Once they were outside, Jake nodded. "Your first lesson." He then closed his eyes. "Feel the currents of the air around you, and will them to not push as drag against you, but to propel you at your opponent." A faint green glow surrounded his body as he dashed at her. He was swinging the Vibro Blade with his maximum strength. His style was clearly that for a heavier blade though. Using a Vibro Blade like he was doing happened to throw him off by a lot. This problem would need to be adjusted if he was to wield a modern blade effectively. "When we complete your first lesson with the blade, would you mind teaching me how to wield modern weapons so I can hold my own?" asked Jake, as he looked at her. "I need to learn to hold my own in the modern era."

"Would you want a custom weapon once I've gained my full strength back?" asked Jake.

Kat took in a breath, her stance ready, she was a very footwork oriented fighter. Then it goes up the back to the arms, rather than the other way around. She heard his words, however, as he moved, her instincts took over instead. She moved to the side her blade coming up to deflect his off to the side so that most of the power remained, but simply would slide down and off the blade as she kept moving to try and get behind him.

"Aw kark, I messed that up." She admitted. Technically, the movement was exactly what was necessary, it was fast and had the right motions. It was the method used that was wrong. She did that through her own abilities, not through the force. Though effective, that didn't exactly help right now. She was trying to practice the force, not her bladework. "And yeah, though it's not like they've changed too much. Blasters been around for awhile. Personally I've always preferred closed range weaponry, so if you want sniper training, you're asking the wrong person. But most blaster or slughtrowers I know how to get around."

She cocked her head about the question of a custom weapon, "Well...maybe. I've always used what my mentor left me, but she never had a kal. It's like a type of dagger that goes along with the beskad. I usually just use phrik blades but they don't have quite the same design."

Each attempt by her to get behind him would be blocked by him. "Is this really....." He used the Force to enhance his own physical strength via Force Body. "ALL YOU CAN DO?!?" He growled, as he began a rapid series of swings with the Vibro Blade at her. Unfortunately, the blade, not made to withstand the brutal style Jake was employing - broke. It was not in good shape in any sense of the word. "Use the Force. Unleash the power deep within." He unleashed a Force Push at her in an attempt to knock her onto her prosterior. "You need to do better than you are now! Use the Force. If you can do what I said, and even land a touch on me, I will consider today's lesson passed!"
