Sea, Sand and Sun (Open to Teen Characters)

The pretty pink girl talked while looking out at the other guests. You didn't have to be an empath or force sensitive to see twangs of emotion and in her eyes Her rejection was predictable, it was a response that you'd expect from a girl wearing a sundress to give. After an awkward minute followed by a sip of his drink Jaeson leaned further against the bar and smiled over at [member="Nida Perl"]. "Your Uncle Damian," he said with a slight pause. "Well while he's simply your uncle, his relation to me is a bit more complicated."

He resisted the urge to frown and kept a smile on. Waves of emotions complicated and contradictory welled up in him. "I've dealt with some Zeltrons before, I know you have empathic abilities." Better not to say which zeltron he encountered previously though. "So I know you felt a bit of... unpleasantness." Frowning he considered his next words. "He's a clone, and I'm another. Templated from his template or my own. So if he's your Uncle Damian, that makes me your cousin..." Jae shrugged and took another sip of his drink.

"You know being a wallflower doesn't suit you." The young clone used the same words his template Damian once used in jest to Joza, of course the two of them said it for completely different reasons. "You should let loose, and have some fun."

Allya grinned at Kahlil and shook her head. “We met in blood. We have swum in it, regardless of if we wanted to or not. It was chosen for us long before we were born. Our parents chose our paths and set us on them, regardless of our desire. It makes sense you would be cautious. I chose him of my own free will. He was kind to me at first. But we ended up having to fight. He proved to me his intelligence, his skill, how power. Defeated me, at least using the rules I set for winning and losing. However, he showed mercy, and understanding. Then, he offered companionship. I asked HIM out, honestly. And he has fought at my side, saved my life when a star destroyer crashed down on us. And helped me complete my goal of saving the people I needed to save. Frankly, he earned me. But I don't blame you for wondering, and thinking what you did.”

Her strong hand reached out for Kahlil's hand, to try and pull him to his feet. “You are much better on your feet than trying to curl into a ball Kahlil. At least when next to me. I won't be angry at you. You didn't harm my lover. You tried to protect me, but had the sense to make sure before doing anything. That makes you an awesome friend in my book. Don't look down, don't look away, look forward with pride.”

The Sith girl looked over at Demitry and laughed. “Oh don't worry! We got everything you could need. The hut over there sells swim trunks if you need 'em. We got snorkel gear, and I am more than powerful enough to rescue you if you begin to drown and float you back to land. If you want to learn how to swim, this is a good time to do it. But no pressure, okay?” The small teen gave the man the brightest grin and laughed, with that musical tone. She practically bounced on her toes and turned to the water. Both men would notice the massive amount of scarring that covered her back. Both would clearly recognize the signs of Sith Torture, and feel the faint corruption of the dark side the oozed from the wounds.

“Mmmmmmm!” She stretched up and spun around, all the while she giggled. “Come on, slow pokes.” Allya's large eyes sparkled, and she stuck her tongue out at them in a playful manner. “I want to swim! And you two are coming with me, got it?”

"A.. Ah. Right. Of course." Kahlil mumbled faintly as the much shorter girl pulled him to his full 6'8" height where he'd tower over her. He gave [member="Allya Vi'Dreya"] a sheepish smile, waiting for her to run off ahead. The smile faded as he saw the scars on her back, his hand subconsciously reaching to the collar of his shirt to make sure his own was covered. He knew all too well what it was like to have a Sith Lord as a father.

He cast a glance over to [member="Demitry Draskovits"] , offering a simple shrug. "She's not really one to take no for an answer. Might as well come along, yeah?" He offered a smile before walking, not running, after the younger Sith. Being able to see the ocean life might be something fun after all.

[member="Jerek Zenduu"]

Getting [member="Micah"] fit in his snorkeling gear didn't take long, and Jerek giggled at the awkward steps the boy took as he tried to get used to the equipment. With one swimmer kitted out, the teen looked around nearby to see who else was going to show up to swim with them. He spied two teen boys near [member="Allya Vi'Dreya"], the taller —much taller— of whom she seemed familiar with. Jerek wasn't really worried, he trusted her around other boys, the youth didn't need to isolate his girlfriend in order to feel secure about their relationship. He caught a whiff of their darkside scent on the breeze, Jerek wasn't worried about that either, a hand to the crystal necklace Allya had given him reassured his security there.

Not to mention that the beach outing had been explicitly set up for safe mingling regardless of Force affiliation, no one would try anything here.

Mentally reserving four more sets of snorkeling gear for the participants so far, Jerek expanded his gaze as he turned to the rest of the beach. His invitation had garnered a couple more interested parties, it seemed. Laying the mesh bag down again, he opened it to the newcomers. "You're coming too? Schway, see if you can find a pair of flippers and goggles that fit."

Catching a glimpse of another figure a little ways down the beach, a girl in a red bikini, Jerek was overwhelmed by the sense he got of her through the Force. She seemed to be in the midst of some beachside meditation, but what better for the meditative experience than to get right into the water and up close to the natural wonders of the ocean? The teen waved down to her, calling out, "Hey, you're coming snorkeling with us, right? Yeah, you in red, come on!"

Once he had passed out another round of gear, Jerek gathered up the rest and started heading for Allya and the boys, beckoning to Micah, [member="Persephone Shan"], and the others to follow. He had already been away from Allya for too long, he wanted to be close to her again, and despite himself, he even wanted to meet the darksiders she had befriended. As he got close, the teen donned an impish grin, throwing a thumb over his shoulder. "I thought recruitment was your job, babe. Why do I have everyone following me now?" Jerek chuckled in a light voice, tossing down the mesh bag that contained just enough snorkeling gear for those left, and turned to look at the two teens Allya had found. The insanely tall one dwarfed him by a foot, his height alone menacing, and Jerek had to sip a little of the Force to keep his cool around the threat the darksider seemed to pose. The other was closer in height, but looked younger than he was, maybe even younger than Allya. He passed a smile to them both in greeting. "I'm Jerek, you guys coming, too?"

Zeke Tune

Your Secret Dark Obsession
Zeke smiled, reached up, and brushed hair from [member="Loreena Arenais"] ' face. “Alright, let me see what I can find out there, dear one. Though.” He stopped and shook his head. “How about we start off, with a walk down the beach and see what we find together, to start off the day?” The older man held out his hand to her, and gave Lori the most dazzling of smiles. “Come on, it will be fun. I can play in the water later. Right now, I admit, I want to spend time with you, not just go off on my own. I'd miss you.” Zeke winked at the teen, and just stood there for a moment, admiring the woman in front of him. “We traveled all this way, let's just have fun and try things we don't normally try, both of us.”

He stared into her eyes hand still outreached as his mind wandered. Sunset, picking up seashells, the colors are oranges and reds, all the colors of the beach and people color changed to match it. A flower. Lori most certainly needed a flower in her hair for that picture. He wondered if any grew naturally along the beach, the rocks, or in the tidal pools. Oh this would be a fun adventure, and so much inspiration to be had!

[member="Zeke Tune"] seemed to change his mind about going swimming. Instead he enticed her with an offer to go beachcombing, coupled with that dashing smile of his. As if she could ever turn that down!

Lori got to her feet, taking the offered hand into her own. "Try things that we haven't tried? Have you ever done beachcombing?"

He was studying her again. She was starting to recognize that look in his eyes when he had art on his mind. Maybe he'd work with the sand, if she helped too. Then it could be a little group project.

Lori intertwined her fingers with his as she began to stroll on the beach. It was so nice and warm out, yet there was a bit if a breeze too that flapped the light fabric of her dress. Hopefully the breeze would remain gentle.

"So far so good. They haven't even noticed that you're older than the rest of us."

"Hey, you're coming snorkeling with us, right? Yeah, you in red, come on!"

Some random pale-haired boy shouted at Persephone. She blushed and looked confusedly at Med, not sure if it was her he was calling to. Persephone would normally err on the side of caution and stay put, plus, others kids? Ugh. She hated interacting with them. In fact she mostly hated interacting with anybody. People were overrated.

"What a strange boy. Of course you will deny his invitation," The droid ordered her.

That was enough to make her second guess her snap decision to shun all others on the beach. She didn't like to be ordered to do anything, much less from Med, a droid! If the boy really wanted her to come he could have paused a moment and spoken with her. Still there was a hidden part of Persephone that began to emerge, it was her curiosity about the other kids she watched chasing each other and having fun on the sand. What if she wanted some of that fun too? And why didn't she deserve it? Maybe the others wouldn't be so bad.

"Coat me with more sunscreen Med," She said with a hint of courage trying to overcome her shyness in her tone and posture.

"Oh you are not thinking of going, mistress, are you?"

Persephone didn't respond, she was getting in the zone, preparing herself to be around others she'd have to interact with. Cassus wasn't here to talk for her. She was so nervous she trembled a little. What if the Force got the better of her? What if she flung one of the kids into the depths of the ocean or had another spell of Force plague?

She put that aside now. Ashla told her to take chances and so a chance here and now she planned to take. At least they couldn't say she didn't try.

Persephone dropped her parasol and loosened her sarong, letting it flail to the sandy ground. Med fetched them for her. Persephone alabaster skin shimmered in the sun as if a million fragments of diamonds were embedded in it, her hair lit up and so would her eyes if it weren't for her giant sunglasses. She pranced over like a shimmering specter to where the teens were meeting to snorkel. She didn't swim, she hadn't quite figured out how she would get around that, but the current plan was just to watch the others fool around.

She perched herself on a high dune before the happenings of the shore and watched curiously. Med stood behind her as usual carrying her parasol and folded sarong. She stood there twirling her hair, giving an air that she was having a ball on her own, acting too cool for anyone else. Persephone was equally hoping for someone to talk to her as she hoped that no one did.

As Jerek brought others over to her, her eyes went large, and her body language immediately took on a more love struck tone. She leaned forward slightly, her lips slightly parted, and she swayed side to side. Then however, she stuck out her tongue at him. “Hahah, kandosii! Good job, Jerek. I got the two scary ones you never would have talked to. Jerek, meet my friend Kahlil, and my new friend Demitry. Both are Sith. This one.” She points to Kahlil. “Is a man who fought side by side with me against a Sith lord when we got corned by someone wanting more power. We are both Sith Lord's kids, so we were good targets, or something. For everything he has had to face, he is a very good man.”

Her eyes sparkled when she was next to Jerek, in a way that should be noticeable to Kahlil. Fingers reached out and brushed the hair from Jerek's face. “Cyar'ika......right!” She clapped her hands together. “Okay.” She grinned at the teens/kittens, that gathered around them, and twirled her hands around a bit in the air above her head. “For those who don't know me, I'm Allya. We have snorkels, masks, flippers, and life vests for everyone who needs one. If you don't know how to swim, put on the life vests, and don't go out further than waist deep. We have lifeguards over there.” She pointed to several resting on tall chairs. “So, we are pretty safe over all. No rip tides or anything. Calm waters for the most part.”

The small Sith girl grinned. “For the rest of us, we are going out to a ship wreck out there.” Her lips closed and then her eyes went even more wide. “OH! For those who can't swim but want to come out there, we can get a small boat! Perfect. No one has to be left behind!” The bubbly teen twirled around. For a brief moment the scars that covered her caramel back were visible. “Alright, we got this! Everyone, get ready!” She jumped up and down a bit, and rushed over to the masks, snorkels, and flippers. “BWHAHAHA! I have the first pair! Eat that Jerek!” She burst out into a fit of snickering with a massive, playful, grin on her face.

Allya then grabbed a set, along with a life jacket and went over to [member="Persephone Shan"] and gave her the most charming smile she could manage. “Hey there. I'm Allya, what's your name? Want to come out in the water with us?” The girl reached out with her hand, to show off the supplies she had gathered for her. “It would be wonderful to have you.” Allya leaned slightly forward and rocked back and forth on her toes, bare feet semi buried in the sand. Her caramel colored skin glistened in the sunlight from the water droplets that coated her, and her hair was wet, the dark locks dripped down her and onto the ground. Each droplet made a little dark spot on the sand near her.

Seth Huze

Wolfboy Extraordinaire Tresure Hunter
Quilla. Sun, surf, sand. Seth beamed brightly as he stood on a cliff that overlooked the cove. It had been a while since the teen has had a vacation, this was long overdue. The explorer peeled off his shirt and stretched his arms.

He wished his brother were here and not stuck in his ways of not partying. Seth shook off the thought as he cracked his neck and walked to the edge of the cliff.

"Here goes nothing eh?" Seth said to himself as he took a few steps back. He lived for the thrill that was life. Never passing up a chance to push himself to the edge.

Seth smirked as he ran full speed to the edge and jumped off, doing a frontflip off the cliff.

"HAHA YEAH!! COWABUNGA BRAH!" Seth yelled as he plummeted towards the ocean, wind rushing as he dropped fast. Seth steadied himself to land perfectly in the water with a large splash.

Under the water the teen smiled brightly, it had been a minute since he'd been in the water. He watched as various aquatic life swarmed around him. The explorer laughed as he swam to the surface.

Popping his head out of the water Seth would let out a cheer of excitement. Shaking out his hair as he did.

Seth felt the adrenaline rush in his veins. Seth smirked as he waded in the water, admiring the way the sun reflected off the crystal clear water.

Persephone smiled, a little intimidated by how comfortable this girl seemed to be. As if she knew everybody and was completely at home here on the shore. She longed to be like that, but all she could presently muster was, "I'm uh. . . Persephone." Persephone cringed as she was reminded of the time someone thought her name was actually Uhpersephone. . .yes it had happened, and she had hoped that wouldn't be the embarrassingly unbearable case now.

Persephone sheepishly twirled her long curly locks from one shoulder, over her back, to the other and let it tumble helplessly all the way down to her lower pelvis.

"I think I'd be open to trying, although I can't swim," She admitted to the girl. She was pretty, kind-faced, sweet and genuine, Persephone saw how it could be easy for someone like that to make friends with everyone so easily. She was soothed by her friendly nature, enough to ask; "I heard you talking about a shipwreck, what's that all about?"

But then she looked around and saw all the other teens and one or two people who seemed like they could have been older than teens, maybe chaperones? Persephone didn't know but she felt like she might be taking on more than she could handle at the moment.

It was understandable that Milla just wanted to explore and enjoy herself. Her parents dying and having to learn to survive all on her own, it was difficult and something Kat couldn't understand because her parents had been in her life for most of her childhood. However, Kat felt sympathetic to the young Mandalorian. "I am sorry to hear about the loss of your parents, I lost my father not too long ago. My brothers and brother-in-law very recently in the Mandalorian invasion of Eshan. It is tough to lose love ones and I understand not wanting to fight." Kat turned and faced Milla, "however, if we didn't fight, didn't strive to help those that suffer from the Sith Empire then lots more children will grow up without families."

"We have the powers to help them, not to is a waste. That's not to say that breaks, enjoying ourselves and exploring, shouldn't happen but just know that running away from the fight now is to leave others in suffering." Kat stated before she turned to face the ocean once more and smiled as she watched people enjoying their times in the water. "Plenty of good Masters at the Silver Jedi Order to teach you how to fight, some might know some Mandalorian style fighting." Kat added.

Nida perked up, her gaze meeting Jae’s for a moment before realizing that it felt awkward. She shifted her eyes away, busying herself with the drink while she listened to the young man describe their tentative relation. Like most of her aunt and uncles, she was not blood related to Damian—well, neither of them were blood relatives of the biological Perls. But that was besides the point, as Nida had been taught that blood ties were not the only thing that made a family.

A violet brow arched imperceptibly as he mentioned dealing with Zeltrons, but Nida was too shy to raise a question to this. While Jae continued, Nida busied herself with the straw of her drink. Mmm, mango.

“Oh? Oh!” Nida pulled away from the fruity drink, seemingly unperturbed by the idea of them being family, or the fact that Jae was a clone of her uncle. “That explains why you and Uncle Damian look so similar. I’ve never met a clone of a clone, before.” There was a measure of fascination about her now as she seemed to look at Jaeson in a different light, almost as if she were curious about him from a biological standpoint. “In any case, it’s great to meet even more of my family!” She beamed.

When Jae suggested that she let loose, Nida flushed and returned to jabbing at the ice of her drink with the straw. “Well…this sort of is ‘letting loose’ for me. I’m not that good at…” She gestured out towards the beach where many of the others were playing. It had taken nearly an hour of Nida talking herself up in order to leave the changing rooms.

Abigail rolled her eyes with a chuckle as she gave Beth a curious look.

"You have a funny idea of what's 'fair'. You were not giving me signals at all! You could've just wanted to stretch for all I knew!"

As she then splashed [member="Beth Cadera"] , she couldn't help but laugh at the girl's little scream. Abigail looked over at Beth as she called her a monster, and shook her head.

"You didn't win, because you totally cheated. We're so not counting that", she laughed. "I'm forever denying this ever happened", she said as she stuck out her tongue.

Then her smile turned into a grin before she pretended to be surprised.

"I could have gotten your hair wet? You mean I didn't? I missed?", she asked dramatically. "Well that just... that just won't do", she laughed. "A soldier can't be known for missing."

And having said that Abigail lowered her hand into the water again with a grin on her face, ready to splash Beth again. She wouldn't do it yet though, as she was eager to see how Beth would react. Perhaps she'd even 'fight' back.

That seemed to do the trick. [member="Nida Perl"] perked up at mention of their convoluted relationship.Family. That was a weird concept for Jaeson, having only one person in his life who was distant and hardly genetically related. Something was comforting about the idea of family, of people you could rely upon with no expectation of reparations. It spun a good yarn but the practicalities of it was something he still wasn't sure about. Quixotic ideals beside Nida seemed a good sort and despite any misgivings of the entire institution of family Jae took a liking to her. "Well," he said looking around at the sweeping scene of various teens at play. "Have you ever tried..." he waved his wave arm aside taking in the horizon mimicking the gesture Nida had used earlier.

"I mean you have family I'm sure they were plenty attentive, lots of horsing around and the like." Then again maybe not. Some families were a lot less rough and tumble than others however given his clone template... or fathers, temperament he somehow doubted that to be the case. Still a little smile crossed his face as he looked at the girl, a devilish smile one might say. "C'mon lets have some fun yes?"

Beth scoffed playfully at [member="Abigail Meredydd"] comment on her not giving signals. “I gave all the signals! Vision going? Perhaps you should come to Mandalore, you can visit our doctors. Won’t cost a dime,” she said with a small nod of confirmation.

Beth tried to shake off the water that went on her to begin with from the first splash. The warmth difference made her body slightly cool – likely not a problem for normal skin, but with her heightened sense of touch due to her species, made it much more intense feeling. “I’m sorry you’re soooo slow, these days, Abby.” She teased back at her.

She gasped as she began to back up towards the beach again. “Don’t you dare!” She turned to run back up towards the sand and away from the water. “Monster!” She yelled with a playful grin.

I didn’t know you were such a sore loser, until now!” As she took a moment to catch her breath, she glanced towards the drink area. “Want to get some juice?

Abigail once more rolled her eyes with a grin as she let [member="Beth Cadera"] continue on teasing her.

"Yeah yeah yeah, go ahead, make fun of me. I'll get back at you for this later. Just you wait. I can tease back, you know."

Once she noticed Beth was retreating, a big grin appeared on her face as she sent out a small wave of water to chase her. After having splashed Beth a final time, she quickly followed her friend and got out of the water again.

"Sore loser? Says the one ridiculing me!", she laughed. "If anything you're a sore cheater", she joked as she stuck her tongue out. After letting out a deep breath, she then nodded.

"Yeah, sure, some juice would be nice. Let's visit the bar."

She then suspicious glanced at Beth and gently took a hold of her arm as she started walking. "Let's go there, calmly. No sudden unexpected races", she chuckled.

Beth chuckled once more at [member="Abigail Meredydd"]. “Alright, alright. I know! You tease me all the time, I gotta get my revenge at some point.” Either way, she made her way out of the water – the water still making contact on her legs and a little on her back.

A lil’ gasp but she made it before the damage was too bad. She squinted at Abby at her comment, “Sore cheater! How can someone be a sore cheater,” she laughed. Silly Abby.

Either case, they were off the bar. It wasn’t unexpected but… That was fair, she supposed. “Alright, no races,” she said as she laced her arm with hers. At the actual juice bar, though, she had no idea what to get.

I’ll take… Whatever that is,” she said as she pointed, unsure of how to pronounce it.

"Yeah, uhm, make that two. Two of... that... stuff, thanks", Abigail said, following it up with a smile as she returned her attention towards [member="Beth Cadera"] .

So, dear sis, are you still singing?", she then asked, clearly interested in Beth's life. It had been a while since they talked to each other. It had been too long for Abby's liking, but such was her life, and she knew there were likely going to be much longer periods in which she wouldn't see her new sister.

"And how's your medical course going? You doing good at the Uni?", she then asked. "I can't have you not do good. Do I need to come and help you with your homework?", she then laughed. Abby would definitely be willing to help her little sister, but even though she knew a fair share about medicine and medical procedures, Beth knew much more, no doubt.

Beth chuckled as Abby ordered what she got. She perked a brow as [member="Abigail Meredydd"] asked about her singing career. Beth chuckled with a nod, “I am, yeah. You should come by sometime!” In truth, Beth hoped she wouldn’t though. Really, Aunt Peggy was the only person she knew, family or friend, and she would rather keep it that way.

Too much pressure otherwise. When it was a room full of people she had no idea about, it was much easier. She perked a brow as the dude handed them their drinks. “It’s going great, actually. I mean, you can, I do need to work on some experiments,” she said with a joking tone, clearly playing with her.

How about youuu? How’s life? Met anybody special yet? Find some interesting ruins in Republicland yet?” Beth leaned against the counter as she sipped the juice with a somewhat perplexed look. Was whatever this was good or not? She wasn't entirely sure, yet.
