth. She was still in her armor though she'd tossed her rifle aside, "Why don't you calm down as second before one of these guys restrains you hm?" she commented with a raised eyebrow tipping her head towards the Patrol and Police droids she had purchased.

She pulled a box over and then grabbed one herself, gesturing for Madeline to sit down, and also suddenly realizing she really should have tried to see if there was an identification on her while she slept, "Could just explain to me why you're here? Of course, there are alternative ways of figuring it out. But I would honestly prefer we just talk. You really kept giving off pretty bad signs while I was talking to you. You fell unconscious, so I brought you here to...investigate. I don't really give a crap about who I'm working for, I'm here for three things, excitement, growth, and money. So it's not likely I'd kill you if you're an intruder unless you're actually causing harm at the moment. Come on, just explain."

While Salis herself had had a lot of trouble really trying to decide if she was a real employee or not, and somehow still felt doubts. But she hoped the investigative systems of the 501 Z police droid would be able to pick up more easily on if she was being deceitful or not.

[member="Madeline Kievra"]

As [member="Salis"] finished talking, Madeline looked around.. viewing the two droids in the room, her cowardice had peaked. Luckily, her 'captor' didn't seem to have the intentions in which Madeline had presumed from before. Therefore, maybe her luck was simply just coming back around. She would let out a simple sigh, before sitting down on the box in which Salis had set up for her. Resting herself down before holding her hands together to put herself together in a more serious way.

Finally, looking Salis straight in the eyes, and implying she was about to give off the truth, as she knew it was her best bet not to lie at this point. "My name is.. Madeline, Madeline Kievra. I'm an Archeologist, Scientist, and Doctor. The reason I'm here is because of this archeological sites 'importance' to me. First off all, as a respecter for general history I want to put an end to this companies work as all they do is desecrate these fine pieces of architecture." She looked down in anger, still a bit angered by the last Sith tomb she came by before arriving at this specific excavation camp.

Before long though she'd look back at Salis, "I wish no harm on you, or anyone truly.. I just wish to secure the artifact before these savages desecrate these fine piece of history.. that's the honest truth" From what you could understand.. this was her true intention, on her face she didn't look as if she was lying, she had sincerity in her voice as she spoke about the atrocities this company had committed.

Salis sat calmly as Madeline eventually gave her response, her name, multiple positions, her motives, and even her goals. It was all much more clear then the last time she'd spoken, she looked at the Police droid slightly, he also seemed to be getting the truth at present. That was good, they were fairly well known for their ability to catch lies, and if both of them were getting what felt to be the truth. There was a good chance it was so, especially after having already lied not as well, this was a much more clear and detailed answer.

She turned back around and smiled, even with a slight chuckle, running a hand over her forehead and brushing aside the white hair in thought, "Well alright then, that's much more an interesting story. And definitely more believable."

A hand reached out again, as if ready to shake, "Actual full name is Salis Marai, could to properly meet you. I just didn't want to give you any information cause I was rather suspicious. Now that I know what's going on," she shrugged, "Not much to really hide. And trust me I want that artifact too, but, I also don't intend on destroying my reputation so early on in the game by stealing something right away. Or letting it get stolen. So you get why I can't just let you take it."

Whether or not Madelin shook her hand Salis would lean back on the box and cross her legs, in spite of being a sith, and quite heavily submerging herself into the dark side many times. She'd never lost a rather almost playful attitude about things, of course, her whole reason of becoming a sith was for the enjoyment of it, "I would like to know though, what it is you think you're gonna do now? Obviously you can't sneak back in to steal it, and by the time you could get a force to do so, which I assume you don't have right now, we might already be done. I can appreciate your wish to secure it for history purposes, I have a bit of history with the dark side myself, but like I said. I just can't let it happen here. Maybe we can just remain on neutral grounds between us, at least officially. You don't try and do that again, I don't try and kill you or turn you in?"

Her final comment was made in almost a rather positive light about the situation. Salis really didn't mind letting her go she just wanted to make sure she did her job, and having been a Jen'Ari Sith she still had some sense of understanding on what value an artifact had for history. And why someone would want to protect it form the company. Besides she was rather amused by the whole situation.

[member="Madeline Kievra"]

"Well.. Under different circumstances it would be a pleasure to meet you Salis, you seem to be a fairly pleasant person however.. well" she would cut herself off shortly, thinking about all of this, this whole situation boggling her.

Madeline, had a look of anger and confusion on her face as Salis had finally finished up talking.. Angry, as salis was flat out refusing her access to the temple, however.. Somewhat happy with the fact she at least gets to keep her life.. And, then confused as.. why does she get to keep her life if she was theoretically an enemy to this sith. Nevertheless, she wasn't one to question this, knowing there were alternatives to all situations.

"Well, I apologize for asking this.. however, do you plan on letting me go.. or am I stuck on this ship for now?" Asking of course as she was confused with what Salis had meant earlier. Along with that she had began to feel a bit angry, knowing that the whole reason she had came down to this hell hole in the first place.. might be simply out of her reach, a sad fact however a truthful one indeed.

Nevertheless, she thought to herself on what she could possibly do in this situation, waging her options out.

Along with all that also, Madeline had surveyed the room inspecting all the exit, and the two droids which were seemingly assisting [member="Salis"] .

Salis shrugged somewhat at the mention of different circumstances, "Ah well, I guess things can't always go perfectly." she commented. Then however came up the matter of what she was supposed to do now. Salis leaned her elbows against her legs and put a hand on her chin in thought, "That is a bit of a conundrum isn't it."

She shoved the box she was on to the side and started pacing in thought, "I mean technically speaking I could probably keep you in the ship till the job was done but then I'd have to leave the droids here until that was over. And I don't exactly have a cell built in, I should do that. I guess" She looked back at Madeline in thought, she had rope but it would be days, could damage muscles that way. She didn't feel like being very cruel. "No."

As Madeline would look around she would see the main exit, which of course was shut, leading to the outside to allow all the equipment. And the door to the rest of the ship on the opposite side, beside which was most of the cargo. The two droids, 501-Z_police_droid which was a rather large machine designed to be very intelligent and physically able, and the Z65_patrol_droid which had blasters built directly into the arms which was cheaper, but still mostly an efficient droids, a lesser version of the 501.

Salis would eventually return to look at Madelin, "Well I will definitely eventually let you go. What I'm concerned about is what would happen if I let you go, and you come back for the artifact. You can imagine that's really not a good situation for me to be in."

[member="Madeline Kievra"]

As Salis continued on about what she was planning on doing about Madeline, she thought to herself, while not making direct eye contact with her as she was surveying the room, inspecting the two droids, viewing their models, and thinking on the probabilities of a mad dash for the exit. Before long, she'd make eye contact again with [member="Salis"], inspecting her and adding her into the probability. Of course, Madeline was no push over as a fighter, and had always been a fairly talented martial artist.. she could tell that meant nothing in this situation, first of al it was Three to one, and not to add two were combat droids.. and one.. well Madeline knew Salis had been through alot, she had combat experience written all over her.

Nevertheless, as Salis had finally thought on what she'd do with Madeline, she realized this was her biggest chance, No mad dash, no daring combat approach, just simply.. 'give up and leave'.. It was that easy of course, to simply just.. 'give up', likewise, Madeline looked up with a grateful look on her face. "Do you plan on just.. letting me go?" She gave off a look of innocent hopelessness, an act of course, however, quite the believable one to say the least.

"Look.. I was wrong about what I said earlier, I was simply emotional and headstrong.. I beg you let me go.. I'll do anything I just don't want to die" Madeline would say as she began to falsely tear up, adding more to act however milking everything she could out of it.

When the woman started pleading Salis had to let out a quiet groan narrowing her eyes in thought. She wasn’t really questioning the plea, it made sense from what they had to go off of so far. Just, what it meant to her. It occurred now to Salis, the final phrase of that statement, about doing anything. Slowly a proper idea formed in her mind on the matter,

”I tell you what.” She said stepping forwards, ”You give me something of value, I’ll let you go tomorrow when I get a few hours off, so long as you behave in the meanwhile about it. But you come back with the intention to steal, and I will kill you.”

Her comment on killing was said as calmly as the rest of the sentence. But none of it was said maliciously. She wasn’t sure what the woman had to offer, but she needed something certainly. And now that it was offered, she was going to take it.

[member="Madeline Kievra"]

Madeline paused as [member="Salis"] finished speaking.. It had seemed her little rouse had gotten her into a bit of a rut from what it appeared. Nevertheless! She had a plan, well, she didn't have one yet however she was a scientist, and as a scientist, she was a problem solver. However, she had just created a problem she had no immediate answer too, sadly. "Um.. do you request.. Credits? I don't entirely know in what to give you." She would say as she realized.. she didn't.. have anything on her at the moment.

Along with that, she feared.. Salis was demanding maybe something else. Or maybe not, who knew at this point.. Madeline simply thought to herself, taking a minute or so to process a logical answer for Salis. "Is there anything you.. request?" Ah, maybe that was a smart response she thought.

And.. to add to all this, the fact that Salis had threatened to kill Madeline, truly made this a bit more.. intense, sure she's had her list of dangerous situations however this somewhat topped the theoretical bin. Never before had her life been this on the line.

She shrugged as the matter of what exactly it was she wanted cake up. She had many things she wanted, some of which she knew were out of reach here, others maybe not. She would see. So she answered simple, ”I don’t care so much what it is so much as what it’s value is to me. It doesn’t have to be this instant, but it would need to be before you’re somewhere you could escape.” she answered, now leaned against a droid, ”So, what is it you can offer me?”

Salis glanced at the droid absently, frowning at the dust and sweeping it off with a gloved hand as she awaited a resposne
[member="Madeline Kievra"]

She sighed.. thinking, and before long she had an idea, it was obvious, she could simply pay her in some credits and make her way out of there.. A bribe. "If, anything I have a decent amount of credits in my ship.. however that's all I believe I can give you that's.. well of value to say the least." She'd say looking down, still a bit shocked over the revelation of [member="Salis"] being willing to simply end her life if she so needed too. Along with all that she began to continue thinking in what Salis could've.. also wanted.

"If not credits, what else would you wish from me..?" She'd say as she gave off a weak and innocent look in her face, trying to look weak, hoping that Salis takes pity on the young scientist at least. However, from what Madeline could see.. Salis didn't seem to be someone with a fairly kind moral compass and her little roos to buy some pity seemed to be futile at most.

To make situations worst, in the other room Madeline's communicator would begin beeping off, coming from her discarded equipment. If followed, the signal of origin would have originated from a ship in orbit, nothing big, just a simple corvette.

Credits. Useful but a boring commodity. Might be acceptable. She pursed her lips in thought for a moment and then Madeline mentioned if not credits, what else? An interesting question and one which would get a vague answer, “Well you aren’t bad looking for an archeologist.” But before any further the communicator went off.

“Stay here.” She said sternly moving quickly to get and track its origin naturally believing information to be found. So, a ship in orbit then. They could take a look at that, she had her astromech go to get them up into space while she quickly returned back, flicking the communicator against her leg in thought not sure what she was going to do with it now.

“A conundrum indeed.” She mumbled, “ I can live with credits, If you have enough of them.”
