The strange place they were in, it allowed Adeline to view the world from an outside view. The woman demonstrating this as she let the slave girl peer into the world they left behind, showing that the storm was over... They were simply looking for her.
"As much as you wish to bolt out of here and get back to them, your body may crumble and become crippled just from the trip."
Adeline moved over to them, gently placing a hand upon their shoulder, keeping a firm grip.
"Borrow a fraction of my strength, and drink deep."
A small glass is offered to them, the size no bigger than a shot at best.. The liquid that lurked within had a distinct blackness of its own unlike anything her eyes had ever seen, there was something more to this.. Something ancient, something hungry.
But today it would serve as a saving grace, a poison that was hard to resist.
If drank, the after taste would go from acidic and bitter... To savoury and sweet, giving a rush to the body as something was quickly going to work... You still would stumble, still feel a fatigue.
