Self-Training?

I'm just curious as to how it works and what the limitations and/or rules are to it. Give that there's not any magic users it's a little clear I'll need to learn stuff on my own, but I'd figure I know what I need to do first.

Self-training is something many of us utilise, whether it be full self-training or just solo threads for learning new skills. It's a completely acceptable thing and it even states that in the rules (see: Ranks & Promotions). But sorcery, magic and other stuff like that is rather rare, so the best idea would be to find somebody who knows that stuff and is willing to teach you. Otherwise, some may not consider your powers to be fully legitimate.

I've looked into magics both Sith and otherwise. I do know some stuff that can be learned and others that need to be teached. Though some just require a higher rank than initiate.

A lot of the Basic FA can be self-taught in threads such as Force Speed but the thread should be written with both failures and success in your attempt to learn a new ability on your own.

As for Magik, that is usually reserved for extremely highly ranked Knights and Masters. There isn't nothing written that you CAN'T learn them but using them would result in serious harm/damage. I believe it would be easier to seek someone out to train you in this when you reach the next rank. :)

Like I said, not that many. But I do know about how to work in faliure and success during a thread, especially if it's on my own. Perhaps only a few minor spells I can learn and then have whoever else teach me the larger stuff. I only know of two people, unless you know more. lol

I love self training threads and have a magic user if you need them. but other then that have some fun with it always. I have no life if you ever want one just like playing the good doctor

Well I did offically join the sisterhood, and you do seem the type Salaza would be interested in sharing work with. And yes, if you have a magic user that can help by all means let me know :)
