Seat of Senatorial Power.

With the recent events involving the destruction of the Imperial Palace and the massacre of Senators, i am suggesting the Senate be moved to Anaxes' fortified stronghold and that we bring in a private force to act as garrison for us. The Latter of which i assume is going to be the Wildcards if i am not wrong. Unless anyone has a better idea for a new seat of government while things are being rebuilt or a new seat permanently, i would love to discuss such. Also, if i dont see any injured Senators, i will be disappointed. Keep in mind we were attacked during a meeting and only two senators have proper alibis for not being injured from my knowledge. Thank you all for your time.

Woah, hold on a second.

When exactly were we attacked? Could you give me the link to the RP? Also, we would be injured IF we were part of the RP, which we were never invited to. Another possibility is that the Senate wasn't in session during the period of the attack. I don't think its very fair to do a massacre of senators, especially not since no PC senators were even there.

I think he's talking about Thronebreaker. Where Mikhail and Superman smashed stuff.

But yeah. If you weren't part of the thread, don't worry about it. Your character will be fine. Though you might find it fun to include it somehow or reference it. *wink*

Also. Coruscant is the center of the galaxy. Always has been. Always will be. Moving the Senate anywhere else would be bad for 1 million years of logistics, networking, and politics. The Republic Armed Forces are always at their strongest on Coruscant. :)

Thanks for the info. :)

And yeah, no reason to move the Senate out of the capital planet just because of that attack. Unless you're talking about shifting capitals, which is another discussion entirely.

Ok, so many things wrong here. A. We were attacked in a four day long thread that several OOC threads were started over. B. It was an attack on an open session of the Senate, so sorry but unless you have a alibi like the two senators NOT counting me you are injured. and C. Its not my fault 90% of you Senators dont do a damn RP out of the IC senate section. As for a bloody link HERE YOU GO.

Saw your response right now, and the reason we are moving it is two things. 1. THE SENATE BUILDING IS GONE, or rather is a burning piile of rubble. And 2. Its obvious that our senate needs better protection if two sith Masters can stroll right IN AND ATTACK IT. I mean come on, are we really THAT useless.

And if the Republics armed forces are strongest on Coruscant i am bloody sad to be a partof the Republic. Two sith MASTERS strolled right in, blew it up, and got away

Hey, first off, chill. No need to go all caps on me. I'm going to PM the people that blew up the Senate and consult them. I had no idea such RP even took place.

Ive allready talked to them everyone in Republic chat has, and im sure a few has PMed them. And im sorry but after the only senators that should up were myself, Kiyala, and Jentara(Sorta) im sorry if im a little pissed. Furthermore there were two or three OOC threads linking and talking about the thread, i feel no pity for any senator or other republic player that did not know unless you were LOA before the fact.

Edit: Heres the links to the OOC threads

There's a list format, I'm just going to use it if that's okay.
  1. Let's just move the senate into a 'Emergency Crises Bunkertm' for future meetings for awhile. We probably have one somewhere or something that can pull duty as one what with the history of wars.
  2. Last I saw the Wildcards still had 30 members. Great as they are at CQB (and sniping) there just isn't enough of them.
  3. Demanding that people take IC consequences as individuals from a thread they weren't in is generally frowned upon. Sure they could have lost property or territory, but outright harm is stretching it.
  4. This is the holiday season, LOTS of people were either gone or only keeping current threads running. I know several Senators were very busy on other characters dealing with other factions and their own problems.
  5. My impression of this thread from the little I heard on skype was that it was a duel between the two Sith with some Jedi involvement, not an outright attack on us where my delicate senator would be well-placed to do anything other than get stabbed.
  6. As for political ramifications, so much for our cease fire?

So..I was {Am} LOA I don't mind being harmed, but I don't think we should move completely away from center of the Galaxy. I agree with Chi, an emergency situation would be best.

The first thread the Republic ever did as a Faction was Moridin and Apparatus sacking the Senate Building on Coruscant.

Don't Rage the Meta. If you don't like Sith characters walking in and blowing up your stuff? Send a PM to your Faction Admins. There is a process for formal complaints. And it's not public backlash / drama queen mode.

I'm sure many of the PC Senators can come up with a perfectly good reason to take a 'sick day' and miraculously be unharmed. Lol. :p

Oh god this makes me Lol. Im not made at the Sith at all, i actually am happy they did this. Because it means i can fix the moronic problems that allowed for them to do this. And im not raging at the Sith, Im raging at the tumor inducing, moronic republic players that did not pay attention to this and did not come to the aid. I understand some were on LOA, and those that were i hold nothing against you. With that said, i am writing a new act to fix the very problems that let this happen.

It is wildly inappropriate to abuse or berate your other faction members in the manner in which you just did. This is a violation of the top Rules. Please remember this simple advice moving forward. Thank you.

Again. If you have any complaints? Please PM a Faction Admin. *wink* :)

Jack Sheltrak

Senator of Zeltros, Former Supreme Chancellor
*realizes who the "new guy" is* squeeee Jay Clark ********** Scott.

And yeah I recommend toning it down but really and in the OOC several members explained what they were doing and why they couldn't show up in a believable;e fashion. Besides half really didn't want to end up on trial for crimes which seems to be the treand when fighting sith now

Its done, i have a new act up and if you guys have an IC problem over a canon event and take into account the meetings will and need to be in holocalls until a new place of meeting is decided. IN the act said new place is suggested.

The Senate can grant Political Pardons in the event of menial crimes and property damage committed combating the Sith. The Jedi Order was often pardoned in the past for any such trysts while pursuing Enemies of the State.

These pardons were given OOC by Faction Administration before the Senate became a real IC thing. Please consult a Faction Admin for further information. Thx. :)
