Shifting Strategies

Dominion Lost: Ceto

An aquatic world near our borders, Ceto would have been a wonderful acquisition for the Horde. However, our Moross Crusade neighbors beat us to the punch. Obviously, we cannot contest this, and it seems to be a lack of foresight that led to us even attempting to take the planet. We'll deal.

Dominion Focus: Oberon

There's a few of us that have yet to join this Dominion, I'm guilty of it as well. Let's do a bit of rallying and get behind it though. Shouldn't take but 5 of us.

OTHER FOCUSES:

  1. Continue re-organizing the Horde and rehabilitate the Major Faction's appeal to members.
  2. We need to build our subfactions up and use them as a vantage point for appeal. I strongly believe our endorsement of using subfactions will strengthen this faction's foundation.
  3. Accept the fact that change will not come overnight to the Horde. We build bit by bit, day by day. Trudge on.
With that aside...

...does anybody else have any ideas for some stuff we could do?

Fill our section of space with planets, and dominion-ize them all, blitzkrieg style. And on the subfaction front, I suggest putting something in the resource page besides the image. :)

I agree. I've got a lot of projects on my plate for the Horde, this would be one of them.

I say we continue to fill planets and dominion them but we need to get organized and get people posting for the horde. We barely made check in so we need to get our guys going with some sort of event to draw positive attention

We need to stop worrying about territory so much as to what we can do to make our name big.

And regain a lot of respect/honor that was lost with the whole Moross debacle of ragequitting. Basically, our public image sucks.

I'd say finish up the dominion and then, perhaps, begin to slowly work up to threads involving other factions; starting small with, say, a meeting or two, before working up a to a skirmish or three.

If we can prove we can work with the other factions members in skirmishes and the like, we should be able to rebuild a reputation good enough to give an invasion another go.

In Umbris Potestas Est
[member="Tsavong Kraal"] But territory is the most important thing to a faction. Without territory, no new shipyards can be created, no planet-specific resources can be reaped, and no usage of the planet for genetic stock(on behalf of new Vongspawn) can occur.

We can't attract new members if we look bad, and if we don't have many members, we'll fail in invasions or skirmishes. We need to get some more people to join as well as expand our borders.
