Shifting Strategies

In Umbris Potestas Est
[member="Tsavong Kraal"] Other factions are big and imposing on the map. This is one of the main reasons they're able to so easily get new territory. We have ships, you set a hierarchy out, all we need is territory to attract members.

[member="Sarge Potteiger"] Depends on which way we go.

[member="Ven'Rain Sekairo"] If only we were on the same page(2 of 2, that is). :(

I'm in the middle. We need to do a good mix of both. Flesh out our relationships with other factions, build up territory, attract members, get some tech going.
Build a strong foundation and the rest will come easy.

1st order of business from me, update the sub-faction resource pages so people will think they're more than some cool looking picture. Next, dominion a planet or two, maybe even with another faction to improve relations. 3, advertise like HELL.

I totes agree with your point towards me. Ships aren't all that important to me, but I do agree it's nice to get a set armory going for us for members who are interested in that.

I also agree. Some subfaction work needs doing. We've already got a dominion going, as announced in the first post of this thread.

Advertising only goes so far. [member="Sarge Potteiger"] is completely correct that we require activity, and members sporting some Horde insignia to increase our visibility.

Throwing a link to the faction in your signature is a subtle way to do this. People will view it every time you post. Sooner or later, someone will click. If all of us do this, "a little will go a long way" will become a reality for us.

*goes to add Horde link to sig*
If y'all want, I can make a nice little rank/title bar for the Horde that links straight to the faction page. Coding for it is a bit weird, but it works.

Oh. Awkward. In Photoshop, you can provide a 1px stroke. I didn't mean for you to go and outline it, lol.

Perhaps if you could provide the base image without the text, I could provide the text?
