Kuat Drive Yards developed several walkers for the Republic, and then the Empire, and then several Empires, Republics, and Alliances over the millennia. Walkers have the benefit of being immune to repulsorlift jamming effects, making them popular in uncertain battlefields with rugged terrain. When the Empire of the Lost fought a terrible battle over Mon Cal, they gave salvage rights to a group of Squib in exchange for their help recovering essential items from the battlefield. Among many other things, the Squib recovered three-hundred and eighty-eight walkers of various types, all in various states of destruction or disrepair. These salvaged units were purchased by Second Life Astromotive. The surviving parts and pieces became the source of material for the company's first Walker program.
The All Terrain Raider Transport Model One is a rugged and capable walker designed to perform work as a battlefield raider, quickly assaulting enemy positions and inserting small numbers of special operatives for behind-enemy-lines action. Raiding makes up a small part of battlefield operations, and Second Life Astromotive wanted to make the purchase of their walkers more widely appealing. As such, the walker is designed to be useful even when not on raids.
When not conducting combat operations, the walker can perform battlefield engineering roles thanks to its crane and winch apparatus, helping to move materiel or set up battlefield fortifications. It can also clean up after battles by towing disabled vehicles or getting them unstuck from the terrain. In this role, battlefield engineers are often substituted as passengers for the usual special operations personnel
Neuromachine interfaces allow hybroid crew to operate the vehicle and its guns, an important quality for Madrugar operators who are often cybernetically augmented. Finally, its hardened circuits and quad point-defense blaster cannons make it well defended against inbound ordinance or ion weapons. Failing that, the duranium skin of the vehicle can ward off small-arms fire.
Whatever your needs at base, on the front lines, or behind them, the All Terrain Raider Transport is right for you. Get yours today for just 30,000 credits!
