Description: An update to the SIA-C construction exoskeleton rectifies some of the problems of the original design. Instead of using durasteel weave for flexible components, the armor is now comprised of armorweave and duranium, in order to reduce weight and increase flexibility while providing effective protection at a reasonable price. The medical tanks have been modified to allow any of the three primary healing fluids to be used, not just bacta, allowing for more flexibility there as well. The last major change with the SIA-C's body is that the suit is now powered by an energy crystal shard. This allows for excess plating to be redirected to the back of the suit, allowing for more protection of the energy source from potential threats. Concussive impacts may crack, chip, or shatter the crystal, however, causing a drastic loss of power.
The v2 SIA-C essentially ports over a duranium copy of the Fringe's Advanced Power Armor Mk IF for a helmet. Included are the rebreather mask, filtering out workplace toxins, and a single head-mounted work lamp to allow for illumination of nighttime work. This provides much improved protection when compared to the helmetless design of the previous creation. It does however add slightly more weight to the armor.
Any SIA-Cs already manufactured may be returned to the manufacturer and, for a fee, be upgraded to SIA-C v2 standards.
