SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Integration with Shield Systems: The Shield Receiving Interface (SRI) is integrated directly into the ship’s existing shield systems. It acts as an interface layer between the ship’s primary shield generators and the incoming shield energy from the boosting ship.
  • Adaptive Energy Absorption: SRI is equipped with adaptive energy absorption technology, ensuring that it can seamlessly absorb and integrate the energy transferred during the Testudo Guardian Matrix’s shield boosting. This adaptation allows it to work with various types of shield technologies.
  • Secure Communication Protocols: SRI communicates securely with the boosting ship’s energy transfer mechanism. This communication involves data exchange to determine the optimal amount of energy to transfer, the duration of the boost, and any specific adjustments needed based on the recipient ship’s shield configuration.
  • Energy Distribution Matrix: Once the shield energy is received, SRI employs an energy distribution matrix to evenly distribute the additional power across the ship’s shield emitters. This ensures a balanced reinforcement of the entire shield perimeter.
  • Real-time Monitoring: SRI continually monitors the status of the receiving ship’s shields during the boost. Providing real-time feedback to both the boosting and receiving ships, allowing for adjustments or premature termination of the boost if necessary.
  • Harmonization Integration System: A module that allows for the smooth harmonization of shield frequencies at great distances, utilizes heuristic data processing to automatically ensure both the receiving ship and the generating ship resonate on the same shield frequencies and harmonics.
  • Redundancy and Safety Measures: SRI includes redundancy and safety measures to prevent any adverse effects on the ship’s native shield systems. If anomalies are detected, the SRI can automatically disengage from the boosting process to safeguard the receiving ship.
  • Variations: Different ship classes may have variations of the SRI, tailored to their specific shield configurations. Larger capital ships might have multiple SRIs to accommodate distributed shield systems.
STRENGTHS
  • Shield Integration: The SRI works to integrate shields from one vessel with another, ensuring smooth frequencies and harmonization. Enabling the Testudo Guardian Matrix to be deployed.
WEAKNESSES
  • Ion: May short circuit or shutdown the SRI.
DESCRIPTION

An internal system that allows a vessel to share its shield strength with another. The SRI is part of a two-tiered system and requires both the SRI and the TGM (Testudo Guardian Matrix) to operate. The idea for the paired system was so that Primo Victorian Shipwright could focus on building vessels that could act as a mobile shield battery for larger engagements. The development team notes that the SRI as well as the TGM need to be implemented on vessels that would be able to produce enough power for the two modules to work as intended.
