Description: Developed by Rendili Stardrive, the Shield Class Medical Frigate is one of the shipbuilding company's newest starships. Not meant as a vessel of war, the Shield Class Medical Frigate is instead meant to provide a safe and secure ship to treat patients on the go. Whether it be due to a malfunction causing ship destruction, swooping in to rescue civilians under pirate attack, or diving into the battlezone to save lives as casualties mount, the Shield Class goes to where it can protect and save the most sick and wounded that they can. Earning their name by having an advanced shield generator meant to absorb impact from hostile fire or hazardous conditions. Making way for the medical facilities on board by sacrificing hanger space and weaponry to power their equipment, the Shield Class boasts bacta and kolto tanks, clean rooms for surgical operations, medical assistance droids, and the rest of the modern medical experience a mobile hospital requires. The Shield Class does have a hanger bay though, relying on the two starfighter squadrons within as their primary defense. With six shuttles aboard as well to ferry occupants onto the ship or down to a planet's surface where perhaps better facilities await.
