"Thank you, Sir," the auburn-haired youth said gratefully as he sat down to enjoy the meal. His hunger was apparent as he devoured the food voraciously, leaving not even a crumb on his plate. It was evident that Alex hadn't had the luxury of regular meals.

As Cedwyn mentioned questions, Alex's eagerness showed as he quickly spoke up with several inquiries. "Where exactly are we? How long was I unconscious? And are there any restricted areas on the ship? What is the objective goal for our training sessions today?"

Cedwyn chuckled as the kid made short work of the meal. Seemed that he was going to have his hands full with feeding this one. Something to keep in mind.

"We're on an unknown world, not sure it has a name but it is empty and the air is breathable. Perfect for us to start your training, away from prying eyes." Cedwyn explained, grabbing two training sticks for the combat training after the Force training. "I think it was roughly 13 hours you slept. Must have been really tired, you were totally knocked out." He chuckled as he opened the ramp to the outside and started walking down the ramp.

Looking back at the kid, "no restricted sections but if a door is locked then it is locked for a reason. Probably will give you warning on when not to go exploring specific areas of a ship." He doubted he would have many romantic encounters now that Alex was tagging along with him, a charming, handsome single Bounty Hunter was a great ice breaker, one with a kid following him around seemed more long term investment than a single night of fun.

But Cedwyn wasn't too concerned about that. He knew this kid needed to be trained and he figured it would do them both good for Cedwyn to be the trainer. "Today's objectives? Well, we are going to help you meditate and feel the Force around you, see what you can tap into and see how strong a connection you hold. Then we will start with the basics in Echani and Jedi fighting styles." Cedwyn knew that he was taking a Jedi approach to the training for now, but there would be other skills he would offer that the Jedi might be less willing to teach.

"Nothing you can fail today, since I am not expecting miracles, we just want to know how to start." He reassured the kid, he didn't want Alex thinking he had to demonstrate he was a Master when he was young and untrained. The grassy plains was a perfect place to meditate. "Take a seat, close your eyes and attempt to reach out."

Alex followed Cedwyn down the ramp, eager to explore the new world they had landed on. As Cedwyn explained their location, Alex listened intently, taking in the information about the secluded and nameless world.

Nodding in understanding, Alex made a mental note to respect locked doors and heed any warnings from Cedwyn regarding restricted areas. He trusted Cedwyn's judgment and knew that his safety and well-being were likely the top priority. Trust worked both ways after all.

As they reached the grassy plains, Alex found a spot and settled down, crossing his legs and closing his eyes as instructed. He took off his over sweater and set it in his lap, He had a tank top on underneath and his wrist was now visible. His wrist looked bruised horribly all around it, but otherwise looked rather fine aside from the dark discoloration.

He took a deep breath, allowing himself to relax and focus on the task at hand. With each breath, he delved deeper into a meditative state, trying to quiet his mind and open himself to the presence of the Force. Alex's force signature was already filled with curiosity and wonderment and that only grew out here. He truly was an open book.
As Alex delved deeper into his meditative state, his senses heightened, and he focused on reaching out to feel the presence of the Force. It was like a subtle hum in the air, an energy that surrounded him and connected all living beings in the galaxy. With each breath, he allowed himself to become attuned to this invisible force.

He reached out with his senses, seeking to feel the energy and connection that Cedwyn had spoken about. It was a new experience for Alex, but he was filled with curiosity and determination. He sought to understand his own potential and tap into the power that lay dormant within him.

In the serene surroundings of the grassy plains, Alex began-- He tentatively extended his senses towards Cedwyn's Force signature, it was akin to taking his first wobbly steps as a toddler. He felt a mix of excitement and apprehension, like a child learning to walk for the very first time. His probing was awkward and unsteady, his Force signature stumbling upon Cedwyn's with uncertain curiosity.

As he extended his consciousness outward, Alex's Force signature emanated with a sense of curiosity and eagerness. It was open and receptive, like a beacon seeking knowledge and understanding. It pulsed with a youthful vibrancy, unburdened by the weight of experience. His Force signature had a rawness to it, untamed and untethered, ready to explore the untapped potential within him.

With each interaction, a surge of exhilaration coursed through Alex's being. It was as if he had stumbled upon a hidden treasure trove of knowledge, and his probing was like unearthing the mysteries of the universe. The sensation was both electrifying and humbling, sending shivers down his spine and igniting a fervor within his core.

Yet amidst the exhilaration, there was also a sense of vulnerability. Alex realized that delving into another person's Force signature meant exposing a part of himself, laying bare his own vulnerabilities and insecurities. It was an intimate exchange, an act of trust and vulnerability that forged a deeper connection between them.

As Alex's Force signature entangled with Cedwyn's, he experienced a swirling cascade of emotions. It was like standing on the precipice of a great discovery, the thrill of the unknown beckoning him forward. There was a mix of awe and wonderment, his senses tingling with anticipation as he delved deeper into Cedwyn's essence.

In this awkward and exhilarating dance of probing, Alex could feel the ebb and flow of Cedwyn's experiences. It was as if he was sifting through a trove of memories, glimpsing moments of triumph and moments of defeat. The emotions that accompanied those memories washed over him like a tumultuous tide, filling him with empathy and understanding. The awkwardness was a necessary part of the journey, a testament to his willingness to push beyond his comfort zone and embrace the vast potential of the Force.

With each tentative step, Alex's probing grew bolder, his Force signature intertwining more confidently with Cedwyn's. It was a dance of discovery, a journey of self-discovery and mastery. As the awkwardness slowly dissipated, a newfound sense of purpose and determination emerged, fueling his desire to learn and grow.

In this vast emptiness, Alex's senses honed in on the only other Force signature present—Cedwyn's. It felt distinct and powerful, like a steady flame burning brightly. It exuded a sense of strength and control, tempered by wisdom and the scars of past battles. Cedwyn's Force signature had an air of authority and guidance, resonating with the presence of a mentor.

Drawing upon his newfound connection to the Force, Alex cautiously reached out to probe and investigate Cedwyn's signature further. It was a delicate dance of energy, his own signature intertwining with Cedwyn's in an intricate interplay. With focused intent, he sought to unravel the threads of Cedwyn's Force presence, seeking insights into his mentor's experiences and abilities.

As Alex explored Cedwyn's Force signature deeper , he discovered layers of discipline and expertise. It felt like a well-tempered blade, honed through years of training and honed instincts. There was a deep understanding of combat and an affinity for lightsaber combat techniques. Mixed with that was a subtle hint of something more—a connection to the Echani martial arts, a style known for its grace and precision.

With each passing moment, Alex's Force signature intertwined further with Cedwyn's, forging a bond between teacher and student. The young assassin marveled at the depth and richness of Cedwyn's Force presence, eager to learn and absorb the knowledge it held.

In this silent communion of Force signatures, Alex's own potential began to awaken, guided and shaped by the presence of Cedwyn. It was the start of a transformative journey, where the untrained youth would learn to harness his abilities and become a skilled Force user under the tutelage of his mentor.

This presence was nothing short of intense.

Cedwyn watched as Alex took the position and began meditating in the Force. It was clear for Cedwyn that Alex was focusing on his Force signature in attempts to understand the Echani more. It was understandable to be curious about the strongest Force presence on the world but Cedwyn wanted to expand Alex's view more. He sat in front of his student. "I can tell that you are exploring, feeling things that I am giving out in the Force but I need you to focus elsewhere."

"Feel the nature, the Force flowing around us. Feel the connection in the animals, in the plants, in nature itself. Feel the Light and the Dark. The peace and the chaos. Sense the balance between all things Alex." Cedwyn instructed his student. "The Jedi believe that one must live in harmony with the Force, that bending the Force to your will, to harm others, that is detrimental to the natural order. But chaos lives in the Force naturally, we can feel that but be aware of it. Don't jump down the rabbit hole."

Cedwyn wanted to help Alex understand the Force but also focus on being someone dedicated to the Light Side. He didn't need to be a Jedi but Cedwyn knew that the Dark Side was corrupting and it tainted the soul. It had tainted his soul. So he refused to risk that for Alex. Not to suffer with the pain that Cedwyn had. "Tell me what you feel, how it feels."

As Cedwyn concluded his instructions, Alex opened his eyes, slightly disappointed that he was being redirected from delving deeper into Cedwyn's Force presence. He glanced at his mentor, contemplating the possibilities of what else he could explore within the Force. Nature, animals, plants—the realization struck him. They too were living organisms with their own energy.

"So... it's like channeling motivation and will through the power of thoughts?" Alex questioned, his voice tinged with curiosity as he attempted to articulate his understanding. "It's as if one's will becomes a force, a tangible manifestation of thoughts and intentions. It's a surreal concept, bringing thoughts to life through sensation."

Alex's gaze wandered, seeking to expand his awareness beyond the dominating presence of Cedwyn. He observed the surrounding plant life, feeling its presence as a subtle whisper in the Force. It was a quiet, understated energy compared to the profound aura emitted by Cedwyn. Alex yearned to find something in between, something that would provide a more nuanced connection—a glimpse into the vitality of smaller life forms.

Alex extended his senses further, reaching out to sense the intricate web of life surrounding him. Gradually, he felt the pulsating essence of the grass beneath his fingertips, the gentle rustling of leaves carried on the breeze, and the faint traces of smaller creatures moving about in their habitats.

"It's fascinating," Alex mused, his voice filled with awe. "I can feel the presence of the plant life all around me, woven into the fabric of the atmosphere. It's like a quiet symphony of existence. And I sense something more... the subtle vibrations of smaller life forms, the gentle rhythms of their movements. It's a delicate dance of life, each organism playing its part in the grand tapestry."

As Alex embraced the sensation of interconnected force flowing through all living things, he marveled at the intricate balance between the macro and the micro, the Light and the Dark. The Force was a harmonious orchestra, with each component contributing its unique melody to the universal composition.

"This experience is both humbling and exhilarating," Alex expressed, his voice resonating with a newfound understanding. "I feel... small..."

With his perceptions expanded, Alex eagerly continued his journey of exploration, ready to unlock the mysteries of the Force and uncover the secrets hidden within the natural world. He was so eager in fact he didn't seem to grasp that he was expending a great deal of energy to do this.

As Alex delved deeper into his exploration, fueled by his insatiable curiosity and boundless enthusiasm, an undercurrent of fatigue began to seep into his being. Oblivious to the toll it was taking on him, he continued to expend an immense amount of energy without grasping the consequences of his relentless pursuit.

At first, it was subtle—a faint weariness that whispered at the edges of his consciousness. Ignoring the subtle warning signs, Alex pressed on, his breathing became quicker and somewhat mildly labored, his pulse hastened and he was spiraling with the semblance of Exploration. He had just taken his first few steps and yet Alex was left with the desire to RUN with it.

In a way, this was so strange with how new this all was for him. It was as if Cedwyn took off a blindfold and he could see for the first time.

"If that is the metaphor that works for you, I won't argue. I always feel that the Force as a river, it flows through everything, branches out and connects with all life. Both artificial life like droids as well as organics." Cedwyn stated firmly, "I feel like I am accessing something deep, vast and beyond our comprehension. This connection gives me access to abilities but it is shared, symbiosis, it is not something forced."

Cedwyn looked over to Alex, "there will be time to understand my presence and our bonds. But it is important for you to comprehend how the Force is in general and what one can do with it. That is the focus for today." Cedwyn instructed Alex, he didn't want the kid to feel like he was doing anything wrong or couldn't act the way that he wished, it was just not the focus of the class today. For now, the Force was still very new and he wanted Alex to understand it was not a tool nor something to just bend and break to your will.

"Life is chaotic, freeing and vast. We are small in terms of the galaxy, there are massive number of people out there and it is impossible for us to believe ourselves to be big and important in all this." Cedwyn began, "what we can do is remind ourselves of what we wish to do, act on our wishes and hope that our values ensure us to live out peaceful, content lives." His words mimicked those spoken by his Jedi Master years ago. "For me, while I do not follow the doctrine of the Jedi, I do believe in doing good and doing things that make life better for others, whether that is hunting down criminals, finding lost relatives and returning them or helping others out. Of course, there are times I do things that help me more than others but I am not perfect."

Looking around them, he breathed in, "now it is time to try and connect to the Force. To see what you can do with the Force and see where your talents and skills lie with it." Some had natural talents with innate passive skills while others were more aggressive or combat focused. It was a good chance to see where Alex lied in all that, since it would help Cedwyn guide him further in this training.

As frustration and overwhelming confusion continued to consume Alex, he couldn't help but feel a growing sense of exasperation. The redhead fopping over onto the grass, he stared up at the sky, a mix of emotions running through his mind.

His hands ripped at the grass idly, tearing the little buts of plants up before tossing the handful of greenery aside huffing.

"What in the galaxy am I supposed to do?" Alex mumbled, his voice filled with frustration. "I don't understand any of this. It's like being dropped into a completely foreign world with no guide book or knowledge of the regional language...."

He ripped at the grass again which he had previously been connected to.

The truth of the matter was he was now overstemulated, and overwhelmed, where before he didn't think twice about the calm, quiet whispers of the Force and drowned it out as background noise not worthy of his prolonged attention. Now it was as if everything was dialed up to full volume and Alex didn't know where exactly the dial was or how to turn it with precision.

Looking at Cedwyn, his mentor, Alex's eyes filled with a desperate plea for answers As he mived to sit back up, his frustrations evident.

"Cedwyn, I have no idea what a Jedi is. I've never been exposed to any knowledge about the Force or these religious sects you're talking about. What exactly is their doctrine? And what does it mean to be a Jedi?"

His voice tinged with confusion, Alex continued, "I don't even know what you believe in, Cedwyn.AIs there a name for your beliefs too? Or do you have your own beliefs That dont fit under some umbrella term? Please, help me understand. I feel like I'm trying to catch rain with my bare hands here. "

Alex's frustration was compounded by his lack of foundational knowledge. The world of the Force, Jedi, and religious doctrines was a compleate mystery to him, and he felt like an outsider stumbling through the darkness. He longed for guidance and a way to make sense of this unfamiliar territory. He couldn't understand why this topic was so easily approached by the elder, nor why his makers decidedly didn't inform him of such things before sending him on what was really a blind field test. What was it he was actually being tested on? This realization gnawed at the back Of Alex's mind. You could not fathom why a being of his own design would be created and purposely left without such knowledge about something that seemed so much like a tool he could utilize. This much was evident as he knew that Cedwyn had a sharp edge over him. And could connect and use this stange ability with ease. He came to the conclusion that his creators were lying to him, but why he could not place.
He wondered what else they had told him that was a lie. His original reason for existence was in question now. What was he?

With a mix of anticipation and concern, he waited for Cedwyn's response, desperately seeking clarity and a glimmer of understanding he moved to press his hands tonhis eyes as if pained or overwhelmed in that moment.

Alex was still very openly projecting. It seems like he just didn't know how to turn simple functions on and off. Things somebody who was typically force sensitive might learn throughout their progress of growing up, being attuned to such a sensation as the force, it was very strange.

Cedwyn could sense the frustrations in Alex and realised he had been jumping too far for Alex to follow him. "I'm sorry Alex, I am jumping the gun. I don't mean to overwhelm you with information, teaching others, it is new for me and I am sure I will make plenty of mistakes here. I don't mean to upset you, so appreciate you expressing your issues and your questions are great ones."

"Jedi are a religious group, focused on peaceful approaches to situations. They believe that the Force is binary, that there is a Light Side and a Dark Side, that one must dedicate themselves to the Light Side and not be corrupted by the Dark Side. They proclaim to be peaceful guardians but are often at war with an ancient enemy of theirs called the Sith. A religious zealots that are dedicated to the Dark Side, believing that it is their right to bend and break the Force to their will, that the Jedi limit a person's potential and that they have broken the chains to freedom." It was a brief explanation but if Alex wished to ask for more details Cedwyn would provide it.

He then paused, "I use to believe in both sides. I was originally trained as a Jedi and followed their ways, then I was kidnapped and tortured into believing the Sith held the truth. Over time, I. Over time, I found my own path," Cedwyn began with a sigh, "my beliefs are that the Force is a powerful and ancient thing, that there is only so much we can understand. I believe that the Dark Side is tempting and offers quick power but it corrupts your soul. It takes a part of you away. It can twist you into someone you no longer recognise. But I don't think the Jedi are hundred percent accurate. I think they can be too strict, too judgemental of others and too harsh. I live my own path, where I use the Force to do good, I now attempt to not succumb to the Dark Side and I live as I wish to."

"If you want to learn from me, I can teach you the Force I use but I won't teach you the Dark Side, for me that isn't a life I want to force upon you. It is a dark and dangerous way. But doesn't mean everything I will be teaching you is stuff that Jedi would approve of." Cedwyn admitted, there were skills, smuggling, bounty hunting, pickpocketing and such, those were skills that not every Jedi would approve of him teaching a student but skills he thought was life saving.

He reached out and placed a hand on Alex's shoulder, "this can be a lot and I am sorry that I wasn't making things clearer earlier to you. I jumped some steps because I wanted to rush things, it was good of you to call me out on that." His eyes were sincere and he was hoping to give Alex some relief.

Alex thought about what was said, and was quiet for a while, mentally processing and digesting the information.

As Alex pondered over the information and allowed it to sink in, a new concern arose within him. The overwhelming sensations and heightened perceptions he was experiencing had become a cacophony, drowning out the peace and stillness he sought.

His voice filled with a touch of desperation, Alex turned to Cedwyn, seeking guidance.

"Cedwyn, I can hear and see so much now. It's like everything around me has become louder and more intense. "

He felt a sense of urgency in regaining control over his newfound abilities and bringing back a sense of tranquility to his mind. The constant barrage of sensations and information was presently overwhelming him, making it difficult to navigate the vast sea of the Force.

He had more questions but he didn't give voice to them.

"I can feel...more like I can hear and see--- more like like reading, but with my mind. Its a lot of things now. Things I didn't notice before, or were really quiet feel really loud... how... how do you make it quiet again?" He asked.

One might be bale to green that Alex's affinity with the Force was exactly that. He was drawn to the ability to sense things, like reading them, in a similar way a body language analysis might learn to know what others were telegraphing of their thoughts and feelings with how they moved in slightest small manners.

To hazard a guess, by keeping that tuned very far down to just a whisper it would allow Alex's mind to focus on other things like wind conditions, his breathing, and the best way to make a shot, or to focus on how he moved.

If Alex could learn to balance and control each of those aspects with this affinity of the Force then he would in all likeliness, be very difficult opponent to face.

Cedwyn shifted forward, first times would always be the most intense when it came to connecting to the Force. "Focus on your breathing. Don't let your mind wonder now. Focus on the air filling your lungs, then slowly exhaling. Keep that mind focused on the singular task, drowning out everything else." Cedwyn instructed as he attempted to help Alex shift from using Force Sense and having a hyper awareness of his surrounds to a single focus on himself and letting everything else be drowned out by this focus.

"What you were using was an ability called Force Sense, it heightens one senses, allows them to detect things that are usually in perceivable as a normal being. This can be honed, trained to help you when you fight, improving your sense of danger, detect other Force Users, ripples that are sent through the Force and the ability to sense things better than a standard human." Cedwyn explained, it was a skill most Force Users start with some connection to but also one that honed correctly could be incredibly life saving.

His own aura in the Force would be one offering warm, calm and relaxing mindset, in hopes this would help soothe Alex's concerns. "The Force can give us the abilities to improve and enhance our bodies and push them beyond what is normally possible. It can allow us to powerful feats in combat but also heal injuries and save lives." Reaching out in the Force, Cedwyn lifted a stone and brought it into the space between them, "take this stone and lift it, using the Force. See what you can do there."

In was guidance into another basic Force ability that many Force Users knew but Alex needed to start at the basics to do the more advanced skills that Cedwyn could do himself.

Alex followed Cedwyn's guidance, taking deep breaths to steady himself and regain a sense of calm. As he focused on his breathing, he felt the overwhelming sensations start to fade away, replaced by a growing stillness within. His upset demeanor started to fade too feeling at ease once more as it grew quiet.

Cedwyn's explanation about Force Sense resonated with Alex. It made sense to him that this ability heightened his senses and allowed him to perceive things that others couldn't. He was curious to explore and develop this skill further. Feeling reassured by Cedwyn's comforting presence, Alex began to trust in his guidance.

Alex stared at the stone in front of him, his brows furrowed with a mix of wonderment and confusion. Levitating objects with the Force seemed like something out of a fantastical story, and the mere possibility of doing it filled him with both excitement and trepidation. He reached out his hand tentatively, trying to mimic Cedwyn's actions, but the stone remained firmly on the ground.

Frustration started to creep into Alex's expression as he struggled to grasp the concept. It felt like trying to catch something that kept slipping through his fingers. He let out a sigh, a mix of disappointment and determination fueling his next attempt. With focused intensity, he extended his hand once again, his fingertips trembling slightly as he concentrated on the stone.

But no matter how hard he tried, the stone remained stubbornly unmoved. Alex's frustration grew, his brows furrowing even deeper as he grappled with the idea of manipulating objects with the Force. It was like trying to understand a language he had never heard before, a puzzle that seemed just out of his reach.

"Why is this so difficult?" he muttered under his breath, his voice tinged with a blend of awe and frustration. He watched Cedwyn, hoping to catch any subtle cues or hints that would unlock the secret to levitation. His eyes narrowed in concentration as he attempted once more, his hand trembling with the effort.

The stone wobbled slightly, a mere fraction of an inch off the ground, before promptly dropping back down. Alex's eyes widened in a mix of surprise and awe. It was a small victory, a glimmer of progress, and it fueled his determination to keep trying.

"I... I can't believe this is even possible,"
he murmured, his voice filled with a sense of wonder. The idea that he could move objects with his mind was both thrilling and overwhelming.

IT would seem Alex was very much a neophyte who needed practice at the basics. There was no way around that. He would need to be taught how to interact, how to connect and connect with all the naivety as a child learning to hold and manipulate a pencil for writing for he very first time.

Cedwyn's presence remained calm and soothing, offering confidence in Alex's abilities in the Force. He was sure the kid would get the power, Cedwyn chuckled when he was asked why it was so hard. "It is difficult to use a muscle or part of your body for the first time. Only with practice and training will things get easier. The longer you don't train the abilities, it will get harder to use them."

However, Alex's determination was able to pass through the struggles and there was something, a movement that fuelled the determination and excitement in Alex. "That's great! You are doing good for a first time, Alex." He offered words of encouragement. He smirked to the kid, "just concentrate on that connection to the Force and how it feels, focus on the determination and positive feelings, letting the Force flow through you."

"Let's have a final attempt with the stone and then we will move onto combat." Giving Alex another attempt now that he saw the fact he was capable of doing it.

As Cedwyn praised Alex's progress, a faint blush crept onto the young apprentice's cheeks. It felt nice to hear genuine excitement and praise, a stark contrast to the more disciplined and reserved training he had experienced in the past. The unfamiliarity of such positive reinforcement left him momentarily bewildered, but a warm sense of encouragement began to fill his chest.

Moving even a small pebble with the Force was proving to be a tall order for Alex. He was still grappling with the concept, trying to grasp the intricacies and techniques involved. However, Cedwyn's enthusiastic support had a profound effect on him. It ignited a genuine interest and a desire to not only satisfy his own curiosity but also to impress his mentor.

With a renewed focus, Alex approached the task once again. Though it remained challenging, he tackled it with an unwavering resolve. The frustrations that had weighed him down earlier were overshadowed by his newfound determination. This time, he channeled his efforts with a single-minded dedication, his gaze fixed on the small stone before him.

As he concentrated, the world around him seemed to blur, his focus honed solely on the stone. He reached out through the Force, silently pleading for the power to manipulate it through their newly established connection. With each passing moment, the stone slowly wobbled, responding to his concentrated efforts. The sense of control was tenuous, but it was there.

The stone lifted off the ground, hovering in the air for a brief moment before it began to turn slowly, guided by Alex's focus. It was as if the rest of the world had faded into the background, leaving only him and the stone suspended in a delicate dance of newfound power.

A mixture of awe and satisfaction spread across Alex's face as he witnessed the fruits of his efforts. The joy of accomplishment washed away the frustrations that had plagued him moments ago. In this moment, he glimpsed the immense potential within himself, a spark of possibility that fueled his eagerness to delve deeper into the mysteries of the Force.

With the stone still floating in the air, Alex's determination remained unyielding. He knew there was much more to learn and many more challenges to overcome, but this small triumph was a signpost on his journey. He was ready to explore the boundless horizons of his own abilities, guided by the mentorship of Cedwyn and fueled by his own boundless spirit.

Completely engrossed in his connection with the stone, Alex was oblivious to the subtle shifts in the environment around them. As his concentration intensified, a ripple effect seemed to emanate from the stone. Other pebbles on the ground began to levitate, following the invisible currents of the Force. Unbeknownst to Alex, Alex's and even Cedwyn's hair and nearby twigs started to sway and rise in response to the burgeoning power he was channeling.

The atmosphere crackled with energy, a testament to the raw talent that lay dormant within the determined teenager.

Realizing the impact of his actions, Alex's focus faultered for a moment, causing the pebbles and twigs to gently descend back to the ground. His green-bue eyes widened as he finally noticed the subtle changes in the environment, his own hair ruffled by the invisible currents. It was a humbling and exhilarating realization that he possessed the power to affect the world around him through the Force.

A mixture of awe and confusion washed over Alex as he turned to Cedwyn, seeking guidance and understanding. The magnitude of what he had just experienced left him yearning for answers, for a deeper comprehension of this newfound power. It was a reminder that he had only scratched the surface of the vast and mysterious Force, and there was still much to learn and master.

As the realization of Alex's untapped potential settled upon the both of them, a seed of speculation may have taken root. It seemed peculiar that Alex, who displayed such raw talent and connection to the Force, had lacked the fundamental understanding and knowledge of his own abilities. It didn't add up. Could it be possible that someone or something had deliberately tampered with Alex's innate knowledge, deliberately blocking his understanding of his own gifts? There had to be some kind of reasonbehind this.

As Alex focused and left behind the frustrations and angry emotions of failing, he embraced the excitement and determination to achieve, these seemed to help Alex achieve more with the Force. It was good for Cedwyn to see this, it meant that Alex wasn't going to attempt to approach this from a Dark Side approach, it also meant that Cedwyn's instructions were not focused in the Sith ways and that he could teach someone to keep on the path of the Light Side while also not necessarily be a Jedi. Cedwyn, himself, was not a Jedi.

"That's it. Focus on the emotions you feel now, the positive emotions and strong feelings of being able to achieve this. These things help the Force flow through you and connect strong to the skills I am going to teach you. Using your emotions out of anger or hatred, it is not the path that will make you stronger, it will make you weaker."

Once Alex was lifting the stone and surrounding things, Cedwyn nodded his head, "good to see you have a strong connection with the Force but be cautious in not over extending yourself. Honing the skills and being precise is just as powerful and skilled as the big demonstrations of power." Cedwyn warned since he wanted Alex to know that focusing on just the stone but Cedwyn would pause and rise to his feet. Extending his hand to help Alex onto his feet.

"It is a good start for today though, demonstrates what you can tap into and where we need to hone your skills," Cedwyn commented as he nodded his head and removed his jacket, wearing loose bottoms and removed his shirt to reveal his muscular scarred and tattooed torso. "Now, we will start with beginnings of Echani training, it is about understanding and communicating between two people." Cedwyn informed Alex. "It will take time for you to grips with it. But learning these skills will improve your combat capabilities."

Standing, Cedwyn took a defensive position, coaxing Alex to begin their spar.

As Cedwyn extended his hand to help Alex up, the young newly minted apprentice hesitated for a moment, wariness flickering in his eyes. Trust didn't come easily to him, but the genuine encouragement the man had given him was doing wonders for building good rapport. With a deep breath, he cautiously reached out and clasped Cedwyn's hand, allowing himself to be helped to his feet.

A hint of frustration lingered within Alex, an unspoken weight that tugged at his thoughts. The struggle to grasp the intricacies of the Force and the unfamiliar territory he found himself in gnawed at him. There was a fire within him, a hunger to understand and learn.

Cedwyn's words echoed in his mind, reminding him that mastery of the Force required dedication and perseverance. While frustration simmered beneath the surface, Alex chose to channel it into a driving force, a catalyst to push himself further. He knew that dwelling on the frustrations would only hinder his progress, so he locked his doubts away for now, resolute in his commitment to the path he had chosen.

Alex shifted his focus to the upcoming combat training.

As they assumed their respective positions, Akex's hesitant steps evolved into measured and calculated placements with in a matter of moments; seemingly wanting to put distance between the two of them. He was wary of Cedwyn and uncertain about how to approach him.
"You speak through actions and movements?" He asked presuming there might be some underlying sentiment of body language.

Alex was more accustomed to stalking and hunting his targets rather than head on confrontations, so it was natural for him to want to seek distance when confrontation was brought to mind.

"Aye, the more Echani fight each other, the deeper the understanding and the stronger the bond between them." Cedwyn allowed Alex to shift into a position he was comfortable in, "this connection and bond can develop into friendships, mentorships or delved deeper into romance and love between two people. It is the ability to express your emotions, your feelings but not let them consume you." Cedwyn's stance was relaxed and more a boxer stance than most Echani would take.

He inched closer to Alex, "this can take years to master, decades to achieve it at even a fracture of the understanding that a true Echani fighter would have, but even then, you will be leaps and bounds ahead of most fighters. Especially when you can start mixing in the skills we learn through the Force as well." Moving in closer again to Alex, his fists jabbed swiftly, moving insanely fast and curious to see if the kid would still have some lingering Force Sense to see the attack coming.

"I get you were more an assassin, killing from afar, but you got to know how to fight up close too. Especially if you are going to be a Force User." Cedwyn pointed out, he was curious to the Lightsaber the kid would get one day and what it would look like as well. "So, show me what you got."

As Cedwyn spoke about the deepening understanding and bond between Echani fighters, Alex observed his mentor's movements with keen interest. Cedwyn's relaxed and boxer-like stance piqued Alex's curiosity. He couldn't help but admire the fluidity and precision in Cedwyn's motions, recognizing the years of training and experience that lay behind them.

Alex shifted slightly as if mirroring Cedwyn's stance only briefly before resuming his non-squared-off pose, his focus solely on the physical aspect of the fight. There was a sense of uncertainty about Alex. The Force seemed like a newfound mystery, a wild card that he hadn't quite figured out how to harness. For now, he chose to rely on his physical attributes, his agility, and his instinct.

As Cedwyn inched closer, Alex's senses sharpened, anticipation coursing through his veins. The jabs came swiftly, Cedwyn's fists moving with blinding speed. Alex's years of training had honed his reflexes, and he relied on his instincts to evade the onslaught. It was fluid as he stepped back into a crossover retreat akin to what one might observe in a fencing duel.

With each nimble dodge and graceful evasion, Alex's confidence grew. He became attuned to Cedwyn's rhythm, reading the subtle cues in his mentor's movements. It was almost like a dance.

As Cedwyn's fists darted towards him once more drawing closer to Alex, Alex's body responded instinctively. He dropped down suddenly, executing a low spinning sweep that aimed to take Cedwyn off balance, quite a bit of force and commitment put into this sudden motion. The move was executed with a playful smarminess, a touch of mischief that mirrored Alex's personality.

"Watch your step, old man~,"
Alex remarked with a mischievous grin, his voice laced with playfulness. He reveled in the opportunity to engage in close combat, showcasing his agility and quick thinking. Though he had yet to fully grasp the integration of Force skills, Alex was determined to prove his worth as a formidable fighter. He dove into a swan dive-style roll, and popped right up stepping back into check. Alex seemed to excel more in speed and being light on his feet coupled with agility and flexibility as opposed to strength. He was all too ready to try his hand at a re-match with Cedwyn although to him this was much more of a game of 'rough tag'.

As soon as Cedwyn saw the sweep coming, his stance solidified and he rooted himself to the spot. The sweep proving to be ineffective against Cedwyn's heavier build and time to ground himself heavily. "Need to ensure your opponent does not have time to ground himself when attempting a sweep. Especially one that is bigger and heavier than you. Got to turn the weight disadvantage into an advantage for yourself. Always be prepared to know what is effective against someone heavier than yourself." It was learning to be tricky, and Cedwyn had learnt it well from his time as a Sith, how to turn weakness into strengths and blended it with the fighting skills he had been taught from a young child.

It was easy to tell that the kid was not seeing this as a life or death fight, nor was he taking it as a serious bout, something that a younger Cedwyn would have blasted him for. However, it was good, playing and play fighting was just as useful as being serious. Animals learnt from turning skills into games and having fun with that, Cedwyn saw no reason that he couldn't do the same with Alex, if that was how the kid was going to learn best. It was good to let Alex help guide him in what was his preferred way to learn, how he was going to grow best. Forcing his style would only cause issues and conflict, make Alex resent him and that wasn't what Cedwyn wanted, he wasn't Sith and he knew he was never going to teach that way.

No, he had to focus on just enjoying the moment and let the kid feel like a kid.

The roll and bounce back to his feet and Cedwyn smirk. He bobbed and weaved a little, swaying on the spot before like a lion, he rushed forward. His movements were just as agile and quick. For his size and weight, Cedwyn was a strong and fast fighter, moving much more fluidly like someone similar in build to Alex. He was able to shift and adapt to his different styles of fighting fluidly as well. His blows were no longer boxing punches and strikes but utilising chops and blocks from his Echani training. "Keep fluid, like water. Adjust, move and keep going forward." It was the style of fighting his Jedi Master had taught him, to be liquid and not fixed or solid like rock. Rocks broke, water could not break.
