Setting Information:
Nexus Name: Serin
Nexus Alignment: Light
Location: Yesmireenhttps://starwarsrp.net/topic/150525-yesmireen/
Affiliation: Yesmireenhttps://starwarsrp.net/topic/150525-yesmireen/
Size: Small
Strength: Weak
Accessibility: Serin was only just discovered in recent years once scientists began to study and track the increasingly rarer Immerin people native to this planet. Nestled deep underground, the nexus is not easily accessed as anyone unfamiliar with the cavern system that runs beneath Yesmireen’s seemingly enchanted forest of Dzis iw Witsiza, could find themselves lost and possibly never again be able to see the light of the system’s star again. Even experienced cavers would find difficulty in reaching the Nexus as technology fails to work properly in both the forest above and the caverns below.
Description: Buried deep below the planet’s surface amid the caverns of Dzis iw Witsiza, Serin is a weak Nexus that favors toward the light side of the Force. Not discovered until recently, not much is known in regards to the Nexus, only that the study of the Immerin species native to the planet is what first guided scientists there. Though relatively weak, the Nexus manages to play an effect on and contribute to the enchanted feeling of the lush forest above.
However, research seems to direct a hypothesis that because of its brother, Molgeth, weather conditions of this world are wildly unpredictable and any variety of storm or weather cell can be seemingly fabricated from thin air.
Nexus Effects:
Serin appears to possess an emotional sway on those who pass her by. Her aura seems to relieve stress and soften moods, leading towards a rather relaxed or mentally rejuvenated state. It is said that if conflicting groups were to negotiate within its embrace, it would be only a matter of time before an amicable peace would be brought forward.
Points of Interests:
- Pools of Serenity: These pools of crystal clear water dot the landscape of the Nexus around a central pillar where the Nexus is strongest. If one were to bask in one of these pools, they would be overcome with inner peace and it would be difficult to draw a rise out of them.
- Pillar of Tranquility: The pillar stands proudly in the center of the cavern chamber and is the singular point where the Nexus is strongest. It would be the ideal place for someone to choose to meditate and center themselves within the light side of the Force.
Historical Information:
For many years it has been a mystery as to why Yesmireen’s forest of Dzis iw Witsiza had an enchanted, almost magical, feel to it. It was a mystery that puzzled scientists for years as all their research with soil and floral samples had given them nothing to go on within reason to explain the unique nature of the forest.
However what would lead them to their answer had nothing to do with the forest at all, but rather the increasingly rare Immerin. A species native to the planet and nowhere in the galaxy, the aquatic, amphibious species intrigued scientists. It was in studying this bipedal species that scientists made their discovery of Serin, the light side Nexus of this world. It was a weak Nexus and as such, its effects were not reasonably notable on the surface. When one followed the caverns to the Nexus, however, the truth of it all was all too real. At the source of the Nexus, the aura bestowed was evident and pressed to bring its visitors to a peaceful state of mind. At the surface, though, the feeling only brushed the outer surface.
Perhaps this explained why what was left of the endangered Immerin species was always so docile in nature. They took to burrows deep within these caverns and as such, spent the vast majority of their lives being influenced by its nature.
Yesmiri scientists are still uncovering the secrets that Serin offers, however its unearthing brought up a number of questions. How was it that this world possessed not one, but two weak nexuses. And at that, why were the sibling nexuses opposites of one another. Serin a bastion of the Light and her brother, Molgeth and beacon of shadow and darkness? And did this play an intricate role in the adverse and unpredictable weather conditions of the planet?
Though there would really be no scientific evidence to support the claim, most scientists have come to agree the sibling nexuses, though weak, play a pivotal role in the reason the weather is as it is. Being weak, the way each is, seems to save the planet from being ripped in two, but the conflicting stances wage their war in a different way leading to the chaotic appearance of storms from thin air and substantial temperature shifts.
