Description: Smol aquatic invertebrates, SeaSnugs ™ are the pioneer species for GenPal’s new line of interactive home aquariums. Curious, playful and friendly (in a through the glass sort of way), SeaSnugs ™ are poised to flood (ha) the market.

Skin color: Across the spectrum, SeaSnugs ™ are very colourful creatures in a variety of mixed pastels and jewel tones.

Distinctions: SeaSnugs ™ are aquarium or sea biome dwelling companions. With four, slightly chubby, webbed feet for paddling, they maneuver largely using their wide tails as a rudder. Frondlike feelers on their heads sense vibrations in the water, giving them the ability to sense movement nearby even in dark environs, though GenPals aquariums are all sold with light attachments so it is rarely needed when kept in approved enclosures.

General behavior: SeaSnugs ™ are social animals and do best in groups called ‘pods’. Even with regular attention from their owners, they require high levels of socialization, which is why GenPals recommends purchasing SeaSnugs ™ in quantities of three or more for their long term health and happiness. Playful creatures, they will play chase games with each other (or their owner’s finger across the glass), toss pebbles back and forth, or elaborate games of hide and seek in well planted aquariums. Movement outside of the tank will draw their attention, and often a crowd of curious SeaSnugs ™ will come over to investigate (this goes double with added excitement for new items placed in their habitat). They appreciate new items added to their enclosure, or existing items changed around into new configurations for them to explore. SeaSnugs ™ enjoy showing off, and will happily perform for people who take a moment to watch their antics. While it is okay to occasionally reach in and pet a SeaSnug ™ they should not be removed from the water or overhandled.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The original pitch was ‘Living Art’. Despite the vast, initial troubles (both logistic and moral), eventually the idea of an aquatic line of creatures that could be maintained easily in the home was born. Rather than make these familiar species, GenPals scientists focused on the visual appeal, not merely of appearance but also behavior and temperament, to create a number of offerings that would be able to build harmoniously on each other and make each self contained aquarium unique.
With a wide variety of sizes and accessories available, the SeaSnugs ™ are the first of the Aquatics line to be completed and offered on the market.
