Show 'Em the Ropes (Linx Darlko)

Linx nodded his head showing his master that he had understood his commands and slowly rose to his feet. As he walked away he tried to use shatterpoint to assess his wounds once more but he quickly realized that he couldn't reconnect with the force and that he had reached his force usage limit. "I have to get to the medical bay soon" he mumbled as he continued his search for Elder Harrigan.

After what seemed like hours of questioning different beings and following maze like directions linx finally reached the living quarters of Elder Harrigan or so he had hoped as he approached the door. Linx raised his fist to knock on the door but instead found himself stumbling forward and slamming into the iron door shoulder first. As the pain shot throughout his body he slowly regained his balance and focus. I've lost a lot of blood, I need to get evaluated quick!" He thought as the door creaked open revealing a warm inviting aura. "My name is Li.... [member="Daxton Bane"]...to you Eld...." Linx faded in and out of consciousnes as he spoke then without warning he collapsed to the ground in a lifeless heap.

Some hours later linx awoke to the sound of droids moving and beeping, and he was strapped down to what felt like a surgical table. "Where..... Where am I?" He managed to get out but it went without reply. Linx tried to use shatter point again but his mind was way to clouded for him to grasp on to any reality that he saw. It was clear that he had been sedated and from the soreness of his shoulder he guessed that he had already went through an operation of some sort. Suddenly a crackling voice came from a far corner of the room, startling linx "So you're awake?" the voice asked. Linx wasn't the easiest person to sneak up on by any means, even without his force sight his hearing was so acute that the lightest footsteps could be heard from 30 yards away or even the beating rhythm of twin zabrakian hearts in a room full of people, linx pondered "Even while under the anesthetics I should have heard them breathing, who is this Elder Harrigan?"

"Not to worry lad, your things have all been taken to your quarters and I've sent word to your master that your surgery was a success, but now is not the time for conversation, now you must rest" continued the voice almost as if he had read linx mind, linx heard a couple of buttons being pressed on a data pad and then the sound of gas been pumped through tubing, "I need ... Need to... Training...." Linx scrambled out as he fell into a deep slumber.

Elder Harrigan chuckled softly as he increased the dosage of sedative. It never ceased to amaze the Togorian that so many would come to learn under the tutlage of the Master. After all many of them had gone on to achieve their own mark in the galaxy, while ten times their number have failed and been buried in unmarked graves, long since forgotten as failing to have met their potential.

Already the academy was abuzz about the duel, Zojin's arrogance caused many to delight in downfall, yet why the young apprentice was sent to him was still a mystery. As the most skilled stalker in the academy, there were few who could escape his pursuit for long, This indicated that the Master expected more from his apprentice than just brute force.

Awakening from his slumber linx set up slowly in the bed, his head was still a little groggy but he felt like new again. Using force sight he checked his surroundings, the room was 450 sq feet (20x20), he laid in a king size bed, across the room on a stand set his vibroblades crossed neatly his lightsaber laid still beside them. After finding his clothing and armor hanging in a nice size walk in closet, he dressed and used the force to call his weapons to him.

"Elder Harrigan" linx was still bothered by the fact that someone had been able to sneak up on him and he had to find out how. Linx scanned the room again, there had to be some kind of clue to finding the elder, he sniffed the air there was a slight scent of feline and a few strains of cat like fur on hardwood floor. "Gotcha" linx mumbled as he followed the scent out the room.

The academy was a busy as Linx had imagined, every turn revealed new auras, different beings that all seemed to direct their attention towards linx, he listened to the whispers about his bout with Zojin and the high chances of retaliation. "Force concealment would be real useful right now" linx thought as he followed the scent out of the academy and towards large temple like building with a single large iron door. Linx scanned the ground, a trail of paw prints radiated same bits of the warm aura he had felt before he had blacked out "He has to be in there!" Linx assured himself as he ducked into the shadows of the building and pieced together a plan, he would wait for nightfall and then sneak in.

[member="Daxton Bane"]

Inside the building, Elder Harrigan patiently waited for [member="Linx Darlko"] to make the first move. The only means of ingress was the iron door and that area was patrolled by a pair of hulking combat droids designed to attack with a flurry of vibro blades and sonic weaponry. Access was further Impeded by a series of booby traps designed to injure and weaken the unwary. There the majordomo waited with patience of a hunter waiting for his prey to make his way to him.

Linx waited hours as darkness fell and silence covered the area. He patiently stalked the entryway of the building, no one entered no one exited, no sounds from inside no nothing, he only felt the single aura and it seemed to have been motionless within the building as well. Linx wondered who was actually being stalked Elder Harrigan or himself.

Linx removed the hilt of his lightsaber from his robes and activated its blade, carefully and quietly he circled the doors lock until it fell into his open hand. As he silently placed the molten lock on the ground linx picked up on a familiar sound, the gentle hum of a vibro blade. Linx snickered to himself in astonishment "A trap, he set a blasted trap for me!" he reconsidered his initial entry and devised another plan.

Linx stepped back from the door and prepared for what was about to unfold as he sliced the two hinges off of the door and force pulled it out of its frame "Let's do this" as the red glow of his saber illuminated off of his face and he rushed in throwing a force push at an attack droid to his left and unleashing an array of slashes towards the remaining.

[member="Daxton Bane"]

What [member="Linx Darlko"] was probably expecting was an easy attack, using brute force to get his way and beat down any opposition. Normally this would be correct and highly effective, however it left one being predictable as well. Being able to know what is his capacity, one could plan and arrange things to work for his disadvantage as well.

Case in point, the attack against one droid was successful, pushing it forcefully into the nearby wall. However, when his blade struck the other did, it unexpectedly sputtered and died the minute the blade touched its specially treated body frame. Before the apprentice could adjust two vibro blades struck outward and cut deeply into the flesh of his upper shoulder and the meaty portion of his thigh.

The plan had worked flawlessly, linx had known better than to foolishly barge into a trap especially not knowing exactly how powerful or cunning Elder Harrigan was. The controlled chaos was just what he had hoped for. As the first droid slammed into the wall the second skillfully impaled linx with its vibro blades in his shoulder and thigh or so it had presumed.

Smirking, "See if you can find me now!" Linx taunted as his doppleganger image faded away and darkness once again covered the room. He had conducted his plan before entering the building, linx was fully aware that his doppleganger technique was nowhere near perfected, he lacked the training to use it for more than a few minutes, as well as in any light it would have easily been exploited for its many flaws and deformities, but in the shadows of the night it had perfectly served its purpose. Linx had purposely caused a ruckus with pulling off the door and quickly activated his ability, once the diversion was set, linx had managed to sneak in and force push the first droid into the wall from the shadows, his "very real" lightsaber still laid on the ground in front of the droid where the image had disappeared, taunting linx for retrieval.

"Where are you?" Linx thought as he used his force sight to scan the room for Elder Harrigan he knew he had to work fast before the discombobulated droids locked on to his signature, linx reached behind himself, grabbed his vibro blades, and took a deep whiff of the scents in the air "You can't hide forever, you can't hide at all!"

[member="Daxton Bane"]

Voices echoed within his head, chattering and screeching like nails on a chalkboard, "Who is hiding foolish child? Come, come into my parlor if you are brave enough." The high pitch was making it hard for [member="Linx Darlko"] to maintain concentration for much longer, he would need to make a move soon or risk losing his concentration.

Linx smiled in anticipation, he loved the thrill of battle, and the thought of injuring or even better killing an opponent sent him to a state of estacy. He spun his vibro blades in his hands and without thought jumped out from the shadows and menacingly attacked the remaining droid. He couldn't waste anymore time playing with these droids and after a few slices towards the mid section of the standing droid he called his saber from its resting spot on the floor and fleed into the darkness following the now enchanting scent of Elder Harrigan.

"He's a telepath too?" He questioned as he recanted on the voice that had echoed in his mind "I have to be careful with this guy", he reminded himself as he reached the parlors door. Linx placed his vibro blades back in their sheaths that were hidden on his back under his robes and ignited his vibrant red light saber. "Here I come" he whispered under his breath as he sliced into the door that stood before him

[member="Daxton Bane"]

The minute the lit saver touched the door, there was a massive explosion which would leave anyone immediately in front of it with ears ringing and senses disoriented, as the shaped sonic charge was designed to do.

"Tsk tsk tsk, child. Had this been a mission, you would have already failed miserably. Sheath your blade and think, what could you have done better?" The voice chided [member="Linx Darlko"]

Linx cringed in pain as the sonic waves traveled throughout his psychy. He could feel his neurons exploding, his brain seemed to do flips inside his skull as pain shot down his spine and he lost all control of his motor skills. As his lightsaber hit the cold hollow floor he briefly heard a murmur of a voice in his head but it was quickly muffled by the continual ringing of his ears.

Sonic explosions were effective aganist murika mainly because they relied heavily on their uncanny sense of hearing almost identically as some primal animals use echolocation. Painfully blinding flashes of the surrounding area pulsated in and out of the mind of Linx as he struggled to stay connected to the force, the pain reminded him of his first encounter with his master [member="Daxton Bane"] as it coursed through his body. He fumbled around on the floor in search of his saber and after finding it he slowly made his way to his feet. "He.. He made a fool out of me!" He whispered to himself as his anger started to rise.

The ringing in Linx ears continued to ring but became drowned out by the uncontrollable rage that was swelling inside of Linx. He unawaringly started gathering force as he started to feel himself losing control "Nobody...NOBODY MAKES A FOOL OUT OF ME!" he screamed out as he slammed his fist into the wall leaving a huge indention and a few loose ceiling tiles on the floor. "NOBODY..." he yelled as he continued to strike the wall, each blow seemed to be more devastating than the last, Linx himself knew that he was gathering the force at a dangerous rate and his physical body couldn't withstand this kind of punishment but he couldn't regain control, this rage this power was something he had never seen before, it was something that scared him.

"This is not you, you're not some brute, you're a strategist get a grip on yourself" Linx pleaded with his psychy until he regained control of himself and was able to calm down. Once himself again he looked around at the scene he had created, his hands were trembling, his blind rage was something he had never felt before, it was something he feared. All around him the walls were crumbled and almost all of the ceiling laid in the floor in rubble, but the banged up iron door still stood as if it was impenetrable. "Think Linx... How would your master get in?" he questioned as he pondered a way inside the door, that is until he noticed the huge gapping hole he had created in the ceiling. Linx smiled and ignited the red blade of his saber once more, this time with murderous intent. "You outsmarted me once, but I won't fall for your cheap parlor tricks again!" Linx snarled as he leaped into the ceiling and a eerie silence covered the room.
