Dev Shadows of Atrisia

The area they came out though also overlooked a small valley of the island... thick canyon walls around them, one main entryway which was from above and she could see the projected canopy which masked it likely as part of the mountain with hardlight... the sensor bafflers designed to make it appear to sensors and scanners similar to the surrounding area and visual scans would do much the same but it looked like the primary staging area for the central hub of the installation. From here they could branch out to the other facilities on the island with tunnels and unless you knew what you were looking for... it would be almost impossible to get through and find.

"Now this is impressive" Junko could see more of it, the island was just the start but here the central shaft was connected to geothermal vents which allowed it to travel down several levels and they created a facility for housing what would be a massive defensive measure... the drone fighters were not pilot operated which could make them. The fighters they had designed were good for their pilots but having a swarm drone would be an impressive thing and overwhelming with back up as they were looking at jedi vectors and ships that had been designed to be slaved wih some of the more complicated systems.

She had found they looked at a couple of things like that.. the vectors cannons alone were obscenely powerful using kyber crystals to lock them from use by others but they could also cleave ships much larger then themselves in half when fired... be controlled with precision by a force user and fly in formation... using some of those systems with slaves circuits and their more talented pilots might actually be able to do much more thanks to the advances in their own technology but there was also the chance that they would be able to build upon the design with AI assisted flying ships... the AI wouldn't be able to overtake control and take over but it would be able to like an astromech droid fly the ship.

Junko was checking out some more of it as she saw the automated drone ships getting into position they were like vulture droids as well able to patrol the area and defend it... their size making them close enough to walkers without being massive and compared to some other ships the second generation would be having smaller and more compacted systems. Hyperdrives that they would be able to use and build to turn Atrisian ships into ones that are designed to be larger on the inside with more advanced methods to compress the molecules. If they could do it and experiment then they would be working on how to fit even more systems into the fighters to compete with larger ships.

She could see it starting here though as a secondary defensive spot it wasn't as largely known to outsiders which would mean it was safe and if the worse case scenario happened... like it usually did then they would have it here to back them up... same as the other islands that housed the droids for reconstruction purposes. "Now this will be even more impressive.. I must admit." She looked at it and going down she was curious how deep they had managed to make it but knew that with the living mountain the islands were in a different state now. "I know the islands have become different with the living mountain being discovered but it does make harder for some of the expansions."

"We thought about that and the living mountain is well alive.. it makes it hard but it also doesn't seem to mind so long as people don't go to deep. We have been setting up and established a sub level here that can house millions in the event of attack. We have droids and defensive capabilities... as well as our own self contained weapon and food manufacturing." She said it and was looking at a few of the things that had managed to be created. Junkocould see a few of the sub levels and they were heading to the lft to go down there as likely this connected to some of the artificial stations that would be under the waters and monitor everything to control the storms... much like the weather devices that they had on the surface.

Lau revealed more when the lift got lower and the inner areas were just as clean and prestine... maybe even more so as they had layered shielding and guns... this was a kill zone with reconstructor droids that would literally break down quickly and cut up debris that fell into it. The soldiers who were working on things and the combat engineers who were setting up to be able to create these untested but impressive defenses... with layered redundancies... back up systems, secondary and tertiary defensive measures. Experience had shown her that there was a massive danger in this as most teleported through defenses to upset everything but the work was there.

The lowest level though was three below the pit as one could think of itand looked into natural vains of the living mountain that were being used... the creature was alive and the thumping of its pulse could be heard when not in the vibration and sound proof rooms... the massive sense of disorientation that it brought as well as the dangerous situation that was being made if it well got bored again... but the Sansin handled that.. she communed with it and the mountain didn't want to move it wanted to live and disliked people attacking it.... because it was a mountain and it was much different then some of the creatures that they had encountered.

"And this is the lowest levels, we have designated it strictly for storage and what would be the last fallback point. Secured walls, reinforced to survive against an orbital strike from a hyper velocity cannons." She had a better look on her face and the scar was there but it wasn't the high point many others might have seen.. if anything the battles showed what the need for this would be as Junko could see the protective droids they had developed. Mobile sanzang armored walkers that could be used to fill the halls with the beskar plates and provide cover as well as means to block areas off. They had soldiers and droids who were in alcoves.

"As a means we have been looking at vastly improving some of the defensive measures on the planet.. the navy and airships themselves will be getting upgrades and we have the orbital stations which will be coming online.. from drone fighters, to deployment stations which can drop droids down on a warzone if needed. Easier access to combat AI's and systems that will protect without losing the infrastructure of the people being in control." That was the most important part.. they were developing it as controlled by the Atrisians not the AI's to prevent slicing but easing the burden and making the complicated calculations at speeds others could wouldn't hurt.

Junko was looking at the droids who seemed to set it up, where she was checking out the droids were using the advanced storage modules with a dedicated power source and she could see there was inside a self replicating factory to produce more and store them... it wouldn't be infinite but.... it was something able to hold tens of thousands in a pocket dimension deeper down. She rather liked this design and including it in the basements of palaces and military facilities would serve them better as a means to reinforce back up... maybe not with clones or biots but dedicated war droids they could bring out and if they used it correctly they could set it up to hold the vital components that were generally targeted or used to detect bases.

Lau was showing her more as the lower command chambers were designed as a circular chamber with a map of the island... that could pull out and show the city and the planet. She could see where the tunnels went on the island itself and it was laid out in a fairly simple but smart way with each main point of the island and a way for them to have visual communications as well as line of sight laser communications which were much harder to intercept and disrupt... there were pressor tubes that would launch and allow them to get across the island like a swarm quickly enough and pillboxes that tied toturrets. "Now this is much more impressive to get an idea of how islands can be fortified."

Lau gave a nod of her head to that. "If you want we can send out some of the seconds and have them refer or start checking the other islands to try and build up the defenses for the beings there.. I know it is not an easy thing but the other groups on the different islands do offer unique perspectives from across the galaxy and Atrisia has worked to preserve them." She wasn't wrong and Junko gave a nod if he mandalorians could make fallout shelters for the children of the jedi or the weavers then it was a chance... it didn't have to be used but it was not exactly a bad thing to have in case of problems... the children og the jedi would be easier to convince.. they trusted many of the Atrisians decisions.

The weaver might take a little convincing but they were just as able to help out and might even be able to create something for the Atrisian people.. they knew how to weave the force into objects and make just about anything... that the Atrisians had introduced them to the dreaming and the Bangmangi station helped greatly endear them since weaving the force... in a realm that is literally able to be shaped from the force through thoughts was powerful. They had already shown skill making crystalsand weaving starship stealth systems... the white current plating was betterthen most stealth armor on the market... but there was always a chance for them to make more.

She could also see ideas forming in her mind for what the new airships would become.. they wanted to work on many of the ways to improve travel so tghe boomtube project has been in the work to create a global travel network for military and royal families... with extensions down the line for cities and villages that would allow for quicker travel... always moving forward for those who wanted it while the others would be able to keep their world... their home however they wanted it to be. THey were already working on how the people would be able to better improve their quality of life so improve the planet as well.

She could see some of the others who had come with them were observing as well and here was one of the first times her handmaidens saw the less exciting but still important aspects of being a traveling princess across the planet... they were getting into the nitty gritty... well polished... cause Atrisia was less and less getting grit to its name. She knew a couple other things they were setting up as an overlay of the geothermal vents from Chitei were able to be seen and there was a few entrances that the Chi-Oni used across the planet now that it was open. THey came out and visited the descendants of their society from Ancient Atrisia.

She would have to figure out a time to go back and try to understand them as well.. the visit had been brief compared to many things but the news that relations between both sides had opened and construction efforts were happening... were promising. THe Chi-Oni Atrisians were much easier to meet halfway as they didn't care about the normal Atrisians so long as it was not offworlders and that was more then simple to handle. Refugees were being given their own places and resources after all so true Atrisians could have the rest of the world and thankfully tradition and decorum won out over hating everything and trying to shame the people on their past actions.

Junko was looking at many more of the things as well.. she was really trying to figure it out as Lau seemed pleased with herself.. then she brought up parts of where they could look over the entryways on the island itself. "Here is where we are focusing though on the less traditional... it will be a more friendly one for trade and meeting outsiderrs to the clan.. with a small market place but the most important part will be the guilds... A sort of mercenary guild for those who need to benefit from skilled soldiers across the planet or want to contract for offworld endeavors like on the moons and otherr planets we know you have been terraforming in the system"

JUnko gave a nod to that and if the clan here could expand outwards and give them a sort of mercenary guild on the different worlds it would be something to better bring worlds into the commonwealth that would want the protection. Once the region had been taken it seemed to be ignored by the GA... so it fell to them and they wouldn't care as much about a few of the things being done. She knew there were a lot more stirrings though and finding worlds out there in the old commonwealth charter was an important aspect... some might not be inhabited which made things easy and some of the systems. They just needed to work within their own space and make it happen.

Junko sat down in one of the seats though and it was rather comfortable compared to some she had seen in shelters... which was nice. There was also food here brought down and tea for all of them that would let them look at the view screens and see parts of the island. The boats were in the distance and she could see much more about it before Lau sat down across from her and joined her in the small feast. Her handmaidens were eating with them and her bodyguard the boughtine reaver sat there for moment with her arms crossed over her chest before the features on her face lightened up. She looked much different with her face clean of the paint.

"We are almost done here we have managed to see a whole lot more then expected which is good. Come times that we need it the model Alor Lau created might be able to be used across the islands and as a standard for us." JUnko was thinking larger term though as she knew they had other endeavors that were being worked on... they needed to be able to replicate for the most part... essential supplies might change depending on the world itself though or some attributes of the design and station but if they could streamline the process of construction quickly enough thhey would be able to make it for rapid deployment kits in the military vessels.

They seemed to agree and Lau was bringing them back towards the entrance as they took a different route and lift. The jedi princess was also able to see some more of the testing as their beskar forge was working to upgrade and augment the armor that was being worn by them. She could see one of the armories as well that was being stocked with military grade equipment including their newest model drones and roller droids that would be able to move around the island and target ernemy vehicles. Equipment packs with the different model equipment including reinforced barriers and shielding gates to secure rooms or entire areas.

Lau brought them out at one of the secondary entrances with a service lift. The droids that were set up on it to defend were sanzang class armored suits with two alcoves protecting the pilots and the repulsors on them while giving a good coverage and crossfire for soldiers. They could advance forward to the entrance and use the beskar plates to provide cover for the soldiers defending the lift from attackers without endangering the exposed pilots. It was a smart way to do things and she could see the outer area was being set up with more defensive towers... the canyon of the island curved allowing them to make a high grade shield for aerial coverage and turrets covering the pathway.

There was an airship that Junko could use set up with two of the metsuka there... bodyguards who were armed and ready as news was brought to her of developments. The Galactic alliance was both meeting diplomatically with the silvers and some senator was censuring them to try and call out their lack of effort in aiding against the sith. Tensions were always high but protecting the royal family was important enough. She saw the looks of the two metsuka and one was a zeltron with asuka combat armor and a rifle.. the other she grinned at seeing with it being an Atrisian from one of the colonies... her tattoos showing from Shri-Tal and Eisei expedition.

Her handmaidens were just as colorful she knew one was from Chitei which they didn't tell anyone but she was taller and broad shouldered... looking like a muscular Atrisian but based on everything she was just closer to their ancestors that they were learning more about. The other was lithe, smaller in frame but she was faster from the military who had been chosen because she could keep up with Junko.... that neither of them were well involved with her helped make it easier as they walked onto the airship that had been brought over for them. Heading over to the island in the distance that could just barely be seen was an important thing now that Lau had aided them in this endeavor.

This island though as she got a look there was a small area which she could see a valley surrounded with a secondary facility that had not been on the map but she could see why quickly. From the air it looked imposing and dangerous... begging for attack from fighters... from the ground going up it had complete coverage from anti fighter and anti star-ship cannons that were in the forest and could pop up from cover to just destroy anything flying at it... a nice deecoy they would likely start adopting in the future., She could see some of the other things that they were showing now and drones were flying ovedrhead to map the area and make sure the island was covered from all angles.

Junko looked from the deck of the airship as the scout fliers moved around and it was quiet above all... the repulsors of the craft ensured that they were silent when moving around the skies which gave way to less pollution of the environment. Military ships were in the clear blue waters below them as the sleek white ships were massive and towering but the airship easily sailed over them. Long and thin with armored hulls and long range weapons. She knew the submerged section had submersibles and aquatic assault troopers from the military who were able to fight and clear the way alongside the regular soldiers.

They were also able to see much more... the sea walls were huge and their construction massive... the turrets heavier though as the few ways through it had two gaps that were heavily monitored and had ships on either side... its own airships patrolling and smaller vessels checking everything out. Aquatic droids that moved around to observe much more. She was seeing on the deck though some of the mandalorians who stayed before leaving with nods of their head and descending with repulsor packs that they were equipped with. The newest models that had been created to allow quick movement as Lau spoke. "Good luck princess." SHe said it and put on her helmet before jumping off of the deck of the ship.

"Princess, we are nearing the next island." Phaidor said it and looked at Junko as her bronze skin gleamed. SHe was one of the islanders after all and this must have been a nice change of pace from being that far inland at the capital city... more so since while there was a port it was mostly landlocked now that some of the rivers had managed to dry up. Junko was looking at her and smiled though as she looked down and the ocean was there... the interest for the few who were here was great as she laced her fingers in the island beauty smirking a little. "We have some time at least for now... the leader here on the island is not set to meet me and the Altisian jedi who are here aren't exactly eager to.... reveal themselves."

THat got a laugh but Phaidor looked at Junko and then around as she eyed the cabin and they moved quickly spending a few hours while awaiting confirmation that the Altisian jedi received their message and were wanting to meet them. Where they were checking out a few other areas though she knew the altisians had developed a community here... they didn't make a temple they made a sanctuary.. the jedi statues around the island served as a force barrier and masked parts of the island itself making it seem smaller and obscured... but you could pass through it and the paradise that they had created could be seen then. The children of the jedi were a different breed after all.

Junko thought back to the first time she had met the Altisian jedi and it had not been expected.. they had been on Atrisia for years before... they had hidden here under the noses of emperors, first order and many more simply to protect the children... a fact she respected but that others did not fully understand what they were. They had attacked her at first bbut once they realized the jedi didn't mean them harm had revealed themselves here on the island... different children from force sensitive bloodlines as well as a means to try and preserve the teaching the the jedi through knowledge of holocrons that had been transcribed to tattoos like an atrisian pillowbook.

Phaidor was right there with her though while able to move... giving her some interest when the airship headed down into the small secluded valley that was covered in mists from the air... then she felt it the tickling sensation across her skin passing thrhoughh the white current barrier and revealing the lush valley below... the children of the jedi used massive kyber carved statues to shield and cloak the island so it looked largely unexplored but in actuality it was only moderately unexplored with a village in the central valley and riveways leading in. Air defenses around their temple and a lake that they had dug out and filled... snow capped peaks able to look down and what was a secondary illusion with a single cave entrance.

Everything about where they were and what they were working on was a nice thing.. she could see parts of it and passing a secondary barrier the air changed. THe island temperature was humid but within the small bubble they controlled it to make the air ideal. Circulating breezes, the scent of flowers around them and the buildings as the airship touched down gave way to the port of the Altisians which had jedi statues. The kyber arches and statues had been designed for the jedi here to mirror what some considered their first temple on Belsavis but it was just one of several where they had hidden out. Matsu had talked about them and jedi who believed in marriage, family and bloodlines was different enough.

Junko exited the airship down the ramp and she could see much more... the Altisian jedi were not hiding completely that they were here like others... they had streets, they had buildings but it was designed in a way that from the air it seemed to blend in with the island unless you knew where they were and you could see the snow capped mountains around them as well as the dome of energy that was designed... the weather and atmosphere control stations were here to protect themTHey had set up the streets and were developing them using a means that could be rapidly deployed... the sheets of it more in modular sections and buildings abble to be constructed off of it as utilities were shieldinged under it.

The speeders they had here were simple enough and hovered over the road allowing them to get around the village if they needed to. The building were kazue stone and carved to resemble sections of the jedi temple they had left so there was that benefit as well as their statues. "Welcome princess." Junko turned and looked at the golden skinned woman who was there and had been one of the Atrisian Wukong but she worked with the Altisians as a sort of middle ground. "Master Swan." Junko bowed looking at her and the Atrisian Altisian jedi had been a child of the jedi.. descendant from one of the jedi masters of the once fallen republic.

There were more of them, children from a dozen jedi bloodlines that had been cultivated throughout the centuries.. to keep them strong and to make sure that families continued on for longer times. the Halcyons the Sunriders, Skywalkers, Solo... groups that were there like Swan, Katarn and Durron... there was even descendants from families like Windu and the Shans... ancient blood lines, ancient species hidden away. Other worlds with Altisian enclaves have much the same. Junko was looking at some more of the things they had managed to create here though and she had to give it a nod of her head... the jedi were coming into their own.

"You look like you are thinking it over." Master Swan spoke and she was more then capable to be their liason among the Altisian and the Atrisians... she bridged the gap well for their grandmaster who was here. The woman was in some ways a brute but in the ways that helped protect her people and defended their home. "A little but also admiring the works you have been doing here, the cloaking field you created on top of the bubble dome seems at first a little redundant but it also works as you are housing one of the more settled islands here... at least there are a lot more roads and less underground facilities."

That got a nod of her head. "Ah so you have been to the mandalorians... Alor Lau is different in her approach but they are also more warriors so military facilities make sense." She said it and had a grin on her face clasping her hands behind her back as they started to walk around the small city. Junko could see more of it and the speeders were simple enough for them, they could go across the island quickly except for the shrouded valley. "Yes she has a different approach but I prefer contrasting situations... we have all of these islands that have been settled by a number of groups and it adds to the diversity but also to the defensive nature of Xam'chi."

That got a moments looks but she was showing Junko around and the jedi shops were a beautiful thing in truth... kimono's flowers and smaller uneti trees that they were able to cultivate... the crystals that were harvested were not the kyber ones but instead an adegan type native to Atrisia. She could see one of the jedi attending to it and the wooden panel floors gleamed from recent cleanings. They were also developing other things... paneling that could be used in the more ornate builldings... what looked like a paper window but was in truth metal and transparaasteel able to absorb and refract the light. Junko could see some of the things that they had laid out.

"The Evacuees that Captain beifong bbrought us we have been finding placement for... thousands of beings and dozens of species displaced from across the galaxy. Those lion turtles are beautikful and we have been trying to make homes more comfortable for the As-Aki." There were a lot that had been rescued from colony worlds. She knew they were fidning ways to introduce many of the species into the environment and areas of Atrisia with new livestock for farming, new plants and animals as well as a dozen or so new species that created massive aamounts of diversity across the planet and in some of the regions.
