Setting Sail

The pirate looked back to Faye, he was pretty impressed by her attitude. The little things especially. "That's right, you mentioned a ship?", he asked for her to elaborate on the details. His eyes went back to [member="Zandra Tal'verda"] who was now just passed the datapad containing the contract details.

It seemed like the crew was coming together well, next would be getting the ship. [member="Faye Terrik"] seemed ahead of the game and that was good. But Zandra seemed to be experienced as well. "Well, then. A former pirate?", he chuckled at the thought 'former', "Welcome back to the business!", he added. He knew having a former pirate could work for or against him but it wasn't like he had the luxury of being picky. Experience was hard to come by and besides, with a crew this small they'll need all the help they can get.

The Kaleesh sat in the corner as the captain recruited yet another crew member, he had been coming here for the past few days since he arrived on ord mantell, he had expected the planet to have an overflowing supply of jobs but it seems he would have no luck. He had collected a couple of bounties on low level criminals but he long since gambled the credits away, and was currently considering on how to get more, his answer had come in the form of a man to his knowledge from the bits and pieces he had picked up from his conversations with the various residents of the cantina, was a pirate captain.

The Kaleesh walked over to he booth were the pirate was currently recruiting various residents to his crew, he sat down across from the pirate and grabbed the bottle of whiskey the man had, he took a long swig from it before he placed it down and began staring the man down with his single yellow eye.
"I hear that you are in need of a crew, if that is true then it would be wise to recruit me." the alien said in a deep voice from behind his bone mask, the various marks on it showed that he was no stranger to conflict.

Zandra wasn't really one to ever read something too closely. She didn't really sign contracts. She made agreements with handshakes over drinks. This was new.

"All I need to know is what my share will be, and how often I can expect to go back to Mandalore."

Simple to please, really.

The contract was Rax's idea, Klay didn't really like the idea either but after the last mutiny.. Well that didn't matter. "Share is split equally except for twenty percent which goes to the ship's trust; for repairs, upgrades, and such." , he said to [member="Zandra Tal'verda"] before a stranger approached the table and drank from the captain's drink before going on about how it was a good idea to recruit him.

The pirate stared blankly before letting out a loud laugh, barely able to get himself together. "I like you!", he took the contract from Zandra and tossed it to him. "Sign here, pal."

The crew seemed to be coming together well and unless there was another soon, he felt they had enough to get a ship and hightail off this rock.

The captain stared blankly at the Kaleesh before letting out a loud laugh and telling the Kaleesh that he liked him and passing him the contract. The Kaleesh looked over the contract carefully, he didn't want to end up in eternal life enslavement or something like that, Satisfied with the terms of the contract, the Kaleesh wrote down his signature, Saeronterus Ku'mar. The Kaleesh then abrubtly brought a dagger out from his cloak and made a small mark on his mask with it, before putting it away and drinking the rest of the captains whiskey.

In a swift motion, Faye reached for her belt and unclipped the beat-up datapad that she had been using earlier. There was a rustic charm in the aged device, a cheap alternative to the 'better', newer models that were advertised on the holonet. A few swipes had allowed her to bypass the security she had set on it and opened up a file that she had acquired earlier in the day. It was in a pile of junk files that she had sliced earlier in the day, most of them would be deleted when she was finished with Ord Mantel. Very rarely did she keep the files. Important political figures, security camera locations, and a list of docked ships, with specs on certain ones. Most were merchants with foodstuffs and other necessary goods, but one stood out to her.

It was a Myriad-class Corvette owned by a Mon Cal businessman, or at least the file said so. The ship was standard, with no apparent customization, or at least none listed. As far as Faye could tell, it was a legitimate businessman. "I'm afraid I don't speak Mon Calamarian, so I may be pronouncing this wrong," She slid her own datapad to the Captain and spoke again, "The Dismet. Myriad-class Corvette, it's supposed to be here for another day or two. The crew err.. is having a good time at the Casino." What she said was all listed on the file, and plenty more of info lingered on the screen.

"What are your payment rates on contract work?" She grinned to the man, curious of what potential reward she held with giving the man this information. It was a foolish mistake in most cases for her to show her hand before seeing what the jackpot was, but she felt confident in this arrangement.

Klay smiled at [member="Faye Terrik"] , her work was most impressive indeed and the ship did sound rather stunning.

Looking towards the rest of his new crew he had already hatched a bit of a plan. "You get paid just like the rest of us, take on a job and I promise you an equal cut as long as you do the job.", he stated before moving along in his topic of discussion.

"I'm no bloody expert but this is Ord Mantell. Getting past the ship's security is one thing, but the starports security is a whole 'nother story.", he said -- looking at the expressions of his crew before back at the contracts. Everything seemed well, in order, except for the small exceptions made towards Faye and Zandra. Everything else was settled.

"First we need to identify our jobs. If none of ya' are pilots then Rax can do it. Otherwise, we'll need a pilot ready to hightail on a moment's notice. Of course -- you -- *Faye* will have to break through the security, think ya' can do that?", it was almost as if some sort of accent he had suppressed was returning, at least to a good listener that may have seemed to be the case. He looked to the rest.

"The rest of you will be on me. We need someone to take down any unwanted attention -- cleanly -- and get aboard that ship.", he finished his little speech.

If everyone was ready they'd soon be off.

Saeronterus listened carefully to the captains plan, he wasn't a pilot, or a slicer, but he take care of unwanted attention. "I can take care of the last." The kaleesh said before motioning to his outland rifle in the corner, the old slugthrower rifle should have been replaced years ago but due to Saeronterus care he had managed to keep it in near peak condition for years.

(I'm going to finish this just so I can get my ship)

Klay, Rax, and Barb made their way into the spaceport; it looks like some of the Guards were already taken care of.

"Excellent.", the pirate said merrily -- the trio approached the ship. "Wrong hanger!", he turned but then noticed the security was already down. No. They---, he sighed as he thought. It seems that the ship they were interested in had not been in this hanger after all... Instead there was some rust bucket that looked like it could barely move, he turned to Rax. "Can you fly this thing?", the Lorridan nodded in return. Covering his back with Barb, Klay made sure Rax had enough time to get the ship online before taking it out of there.

On the pirate's feed he was alerted that security was inbound and just a moment later the ship's engines fired up. "We don't have time...", he muttered. Klay wasn't usually one to betray his crew but he tried to rationalize on the matter. "Send out a message, those who make it out can meet up with me.", he nodded to Barb despite the fact his Lorrdian friend was a man of few words. Despite this the message was sent and Klay boarded his new vessel.

"Get us out of here!", he shouted to Rax as a security team rushed the hanger and began constructing an e-web. With the engines fired, the ship began to levitate in the hanger before finally blasting its way out of the spaceport. A few blasts of laser energy grazed the hull and hit the shields as the vessel ascended out of the atmosphere and into space.

"Let's hope they got the message..."
