Shut Down all the Gravity Wells on the Detention Lev-erm Belgaroth (Open)

The stun stick, lobbed so unprofessionally at Darth Adekos, spun several times as it flew through the air. This had the unintended affect of having the handle smack Adekos in the face rather than the stunstick. Clearly Adekos was a lucky man. But when you went as long as Adekos did having bad luck, you were bound to run into an instance where things just worked out in your favor. Not that it would last long. In addition to the electric singing of his neck, the stun stick had cause a wicked crack his faceplate and him a great deal more pain. "Damn it! What is with you people and throwing things!" He took an extra minute to recover because he kept trying to move his left arm to rub his face and neck. Again, it merely twitched. He wasn't used to fighting like this.

"This is all coming out of your bank account, mark my words!"

There was, of course, absolutely no time to mark his words. Not before a wall of pure force smacked into him and lobbed him across the hangar bay. As noted before, good luck never lasted long for this Umbaran. He crashed into a crate containing carefully preserved Pau'an tomatoes. They had been labeled as vegetables for trade, even though they were technically classified as fruits. This would have annoyed Adekos to no end if he weren't in a great deal of pain.

Lucky for him, his stormtroopers would be arriving sooner rather than later.

She could feel it, the Alliance evac shuttle was so close now. Just had to get through some fighters. If everything went well, it would land close to kid-Shorn's position. The slicer just had to hold the battered darth's attention for a little bit longer.

"Just give me your account codes and I'll make sure some sort of transaction occurs, gramps."

Another force-shield formed, smaller, 8x8. The slicer flung it forward, hoping to batter-ram Darth Adekos a second time. #ketchup Mind lurched for the door-controls to the only exit out of the city-proper, the one that would let KoKo's reinforcements in, reaching the controls with her mind in an attempt to lock and seal it.

The Umbaran shakily got back on his feet, flicking a slice tomato off his shoulder. These Underground types just had to pick the hangar with the food products to show up in, didn't they? Why couldn't it have been... Anywhere else? Adekos snarled something incomprehensible and began a speedy march towards Spark Finn. She called up another barrier and flung it at him, but the Sithling scarcely even paused. The gauntlet flared. Crimson energy erupted from it, forming a tenuous half circle which the barrier smacked into, destroying it on contact. The whole process took only a few seconds, and when the gauntlet's power and ensuing smoke dispersed, Adekos just kept on coming.

"Don't worry, Spark, I'm not going to kill you or your rotten friend." He said, all too reassuringly. "I'm just going to make sure you live to regret everything you've done here today."

Meanwhile, on the other side of those hangar doors, the Stormtroopers began to try their override codes. Failing that, they would place detonators on the door and gain entrance the old fashioned way. On the topic of detonations: once again, Adekos saw little reason to use anything else. He leveled his good arm at Spark once again and another Force Blast erupted from it, threatening to send Spark, converse and all, into the unforgiving duracrete walls of the hangar bay.

Small-fists balled-up at her sides as he kept coming. Every muscle in her gangly-limbed body wanted to run. Wanted to flicker on that cloak of white current but she stayed - all because of that kid-Shorn. #hadtoprotecthepeeps

Force guantlet is to Adekos as force shield is to Spark Finn. #lolol

Air powered up around her thin-form, anticipating a strike. Pale-brow furrowed as her attention was split between her own shield and working to destroy the controls on the doors. She could feel the tech of the stormtroopers on the other side. #itwasn'tpretty A roar of engines distracted her from above. An alliance shuttle made it through - just an evac team. It hovered near Katya's position. It would...

A malevolent force slammed into her torso - breaking through her shield. Some situations were far too much for a technopath, even a master technopath, to handle alone. For the second time that day, she went airborn without a ship.

Back and head met permacrete. Like a broken match-stick, her form hit the unforgiving city-port floor. A dark-stickly substance oozed from the back of her head, pooling and staining blonde-hair, the back of her slender neck, and the collar of her shirt before settling into a growing puddle next to her unmoving form. Black-rimmed glasses sat askew on her freckled-nose as black-spots began to fill her vision.

Did she see the dark boots of Darth KoKo, #rude, stop in front of her? Did she see Alliance members lay down cover-fire for [member="Katya Shorn"]? Or could they not even get to her?

The Umbaran bent over and examined Spark's prone form. Blood was pooling, but not in life threatening amounts. There was the possibility of a major concussion. Possible skull fracture, brain damage. He wasn't a doctor, he was just assuming. He'd feel just awful if she turned into a vegetable because of this. What a waste of a potential asset that would be! He'd be flogging himself over his recklessness for the rest of his life... Or maybe a couple years. It didn't do well to dwell on the past.

Ah well. She was breathing. She would live. Speaking of which... Adekos could see Katya's feet sticking out from behind several crates, where Spark had left her. Just who was that supposed to be, anyway? She certainly had a lot of moxy. No, wait, that was what stupid people said other stupid people had whenever they did something stupid. All this adrenaline (and perhaps some head trauma of his own) was getting to him. It was time to pack it in. But he wasn't some common footpad, he couldn't lug around Spark Finn and whoever that other trollop was on his own. Not with his other arm blasted out of commission. Where were his blasted stormtroopers?

Adekos looked to the hangar bay doors to see what was the matter, only to wrench his head skyward when the roar of another unmarked freighter. More scoundrels coming to bail out their friends? It was a vain effort at best. The dropship rotated so that its back was facing Adekos. The loading ramp was already down, and lining it were several individuals armed with rifles. An E-Web turret was set up as well. The dropship didn't land. None of them had any intention of getting off the vessel. They were just going to open fire on Adekos with every weapon in their arsenal, but they hesitated. It appeared that Spark being unconscious at his feet wasn't part of the plan. He wasn't supposed to be that close. Now they ran the risk of shooting their ally and they were hesitating over it. Personally Adekos doubted it was out of any personal attachment. Being able to do what she did to the One Sith's security systems was irreplaceable.

Too bad, so sad. The Sith Lord fixated the E-Web turret with a mean glare and ensured Spark's allies would regret their momentary reluctance to act.

It exploded. Violently. And when an E-Web explodes it seldom left anything pretty in its wake. The soldiers standing in proximity to it were blasted apart and a chunk of the dropship was removed as well, causing it to dip abruptly and violently. The hangar bay was showered with debris, plus a couple of mangled corpses, some limbs, some chunks of flesh. The few that came close to hitting Adekos were tactically vaporized by those familiar tendrils of crimson energy originating from the gauntlet he wore. With everyone in the back of the shuttle dead, dying, or incapacitated, the pilot made an executive decision. The ship straightened itself back out and took off skyward again, the ramp attempting to close as it went. It was pursued by a squadron of TIE fighters. Adekos did not remain to see what became of the chase. That was for someone else to decide.

One of these days. He thought indignantly, making for the hangar bay doors. I'm going to turn into that person who kills their subordinates. I try not to, but these people, they're bringing me pretty close.

He was about to scream at those hangar doors when they were suddenly blasted off. Ah. The last act of Spark Finn, closing the bay doors. Hah. It was all irrelevant now. The Stormtroopers filed in, securing the area out of force of habit. Adekos allowed them to do so and didn't speak to the commander until their sweep was concluded. "I want suppression collars and stun cuffs on both of them. Have your field medic stabilize the blonde one, then I want them sedated and thrown into bacta tanks. Put them on the first star destroyer to Telti as soon as possible."

The officer saluted in his Imperial way. Very professional. "As you wish, my lord."

For the next few minutes, Adekos lingered in the hangar, as if to make sure no last minute heroics would take place while his prisoners were appropriately restrained. Once that was done, the Umbaran gave a relieved exhale and dragged himself from the spaceport. There was other work that needed to be done, not to mention the mountains of paperwork he had just added to his plate. And, of course, the transmission he had to to send to [member="Sage Bane"] to give him the wonderful news.
