Dev Shadows of Atrisia

Junko wasn't exactly certain how to explain it but the emperor was... well he was warm even though he rarely seemed to smile. Even as a jedi master getting praise from him was a high thing that one wanted to try and gain. The jedi master remained there listening to him when his hands came out and he held them on her shoulders. Looking down at her with his stern expression which only softened a little around the eyes with crinkling skin. "Thank you Emperor." She said ti with a smile on her face and while Shoma was the heir she had been more then welcomed by the Emperor and Empress as almost family. It was surprising to see so far when she turned around to look at the crowd.

"It was surprising... but I know that I only played a part. I do regret that some people died but they have proven that they would betray the people of Atrisia at a moments notice. HOpefully their clans do not feel the same way." She said it and felt another hand touch her shoulder as the empress was there next to her. "I know you have a good heart but a traitor who would sabotage us and endanger the people is a dangerous thing to have around. I would prefer to take them alive so they can forever have their shame but I know that I will not lose sleep over this.. you should not either as the majority fo the ones captured were captured without incident... and you inspired the people by reminding them of the horrors done in offworlders names."

Junko gave a nod to the empress as she explained what had been happening andwhat they were getting done. Overhead the anshin showed more ships arriving... Dreadnoughts and carriers which were being made as part of the Commonwealth when they started to work on plans to better improve their own territory and works. The CIS wanted to consolidate their power and position which would mean eventually they would come here to Atrisia. They were trying to reestablish the ties of the old commonwealth with the lesser chosen and closer systems. THey had originally had over two hundred worlds after all and that was just the worlds that were close by so the plan was to rebuild.

She knew they were trying to do that, with expansions and restorations the other worlds who had created commerce within the commonwealth would benefit them as well as each other fi they could reopen the old supply lines... There was also the survey sips which had several routes for them to be able to get into the Farlax sector. It wasn't valuable to many of them in the galaxy so if the Commonwealth could expand into it and work with the people there they would be able to greatly increase their member base as well as the economy. The thousands of worlds were rich in resources and systems that had been well developed before they were discovered by the Republic.

There was of course other things they would need to do.. part of restoring things would be getting the parliament back. THey had a couple of the people but they were largely just one or two colonies. No what they needed to do was once again fill that chamber with the hundreds of people from each world who were working to better improve each others lives and economies. The Commonwealth would serve the better purpose if they were lucky as JUnko walked with the empress to get back on the airship and the Emperor was staying here to work with some of the others. The Royal palace... the real one was still under construction after the others had been attacked so the normal plac was for them to travel around Atrisia.

The empress sat down with her in the upper deck of the airship they had. The lounging couches for them as handmaidens massaged the empress and gave her grapes. Junko sat there and couldn't just wait around but there was no real point in pacing as her voice came out. "Are you nervous at all... actually don't answer that empress. I have known you for awhile now and nervous usually means you are going to throw a massive party o make the people happy." She said ti as a joke and well that was the thing here... the empress was very smart... just just hid it behind a demeanor of drinking and massive parties that would serve to bring the people together.

The new capital itself that was being built though they had worked hard upon it... Jar'kai and xam'chi was well good places with long histories but they were also bustling with problems now since it seemed no matter what they did suddenly they were caught in a time loop and all efforts erased whenever someone wanted to come to the city and attack it... hell people teleport in there from around the galaxy only to be killed. They had gotten tired of it and the last attack where millions were teleported in to be infected by a darkside plague and then suddenly all of their quarantine procedures failed so the CIS could be the heroes... hadn't been worth it. The systems had remained in place.. acts of god and stupidity couldn't be defended against.

She had been annoyed with that so much she had gone away in her flyer which caused all of the problems. Now though... now it seemed to have went back to being normal. She had heard someone from the CIS had been "assigned" control of Atrisia but no one really consulted with them and they had not gotten any demands yet. Seeing some of the things that had been talked about like the CIS first initiative only showed why they needed to work on the commonwealth itself and Shoma was working on finding worlds that were part of the commonwealth and systems they might be able to bring back and fill the grand halls of Parliament.

The building itself was being changed.. copied but also expanded on fromt he one that had been built in Jar'kai... a massive combination of offices, the floor and secure landing pads with a myraid of internal and external defenses designed to make it one of the most secure locations in the city second only to the new Atrisian palace. Xianlong palace and Xam'chi or even Jar'kai barely matched it in terms of scale and work as they imported hijarna stone for it and tunqstoid for the frame... this was going to be something impressively hard to penetrate with blaster cannons and even harder in its design to break or tear down. The Empress though was next to her in the airship as it was coming in close and smile.

"Well now that is looking impressive." the emporess said it and standing there on the deck of the airship as the yovshin guards around them were standing tall and ready. her own personal yovshin who had been part of her escort on Atrisia before and fled with her... now were back were some of her most trusted and the Onna-Bugeisha were what she had resurrected. Strong and resourceful yovshin with children yes so they were dedicated in two places but they also served because protecting the Atrisian commonwealth would protect theirs and many others children. "It is and hopefully we shall be able to refill it with the voices of hundreds of planets once again."

The airship was coming down into the city.. it was massive and being built well to be an improvement. Sleek buildings, streets that could double in times of a crisis and attack if it came to it as a defensible chokepoint. The one sided crystasteel overhangs that obscured visibility but allowed them to see everythign and even the light to filter through. It was afterglow panels that would absorb the sun and add additional power. Junko was walking around with the empress to see it.. the massive bridge that would lead to the main part of the city from the smaller part was also being worked on. Dozens of turret emplacements that would narrow and create chokepoints on it. Gravity traps to launch when activated vehicles and troops off to the side.

They were able to walk towards the sunken area, from here the lower sections of the city were visible as it was a massive honey comb of interconnected tunnels and rooms that went to the base of the old plateau then expanded outwards. Neo Jar'kai was massive but as a network of defenses and tricks it was actually expanded to the first wall that surrounded the city... then it was between the first and second with more land and soldiers, bases that could quickly respond. The final stretch was between the second and third wall which was closely monitored and taken care or. Like the rest of the cities that were getting defenses with the three different walls.

The recessed area was getting its massive overhang.. the seats for what would be hopefully thousands of different worlds... what would give them all somewhere to work and speak and plan. The senate building of the republic wasn't far from their mind as it did give the impressive of a massive united body and the Commonwealth was at least goin to try and mirror that. THey had been inviting and getting the worlds that were part of the commonwealth previously and a few other worlds such as their colonies that had been expeanded upon. Where they could look around and JUnko stood with the empress in the central chamber that went up to look at all of the rings of areas and displays.

"This is turning out better then expected." The empress spoke with a smile on her face while different engineers from some of the worlds which needed special requirements for their offices or seating then they would be able to get it. The jedi master herself was checking out some parts of it as the guards who had been brought in wore their specialized jade armor.. designated to protect specifically this location and shadex shards were working with them like Eternity who was leading the forces of force sensitive crystals and iron knights. The high marshal came towards them and was larger then Junko but compared to his first body not quite as much. "Princess... Empress."

Junko looked at the shadex with a smile on he face as she and the Empress came there... "Eternity." She nodded as the Empress came closer and was looking up at the mechanical body it used. "This is the Hgh Marshal you have spoken about in the past? I was expecting... well ah.... he is...." She seemed a a loss for words as the jedi master was taking in it and she was well she had forgotten that yeah some of them didn't actually know what he was... they might be plenty surprised. "Yes.. I have forgotten how he might look to someone who hasn't seen him before... ahhh Eternity is nice though the shards are some of the oldest friends."

The Empress was looking at her and gave a nod. "Well... yes this can be jarring but welcome to Atrisia Eternity... I know you have been here for awhile and protecting the people. THe Iron knights you have brought with you will have a place here for as long as we can offer it." She bowed her head but looked now at some fo the Iron knights that were with them... they stood tall and aided in the construction with the heavier materials that were being used to turn the parliament chambers into a protective area... like the rest of the city with its thick and heavy doors, dividers and sections that were much harder to move having to be on anti gravity rails.

The rest of it she could see and they had room where the gentoku trains could move around and provide armored transportation here... the starports being in highly secured areas might make evacuation harder but they were able to see some more parts of it. The constructed undertunnels that they were made for the protection of the people. Each of the living units could exit into underground shelters. There was the area around the parliament building was mostly clear. In truth it had orchide platforms set up to defend it that were able to move around. It had droids and soldiers who were be set up and shield generators as well as its own buried power station.

Her and the empress though couldn't stay in the build and watch it.. they were touring the city and seeing from the inside outwards to the furthest walls after all and Neo Jar'kai would serve as a basis... doing this here would work to handle things like Xam'chi and Xianlong... make newer more modern and defensible locations while maintaining the astetics of Ancient Atrisia. Since the anshin seemed to constantly be bypassed and teleported through well she only had so much more ideas in terms of defensive and protection for the people. Make it almost absolute in how they were going to be handling it until the rest of the world and the system came online as a massive entity.

That was actually the next destination though as they went down into the central chamber that the Emperor and Empress would have for themselves to come out and oversee everything else. The galaxy map showing the Tokaido cluster with the dozens of systems and all of their member worlds. They had more as some of the systems had two or three planets.. colonies of Atrisia as well had a voice where they had managed to survive and establish communications. Junko could see more of it as the lights remained and monitoring stations were being installed in the ionized gasses to keep track of it and look for smugglers or pirates.

There was more as well, they had set it up perfectly... or as perfect as can be with ionic flowers around the system. Adjusting it to absorb the radiation and energy discharges of the cluster the flowers would be able to sustain themselves and combined with monitoring stations could be directed to target enemy vessels and literally pick at them like gnats as they were navigating through the commonwealth space... it would be possible to clear the way but they had ships dedicated to literally deploying them and manufacturing them... they could lay them down a lot faster and rebuild them then most would be able to get through them which was the point to soften up for the fleet.

She knew int he longrun that there was some things... there was plenty that bypassed everything to appear on the worlds and then their threats and actions disabled security... it seemed a common practice to let this happen and never try to improve upon it or stop it because it made groups look much better when they suddenly countered and came back from it... except if that was the only thing being done then you saw it as cliched and boring... no she much preferred something better as they brought attention to the other worlds in the commonwealth. They were working on re-establshing the ties and trades lines as the ancient Tokaido hyperlane was working within the cluster.

Where they were workignthough also gave them some better ideas.. a smile was on the face of the Empress who found what she had been looking for. One of he cantina's that were set up around the city and they were celebrating with the latest festival she had done. The people who were there had opened and while it isn't a massive city filled with people.. they were working with the workers and get them commerce and early economies for the planet. Building it from the ground up as they were toiling away and Junko entered the building with the empress who opened her arms. "Welcome, I am glad to see some of our people here."

The shopo owners were simply dressed, some fo the first who had come to join them in the city and rebuild it as they had taken on a few things.. namely they were providing a service for very cheap prices to the workers but when the city was properly opened and others moved in they would be able to raise the prices. There was the first schools being set up and medical centers as they were taking notes from some of the best in the galaxy and designed it to be able to handle heavy amounts of trauma and problems with supplies. The Kiyomi being able to produce and upgrade their medical grade supplies helps since they had bacta production modules for ships.

Their education system was being designed and crafted to churn out highly educated scholars who could function in any place across Atrisia.. the military academies were being set up to teach them mentally as much as physically. She knew there was going to be sports and even they were setting up a podcasting circuit here. Something that would be able to function outside of the planet if they wanted to venture and explore the galaxy. Shipwrights and manufacturing were being designed to provide the best in terms of design and a sort of utopia style but they were not entirely calling it utopia as that would attract the wrong elements wanting to ruin it.

So Junko focused herself and refocused.. they were checking out the shops but above them were some other parts, sectional lattice shielding that would go over areas of the city. Air purifiers and scrubbers which kept the oxygen of the city fresh and clean and would be able to detect dangers in he air... Hijarna stone walls and frames to the building so that they would be able to stand tall. The metal door ways were opening for her and empress while they moved through and could feel the change in the air from the containment shields which were another layer of protection littered throughout the better more improved parts of it.

Other areas of the city was the education center that they had been building.. hgher levels of education that they had developed in terms of galactic and Atrisian history. THey were setting it up with recruitment centers to get military service as soon as they were through the schooling systems. Foreign and offworlders who would be teaching languages and history from other worlds. Colonies, offshoots like the Kiribi, Seoulians and Jin who would hopefully be coming to the planet and working with them. THey had sent out the feelers and even expansion efforts into the Farlax sector to establish a slower moving expansion... more then Akio did possibly.

Junko knew that the possible work though to get to the Farlax sector would require a lot more work and danger.. they were trying to solidify certain aspects of it.. they wanted to ensure that parts of what they faced... that they had to deal wit wouldn't pose a problem and one of those was the dragon heads. Atrisian criminal elements that were around the commonwealth and what had sprung up from their prosperous nature... it became affulant for there to be possible crimes. Jia Ren was one such aspect but there were others.. there were dangerous elements that they would hopefully be able to lure out and stop from preying on the people.

That was another thing they were working on, investigations and challenges to try and find the 8 dragon heads who would pose a problem to the overall commonwealth criminal activity. THey were not just on Atrisia.. they would work on that and better cartography to the commonwealth itself... where they were being able to check it out. The Empress stood next to her as they brought up a map for the two to look at showing the currently mapped commonwealth as well as what defensive measures were being worked on as Ezo and Sakura were around. She wanted to work with and try to form stronger rlations with the Jin.

There was also the people of Seoul system and Kiribi who they were looking to improve relations with.. both planets were far far out of the way but expansion and trade would be much more beneficial and if they could set up using backwater systems a trade route that was exclusive to the planets and Commonwealth well it would mean for a few things... mainly that they could bypass some of the horrible problems and dangers with the CIS first doctrine... or with some of the problems that were becoming more and more present she could see in where they ultimately faced opposition. THe economic stimulus of the commonwealth was more their primary concern.

"Hmm." The voice of the empress came out as they were looking and bringing up information for themselves here.. getting the holographic map that would let them navigate through the city with its raised levels and platforms. There was the mountain itself that they were able to walk and move through but it doubled even managed to triple as a sort of bunker as they were reinforcing the soldiers who would be here... they were also setting up manufacturing within the city as shielding both from bombardment and containment which would make it harder for enemy troops to move around. They were making shafts and sections Atrisian security could move around.

They were looking at some of the other parts here... the construction efforts were coming in and the jedi princess brought them finally towards the steps of the palace. The central tower itself would serve for all of them to see and for all of the royals to visit as they were adopting something far more secure with dozens of palaces and forts where the royal family could be located for security purposes and moved around. The better the security that they have been working on it. Those measures plus what they could have for on site soldiers and yovshin as the area around the palace was filled with estate like housing for the yovshin when off duty.

She was leading the empress up the steps and the pair fo them would be able to check out a few parts of it. Where they were going and where well the empress would be housed as the thick stone doors were reinforced with a second set and a middle layer of tunqstoid which would require gravity tracks to move it out of the way. The interior alcoves were designed with pop out turrets, combat droids who would be able to move in quickly and ray shielding that would be set up to hold back anything short of energy pass through. The longer hallway was getting affixed ith more turrets and an esclision and tangle foot field that would be for intruders.

The long hallway came into the throne room which was having alcoves designed for the yovshin.. they were within striking distance of anyone who would be standing there but not entirely visible. An optical illusion of the room that made it seem larger as above defensive turrets and partitions were being designed. The byo screens themselves could be retracted and set up depending on who was there. The empress had approved the design of the defensive screens and they were meant to be a special version exclusive in the palaces of Atrisia which would be weaved with phrik and cortosis. Infused with energies to make them able to handle a lightsaber.

The throne itself was a seat on the raised dais that allowed the emperor and empress to sit together or alone, with their heirs below them and then the special investigator and chamberlain. The main heads of government around them who maintained the functions of the cities could appear via hologram in the sides at alcoves or in person as was being tested and thick metal shutters that would keep them safe were being installed. More defenses like energy dampeners and kinetic dampeners were set up within the audience area, it would make it much harder for attackers while the yovshin could wait and prepare to strike. Force dampening in the recessed area would also be important as a nutrient frame was being designed with a yasalimiri.

She could feel the effects of the nullification bubble that was being fashioned and the audience area perfectly fit within it. The measurements meant to shape it and protect them before the recessed area had the first level of yovshin and screens around it. Hiding and obscuring the defenses. Thicker screens of transparasteel which would serve and be able to be retracted down into the floors themselves to open it up. The tanglefoot field which would trip up anyone who was coming as well as the thrones themselves. There were recessed shield generators designed to protect as well as dampeners that the security designers were constructing.

"Everything is being made to specifications correct." The empress said it as she was standing there and had found one of the thrones to check it out. The engineers were tinkring and touching it up as they tested and one motioned for her. "Yes empress, we are testing out the resonating shield so if there is an attack it will be turned back on whoever is launching it. With biometric failsafes in place in case someone tries to turn it on you. The palace AI will be running in the background though and will only be accessible to you and the royal family." He was bringing it up as the security systems of the palace were getting encoded quickly and connected to the other palaces on the planet.

That was a big part of it... the other palaces were goingto be set up as a similar design in terms of the throne room. It would be an important part so that no matter where they were this aspect of the atrisian court would serve itself to unite and increase the global communications. Junko was checking out some things with the empress who was going to the twin thrones and the white marble of it with aurodium veins and encrusted with gemstones that had been showing the different worlds that were within the commonwealth. Each planet they got to join them brought a jewel of gem that would go into the thrones for the emperor and empress.

"These thrones of yours were an interesting idea. The dark world where you found it was strange I will admit as it seemed to be more a place for pirates but... even I am coming around to the idea of sitting upon it." A smile was on her face though while she had seemed to produce a bottle of sake from... somewhere.... the Rice Wine Empress lived up to her name and she wasn't a lush or alcoholic who just drank all of the time and harmed herself or others... If anything she actually had worked to make the people happy, festivals and celebrations of accomplishments... advances and trying to show them that they didn't have to be a royal to be beneficial to Atrisia.

The empress had some other things that they were working on. There was revamping the educational programs with groups like the army and navy.. they were getting more for the average.. somewhat. The Atrisian ideals of honor and discipline well they were carrying over into the normal school as mandatory service was a possibility to mostly instill national pride. They were checking it out and without propoganda they were trying to give all of them a choice as expansion and isolation was being worked on to make it and the neighboring worlds within the commonwealth secured as well as more united. Junko smirked though at the idea as she was setting up some more educational centers.

"We of course also have hospitals to view.. they have been working to improve the wards I know and the technology thanks to our engineers like the chiss and zeltron refugees... With their technical skill and wookiee, twi'lek and herglic skills, they had melodies who were able to work on the underwater areas of the planet and could mine without causing massive disruption. With some reinforcement they were checking out a handful of the other species like ewoks who had been brought after someone tried to skin them for fur pelts. A handful of other species that were in need at the time and had found a place to settle on the planet.
