Self-nominations for Faction Leader

Alright so I do truly love the Republic. It pains me to hear from a distance all the problems that it has been having lately. I understand I have not been RPing lately but what I intend to offer is less IC presence but more OOC knowledge when it comes to leading. I have a long resume of leading factions successfully. A little over a year ago I orchestrated this faction climbing back into relevancy from another tumultuous period and actually seeing the Sith Empire of the time brought down. To claim credit for that is a little silly so I do not. I owe that to an incredible team and group of motivated people.

One thing that makes me very different from most people that lead factions is that I encourage freedom. I don't try and control the faction. They are just too big for that. It is dumb to micromanage. I empower my members. If they make mistakes, fine they'll learn. I empower my staff, which I would make mostly out of those who either ran here or I hear are obvious choices to select.

I would encourage focus and identity. What is it that should drive our faction right now? Playing with a story that we have been losing a war is a GREAT story. It plays out the underdogs. The -need- to step up and rise to the challenge. To defeat those who are in fact pressing in at every angle. It is a fantastic story. One which should be embraced.

I would not want the position for a long time. It is never my intent, I truly dislike holding onto these positions. However, I would make it my mission to train a staff to be successful after I step down. That would be my goal. To train and set you guys up for success.

Faction leading is a world I know and one I do well. I also love to fix things. So yeah. I understand that I might not be the most compelling nomination due to recent activity (my love for RP is lacking) but I am willing to offer my expertise and wealth of experience to you guys.

... I self nom-

Yeah no.. Good luck to everyone who is entering. I'm not good at making choices so I don't think I'll be voting but for whoever wins I support you! Always willing to help.

Edit: this is Anoki

Ugh, I don't like self-nominations at all.

Anyway, thought I'd nominate myself. The point is, the Galactic Republic is the one and only faction which I have truly loved being in and I will always have at least a character here. Even since the very beginning of Chaos, I've desired to give this faction everything I can -- to help out where I am able to.

Now that the One Sith seems to be indestructible and we just keep losing Invasions to them, there is a need for something to be done. Either stand up against them or surrender or whatever else. But just as [member="Selena Halcyon"], I think it's a good driving story. Something that is quite likely the best story the Galactic Republic has had since its beginning. And I want to see and help it progress even further.

Although this is a Faction Leader nomination thread, I would like to point out that I don't consider myself as exactly the best Faction Leader material, while I have some experience in leading a faction here and some experience at leading elsewhere.

I would like to point out that Corvus, Kian, Sera, and almost all the members have been trying to work this underdog story for a few months now. (Thus, the invasion of Ord Mirit.) The issue is not a lack of story-driving or a lack of motivation. Most of the people who have actually been active this year and still remain with us are truly dedicated to this story. I can guarantee you that hardly anyone in the Republic as of now wants to see the faction do anything but win.

I'm sorry, but I do not understand this platform, since that is not a particularly unique goal, considering the state of the war. Unless someone believes they have strings to pull to win--which should bother people that it may come down to that.

Wait, you're not running?

Just to say that self-nominations will close in a little under 48 hours. If you haven't yet put your name in the hat and would like to do so - please go ahead. And if you've put your name in the hat and want to take it back out again, once more, now is a good time.

:)
