Made from dried leaves of the Shajamai Tree, a species only found on the desert planet, Shajamai tea has become a culinary and cultural staple for Ra'Kathans. Drunk on the same level that caf is drunk on most other worlds, and prepared everywhere from Wan'anteen huts to marketplace stalls, to even the great palace of the Kemotar himself, Shajamai tea can be found almost everywhere on the desert planet and for cheap prices. The tea is combined often straight with boiled water, but certain places and people are able to add certain enhancing ingredients to it; the most common being a couple of fresh Scry-mint leaves, which changes makes the taste more 'sharp' and awakening. Even without the added leaves, Shajamai tea can be a soothing drink that calms frayed nerves and increases mental productiveness, although these properties and the pleasing taste of the tea vanish if not consumed soon after the tea has been prepared. Soothing, delicious, and a staple of Ra'Kathan culture, Shajamai tea is a one-of-a-kind beverage that is almost a symbol of Ra'Katha in it of itself.
