IMHAR CANYONS

This was an interesting scenario... mainly cause the padawan pack ideal had been used almost as fodder and that was never a good thing. Sai Fel let the red armor gleam in the speeder while she piloted the several passenger one with the other padawans who had wanted to come along... To a series of caves that were half submerged and made for aquatic jedi... All with a chance to meet others and try not to look foolish or dishonor her family wherever they might have gone.... Oh hell yes when she banked down with a laugh to herself. "So ah you guys have your breathers right?" The smirk on her face was there but she had to be serious as well swimming underwater wasn't a joking matter and she didn't know about heading back.

Ki'an Karr grabbed onto his seat with white knuckles as the speeder driver, [member="Sai Fel"], bobbed in between the rocky terrain of the caverns. Ki'an was not much for flying, even if it was only a speeder. In fact, speeders were worse! Ki'an hadn't been to this place before, but when he heard that other padawans were gathering he felt he should be there. He had made only a few friends since leaving Dorin and he wanted to get to know the other padawans better. These were to be his peers and eventually they would rise through the ranks of the Jedi together. Ki'an's stomach leapt into this throat as they banked again. Sai was going to be the death of him!

Then she asked the padawans if they had brought their breathing masks with them. Apparently they would be going underwater. Ki'an looked at the girl and smiled, though concealed beneath his anti-ox mask she wouldn't be able to see it.

"I always have mind." Ki'an said in a monotone voice raising his hand and tapping his talon against the metal of his mask. The voice that came out of the amplifier sounded slightly off to him. He had recently had to get a replacement for his old anti-ox mask after it was partly crushed in battle and the change in speaker sounded wrong to Ki'an's ears. He was sure he would get use to it though. Looking around at the others padawans he was concerned. Had they thought to bring the breathing masks? He hadn't known they were going underwater, but hopefully they had been better prepared then he had been.

"Where are we?" Ki'an asked turning back towards Sai. He had to shout for his muffled voice to be heard over the roar of the speeders engine and the rushing of wind past them. How fast was she going!?

Majority of the time she had been face first into her datapad, she was experimenting with a new ability. She desperately wanted to learn but due to the dangerous nature of it she wouldn't just start practicing lighting fires and causing things to combust. However the speedy, and slightly bumpy ride broke her focus here and there. The last one seem to cause the most damage as her datapad slightly rose into the air and crashed back down into her lap, she even gripped the seat beneath her, her nails were slicing into the padding; indents were all that was left.

This time around she hadn't a desire to return to her reading, as she became suddenly fascinated with her surrounding and the expressions of those around her. Not too long after they were all asked a question, one that pertains to their little trip. A breath mask? A breath mask you say? Of course she came prepared. She nodded in order to present her answer. Almost synchronized with the words of the Kel Dor that was also present. As he spoke she looked over to him, serious on her face as always, but nothing threatening and unwelcoming.

The light from above them refracted upon her glasses when she turned her head, and when he was finished with his small statement she had a smirk, and then turned around to look around when she heard him present a question as well. She also wondered.

"Yeah, where are we?" she said thinking to herself.

Breathing masks?

Maria was a bit surprised, a bit shocked. She hadn't known they would be going to a place with only a little or no oxygen. Oh goodness, why? She searched for one in her backpack which was nearly always with her when she was away from her home. Or the Jedi Temple. Most of her survival things were there, so a breathing mask would have been there, too. Well, probably.

As she got deeper into her bag, she started searching for it more furiously. How could have she not known they would need one.

Breath now.

That was ironic.

But soon her right hand got her breather so she sighed in relief, hoping nobody else had heard that. As two of the Padawans had already asked about where they're going, there was no need for her to do the same. So she just put her backpack away, looked around while standing nearly completely still, and held her breather in her right hand. She had known it had to be in her bag.

Not since his first couple of days on Ossus had he really interacted with other padawans. Sure, there was the time that he had spent with [member="Kira Liadain"], entertaining the younglings, but as far as what he meant by interaction, those times didn't quite fit the bill. Nonetheless, perhaps paying the younglings a visit would do him some good... but for now, perhaps fostering some friendships with people that were not his masters or other masters that were friends and acquaintances of his masters was precisely what he might need.

Anything to keep him from thinking constantly about what had happened to the blonde Lorrdian. A trip to a part of Ossus he had not yet explored seemed a likely candidate to do just that. The unknown had the habit of instilling some measure of apprehension and anxiety, but he had come along by significant strides in managing to quell those feelings since he was taken in by the Jedi. The past several months had been a mixed bag, with some very heavy items thrown in to weigh it down.

Staring out the window of the multi-passenger speeder as the scenery passed, he almost missed the question about the breathers, on account of his distraction and the loud noise of the engine. Momentary confusion settled in until his attention shifted, his mind processed the question, and... yes, he had.

"Aye. Ah recall ye mentioning that it might be a good idea... so ah got one for meself."

He patted the worn leather satchel in his lap, feeling the shape of the breather in the bag underneath his hand. Jan glanced around at the others in the vehicle. He too was wondering where exactly they were, and where they were going, but the scenery was nice enough that he wasn't too bothered. He could spend all day out in it, for how fresh it was, how different it was from the duracrete of Coruscant that he had lived in for many years, prior to beginning his life as a Jedi.

The others in the speeder drew her attention briefly to the mirror and she took in the three then the one next to her. They were all odd but that wasn't such a bad thing, odd usually meant they would be able to think outside the box and she spoke to the Kel-dor. "The Imhar canyon are underwater caves and don't get explored as often as the rest of the planet." She moved again and dipped going vertical briefly while letting the speeder hug the canyon wall and pulling up at the last possible moment. "This is fun right? Goes to show those four crashes weren't my fault those speeders came out of no where." With another bank to the right she weaved into position in a small clearing in a canyon just barely scratching to paint. "There we go, see we're here, were safe and I even got the parking right.... Totally going to get my license when I get back."

Ki'an's stomach lurched once more as [member="Sai Fel"] pulled the speeder into a complete stop. Ki'an leapt from the speeder the minute it was stopped and had to restrain himself from kissing the ground. Turning back toward the others, Ki'an turned his head sideways at her statement.

"So....you don't have your license yet?"

Pushing that scary thought aside for a moment. Ki'an turned and looked around, scanning the area for any sign of where they were heading. Eagerly turning back toward Sai, Ki'an asked.

"Where to?"

She began to think to herself, "Imhar Canyons? Hmm, I remember reading something about that." though even her thinking was cut short...again...by her fellow Padawan. That last maneuver really caused a minimal disturbance, her glasses almost came off her face; those darn things! She however, was glad it was over. She was probably one of the fastest to try and get her feet on land.

Those words....those words! She didn't have her license!! Her smile, and comfort ability with being in land had turned to terror, though it wouldn't possibly remain as she was safe now. It was as if her spirit jumped out if her body, and began throwing a fit, but in reality it was a taken back, scared, and surprised expression that held her face. Well it was over and done now.

She took a deep breath and snapped out of her little phase. She decided to allow the others to figure out where they would be going, she would just follow along as of yet.

Maria didn't even concentrate on what the rest of the Pack was talking until they finally stopped. However, it was not quite a good breaking job the woman had done, so Maria had to jump out of the speeder quickly not to injure herself. And even then did she not listen to them, but kept herself occupied by her own thoughts about the location and everything. Ever since joining the Jedi Order, she had lost her social life she had had before. She talked to people, had friends even, but was not as extroverted as she had been before.

Maria was one of the very last ones of the group, being a bit away from the group's leader Sai and the ones who followed her. The newly redemptioned Jedi didn't want to talk to them at the moment, she only admired the interesting views of the place.

But then after some time she asked, "Do we expect to find something here or did we just come to explore and have fun?"

Sesab kicked on the lid of the trunk in frustration. "Can I get out of here already, because it is really cramping my legs!" The Selkath complained. "If any of the masters found out that we flew all the way here with me crammed in the trunk like that, they would be furious." He said as he unlocked it with the force and popped out, a grin on his face. "I don't need a water breather, I am one." he observed. "Next time, I say Ki'an has to ride in the trunk." He said, glancing at his friend. "So, let's go swimming!" He said. He desperately wanted to jump in a pool of water, he hadn't been swimming in so long! But he controlled the urge and waited for someone else to take the lead.

The violence with which the speeder stopped gave him quite a jolt, and the very moment it was possible to escape the clearly dangerous vehicle, he did so, disengaging the restraints and nearly tumbling out the door. He was of half-a-mind to give the Fel girl some words, but seeing that he wasn't alone in thinking that the driving padawan had a long way to go, the seer kept his mouth shut on the matter, and instead opted to make his way over to Maria and give her question his own answer.

"If th'plan is anything like th'driving," he started, leaning in towards Maria, and dropping his voice to a moderate whisper, "then ah'd put high stock in thinking she lured us out here tae drown us all in some perverse power play."

At least the Selkath padawan was providing some amusement, and a degree of disbelief to Jannik. He hadn't even known that there was someone in the trunk at all... and an errant thought zipped through his mind about stuffing Sai Fel in there to keep her away from the driver's seat on the way back.

Ki'an Karr said:
"So....you don't have your license yet?"
Sai Fel whispered and bounced from one foot to the other. "Ah well my daddy said I didn't need one and come on speeders are like using walkers only without the guns and belly full of troopers ready to defend the Imperium's Emperor." She offered a smile and frowned looking at Jannik a little when he whispered. "We're here because exploring is very fun, first day on Bastion after I got there I esplored and got to spar with some of the knights. Never know what your going to find on a planet like this. Where's your sense of danger and exploration we could discover some ancient tomb with booby traps and idols, get chased by a boulder and narrowly escape or fall into a pit of poisonous serpents." The nod was there while she turned to the others. "Alright so before we go anyone not know how to swim or afriad of water?

Ki'an considered [member="Sai Fel"]'s words for a moment and then shook his head laughing. He had never been one for excitement or seeking out thrilling adventure. Perhaps it would do him good to take a chance. Then she was asking about swimming and Ki'an tilted his head to the side. Dorin was a dark, dusty world and Ki'an had spent no time in the water as a child. However, since leaving Dorin he had learned to swim. He wasn't the strongest swimmer, but he'd be able to stay afloat.

"I can swim if the current isn't too strong." Ki'an said and turned to the other padawans to see what they had to say.
