Lol.
[member="Wil Cindercurser"] - FYI...basically regular senators would receive nothing once they left an official meeting (containing multiple senators) or Senate building. All official meeting places/offices of senators receive protection from the Republic Guard.
Only Committee Chairs and the Chief of Senate would receive personal security from the Republic. I imagine the homeworld of senators would give them some kind of protection from their own police/defense forces. This would likely be limited to a max of four by the Republic Guard, however. Seeing as these people would be armed around Guard protectees.
If they're around the Chief of Senate or at a facility under Guard protection, non-Republic Guard security would not be allowed to be armed.
For the personal edification of all - these individuals do not come from or report to the military. The Head of the Republic Guard (whom do more than simple protection but also enforce laws) would ultimately report to [member="Aurelia Saelari"].
